CASA DE LEONES is a luxurious, newly renovated (2007) two-story casa located right on the Gulf of Mexico's "Costa Esmerelda" (named for the emerald green waters) in Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico. Progreso is the beach town where the wealthy residents of Merida escape the city heat in the summer months. The casa is approx. 3000 sf, and have both powerful, quiet ceiling fans, and air conditioners in every room.
A Short Walk To The Malecon (The Progreso BEACH Boardwalk), Yet Far Enough Away For Privacy, It Is In A Quiet Area Of UPSCALE Private Beach Homes. Amenities within walking distance are: restaurants, groceries, convenience stores, bars, banks (HSBC, Bancomer), and shopping). The Home Is A 45-Minute Drive From The International Airport In Merida, Or Less Than A 4 Hour Drive From Cancun. If traveling to Progreso via bus from Cancun, it is about $30 from the Cancun bus station to the Merida centro bus station, and the taxi fare from the Merida bus station right to our door is about $25. There are car rentals available in Progreso within walking distance if you wish.
Fully Furnished, This 4 Bedroom, 4 Bath Home Has A Large, Well-Equipped Kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including gas stove, double sink, dishwasher, side-by-side fridge, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans, utensils, cutlery, and glassware, with a breakfast bar. The kitchen is part of the open concept floor plan, and incorporates a living and dining area, with a square glass dining room table that seats 8.
The Bedrooms Sleep 8 Comfortably, and includes a king bed in the master suite, a queen bed in the second oceanfront room, a queen bed in the main floor bedroom, and two twin beds in the children's room. Both oceanfront rooms have TV sets, with local cable that does include a few English-speaking channels (MTV is one of them!). All linens and towels are included. Boasting 3 Terraces (2 With Magnificent Ocean Views), You’ll Never Lack A Place To Sit Back, Relax And Enjoy Your Stay. The Private Pool is directly on the beach and is completely surrounded with a cool-concrete patio and of course has a fabulous view!
