The Salmon River Reserve is nestled amongst the Wildwood Recreation Area, numerous hiking and biking trails, spectacular fishing holes and convenient to the grocery store and great local restaurants. If you are a skier, snowboarder, telemarker, outdoor enthusiast or someone who just wants to wrap themselves in the peaceful surroundings , this is the spot.

My family spent our first holiday in Oregon at the cabin in Welches this year. We had the most amazing experience. The house was fabulous, the owner was lovely to work with and our overall experience was better then I could have imagined. Everything was at the house and we could just focus on enjoying our family. We took advantage of all the outdoor activities the mountain has to offer. It was amazing to wake up to the flowing Salmon River. We can't wait to go back!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

This is a great home for a group of friends or family. It offers space yet intimacy, family friendly but also can cater to an adult only environment.

Every year 10 of my closest friends plan a "girls retreat" to a different location. This year we selected Mt. Hood. Clint's home is set right on the Salmon River. He had all of the fixings for a bon fire along the river! The hot tub was perfect and added to the experience. The home had 2 king sized beds and 6 full sized beds. Almost everyone in our group got their own bed. The home was comfortable and the owner was spectacular to work with. There is a secondary home that is also available for rent (which we didn't need), although I will definitely think about it for future family outings.
