Cozy and comfortable unit above the main house. Described perfectly on VRBO. Bed in the master bedroom is like sleeping at home. My wife and I were there for the month of February. It is the perfert NE location with an easy walk to everything you need plus access to all public transportation for easy no car access to downtown to avoid parking. Hope to go back soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car.
Owner response: We love have visitors like you! Waiting for a new grandchild to be born in Portland! Congratulations and we hope you will come back to visit often! Mary Jean

I stayed at this property for the last three years from Aug - May and felt it was the perfect location and a very comfortable unit. You can walk right in a set up for months with just a suitcase. Mary Jean always makes sure it is well maintained and equipped with everything you need. The Hollywood area is great for shopping, restaurants and coffee shops.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with young children.

The house is beautiful. I especially enjoyed having breakfast in the nook with the French doors open and having a glass of wine on the front porch each afternoon. Actually, I was inspired to write my wedding vows on that porch.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1996
About the owner: I have worked in Real Estate here in Portland for 16 years! I used to live in this beautiful bungalow and have since moved to a house with a bigger yard for our dog to play in. I love Portland and all that the city has to offer. NE Portland is a very popular area full of restaurants, art galleries, events, and stores with locally made items and food. Walk score over 90+.
Why the Owner Chose Hollywood:
I used to live in this beautiful bungalow and have since moved to a house with a bigger yard for our dog to play in. Portland is becoming such a popular city I thought I would take advantage of all the tourism coming into our city. It is so nice getting to communicate with and meet renters from all over the country and the world!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Portland has one of the highest rated public transit systems and it stops just down the block! Just hop on a bus or the light-rail (MAX) and you're downtown before you know it. The MAX even goes to the airport! Our house is also conveniently located to many outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, and golf. Why stay in a stuffy hotel room when you can enjoy two bedrooms and a whole kitchen? Vacation rentals are perfect for families or people who would love to save money by eating at home.
