We took a family vacation during spring break. The house was very spacious and worked well for a family of four and two additional adult couples. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Thanks for a lovely week!

Wonderful house. We didn't need anything, so fully stocked. Bedrooms and bathrooms were large and clean. The house is so nicely decorated. The kids spend the first two days playing in the game room. The hot tub was the end of the day highlight. The house has a really nice deck. The walk to the beach was a few minutes, and the beach was very peaceful. We had three generation staying there from 8 years old to 68 and everyone loved it. Gail was wonderful to work with and provided lots of information. She even accommodated us spending an extra day. If you are looking for night life and shopping, this is not the place(go to Nags Head, and Corolla) . This is definitely a quiet, get away from it all area of the Outer Banks, old school OBX. Salvo and the area definitely has a down home neighborly feel. There are the nice guys at the Waves Market down the road (great french fries and sandwiches), The nice people that work at Ugly Mugs (get the 4 shot drink, wow), and Gringos Taco Shack at the Hatteras Marina (fresh shrimp tacos to die for). Don't miss Tuesday night Bingo in Buxton with the Old Anglers. The Food Lion 13 miles down the road is fully stocked and prices are the same as at home, really nice wine and beer selection. We definitely recommend the house!!!

My wife, children, and I arrived ready to rest and relax. The home was immaculate and all the necessary items were there for us to do just that. The home was as beautiful as the pictures. The area was quiet and we never felt that we were on top of our neighbors. We rented bikes, walked and ran in the surrounding streets and felt safe. Restaurants were just minutes a way and a full service supermarket was about a 15 minute drive. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food at The Top Dog. Make sure you look at the information book at the house, it has a lot of ideas for activities and dining. The beach was just a couple of minutes away and was never crowded and always clean. We made a nighttime trek to the beach to build a fire and make smores and were lucky enough to see a full moon rise. The owners were very easy to communicate with, answering their emails promptly and giving directions completely. We want to come back to the area and to this great house.

We had a wonderful time at the beach. The weather was perfect and your Casablanca beach house was everything we could have hoped for – well cared for, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. As first time visitors to the Outer Banks we also appreciated all the local information and tips you provided. If we plan another Outer Banks vacation we will definitely look you up again.

This cottage is great! Very clean and well equipped. It was very close to the beach and we could hear the surf. We still can't believe how much space it has! We enjoyed going to the lighthouses in the area and the beach. Thanks again for everything.

Great Place!

My family and I really enjoyed this home. It felt like home. Everything you need is right there. Plenty of room for everyone. The kids had fun playing hide and seek inside! The views from the top floor bedroom are spectacular.... we were lucky to be there during a full moon. At night it felt like you could reach out and touch it.. and you could see the moons reflection on the ocean. It was beautiful!! Casablanca is in a great location. You are in a quite area and yet only 5 minutes away from restaurants and shopping if you turn right and 15 minutes away if you turn left. And if you are a Nicholas Sparks and Richard Gere fan, the "Inn at Rodanthe" is only 5 minutes away. The locals are very nice and enjoy telling about the making of the movie and how the Inn was moved. This was our first trip to the Outer Banks but it won't be our last. Thanks Gail and Dan for sharing your home with us. We'll be in touch for another stay in the future!

We had an AWESOME time and so enjoyed your beautiful house. Everyone loved it and we all decided we could live there permanently...haha. We had all kinds of weather during the week. Each day was a new adventure and everything was so comfortable and convenient. Thank you for sharing your house with us this past week. Family Vacation

The house was beautiful. It had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves indoor & out. It was a short distance to the beach where we spent most of our time. I liked the fact it wasn't overly developed and that we were still within driving distance to area attractions. I hope you enjoy your time there as much as we did.

Casablanca - A Welcoming Haven!

Your house was a welcoming haven after a 10-hour ride with the two fidget midgets (our 7 & 8 year old grand-daughters) -- the last 30 minutes of which we were blinded by the rain swells and mini-pools on the road. My husband and I spent the first few days trying to amuse the girls with inside activities, shopping, etc. Then the sun came. Wednesday was a delight. Our daughter, her new husband and his two sons arrived during the wee small hours of Thursday morning, caught a few Zees and almost didn't stop until we all left this morning. Everyone had a blast and enjoyed they many thoughtful perks you and your home offered. My husband and I were happy to spend time with our newly extended family. The boys dragged the beanbag chairs to the living room for our late-night PG & popcorn movies. The beach cart made the treks to the beach a breeze. The extra sand toys stopped the arguments about who was using what shovel, pail, etc.. The house layout provided comfort, privacy, and no wait for the bathrooms! And the hot tub was the icing on the cake! We've spent many vacations for the past 25 or so years in the Kitty Hawk - Nags Head area, but never experienced the wide beaches offered in Salvo. Very nice! Thank you for the many thoughtful choices you and your husband made to make your renters feel at home -- and for your kind and prompt communications. This was a most memorable vacation week for all. DJ

CLEAN & COMFORTABLE!

This was the most relaxing vacation we have had in many years. Your house is comfortable, convenient and so usable. We especially appreciated the efficient A/C system which kept the entire house comfortable and dry even with temps hovering around 100 and high humidity when we arrived. The beautiful decor adds so much to the vacation experience. There wasn't a speck of sand, dust or dirt anywhere and every surface was immaculate. The bed linens were all clean and crisp with plenty of pillows and blankets for everyone. The bathrooms were so clean and fresh. We also truly appreciated the well stocked kitchen. We really prefer to cook for ourselves and it was nice that we didn't have to bring anything of our own except our food. Even the porch furniture was clean and comfortable, as was the hot tub. This was the perfect location for all of us. Both families enjoyed the peace and quiet of Salvo coupled with having so many attractions within a short driving distance. This was so much more enjoyable to us than the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas. The guys really enjoyed fishing and we ladies loved sitting on the beach with a good book. Even the teenagers had a great time. We have rented a number of vacation homes over the years and yours, by far, outshines anything we have seen. We will surely tell everyone we know about your vacation rental.

Our vacation was superb! Weather was perfect, beach was so relaxing and lovely, and the house was just wonderful - so clean and well-equipped with EVERYTHING we could possibly need! The property is JUST as pictured & described on the website with no unwelcome surprises, and it is obvious that the owners love the place as much as the guests, because it is so well appointed and maintained. All of our families loved it, and we hope to do it again & again!

Great Location in the Middle of OBX

Gail is most helpful in making all the arrangements and providing details, including helpful hints about the location. Even with rainy weather there is lots to do in the area inside. The house is well maintained and clean with a well equipped kitchen for cooking.

The Best Place for family vacations!

We have stayed twice at Casablanca in 2002 and 2003 and plan to come again. This home is well equipped and kept in brand new condition. It has always been spotless. The owners are terrific to work with and communication is excellent. We have had a rough few years and have not been able to return as soon as we had liked, but rest assured when times start looking up you WILL find us there and we will be enjoying the fishing tournament.
