Whether you are going for the fishing, the scenic beauty or the wildlife, this is your opportunity to share our "little piece of Heaven on earth!" This newly built 1000 sq. ft. log cabin in the woods sits just outside the Kenai Wildlife Refuge where Alaskan wildlife abounds.

The Kenai River boasts some of the best King Salmon fishing in the world and there is both bank and guided fishing close by. The beautiful community of Homer, Alaska is only an hour and a half drive from the cabin. Homer is the Halibut fishing capital of the world.

The cabin is approximately 45 minutes from Cooper's Landing and about 2 hours from Seward.

Jul rates are     $230/night (for up to 4 people)
Additional people are an additional $25/night per person with a max. of 6 total
$230 damage deposit with $150 fully refundable after damage inspection
The remaining $80 is kept for cleaning purposes
Deposit of 50% will hold reservation with balance due 14 days prior to stay.
Personal check is fine as long as there is a minimum of 14 days to allow clearing.

  • My wife and I stayed in the cabin on 9/6 and 9/7/08. We were very pleased. For less than the price of a hotel room, we got a nearly-new two-bedroom, 1 1/2-bath spotlessly clean cabin with a modern kitchen, living and dining areas, washer/dryer, and satellite TV. Don't let the 14-mile drive out of town put you off. It's worth it. The road takes you past the Soldotna airport and golf course and through some beautiful country. One evening we saw a young moose grazing by the side of the road. Since we were traveling a long distance, I was concerned that the cabin would be less than advertised. I can say unequivocally that this property is actually nicer than the photos and description. Soldotna is a larger town than we anticipated. There are two large super markets and many restaurants and retail stores in case you need anything while there.

  • I spent a bit over a week at this property and enjoyed my stay there very much. I was there from 3/16/08 to 3/26/08. The snow was beginning to melt off and the Kenai river was starting to thaw. I enjoy cooking and the kitchen in the cabin is really nice. The cabin is 14 miles from Soldotna off Funny River Road and I enjoyed the drive each day with lots of Moose and an occasional Bald Eagle. This was my first trip to Alaska in many years (I am 47 and was last in Kenai when I was 17) and I very much enjoyed my time in the Kenai area.
