As part of the family, Napoleon Dynamite's (Jon Heder) favorite getaway is Coyote Crest, a romantic, yet family friendly 2 bedroom cabin in central Big Bear Lake. Enjoy this quality LAKEVIEW cabin in the best location in Big Bear.
For those of you tired of So. Cal. driving, once you arrive at Coyote Crest, you never have to get in your car again. Walk to the village for boutique shopping, gourmet dining, movies or bowling (a Napoleon favorite!). Miles of trails for hiking and biking are out the back door and skiing is a short drive (1 mile) away. Or just enjoy the incredible views from the 2nd floor outdoor deck hot tub.
The focus at this upstairs unit of the cabin is to see the lake and majestic mountain views from all the main rooms of the home. Whether you are in the living room by the fire, at the kitchen sink, or kicking back in the master bedroom by the fire, there is not a view of the lake that can not be seen! If you are looking to be "At" the lake "AND" enjoy a true mountain cabin experience, (completely remodeled inside) this is the cabin for you! Don't be a "friggin idiot" - Rent this cabin now!
For those with families, the cabin has the following:
port-a-crib
High chair
booster seat
yard with swings, tree house and a hill for sledding

Our family of two adults and three kids were very happy with the rental. It was much nicer than expected and we loved sitting in the jacuzzi surrounded by snow everywhere. It was 20 degrees outside with 50 mph winds one evening, but the heater and two fireplaces worked great. Favorite part of Big Bear was the town, movie theaters, and tubing park! We loved the house so much that we have already referred it to our neighbors and will be back next winter!

This is, bar none, my favorite place to stay in Big Bear. It's totally family friendly - with amenities (port-a-crib & playhouse) for kids and a rare jacuzzi on the deck for mom and dad after the tots are asleep. We love how close it is to the village, but still feels far enough to really enjoy the stars. The big bed, decks on both sides and bathtub are to die for too! No other place in the area comes close for us. We don't even look anywhere else anymore. Have fun & bring stuff for Smores!

This really is an exceptional vacation rental. The photos don't do the place justice. It is very, very clean, and seems to have been recently renovated with bright, fresh colors and comfortable furnishings. The interior is very bright and huge windows provide lots of natural light and breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It was very peaceful and private, yet just a few minutes from the village and slopes. When we arrived (quite late on a very cold Wednesday evening) we were relieved to find that the heating was on and the whole place was very warm and welcoming. We didn't want to leave! We have no complaints and urge anyone considering a trip to Big Bear to stay at this beautiful rental. The only things we would have liked would have been a lot more hangers and an iron and ironing board. Not a big deal. We had a great time and will be back in the winter.

Wow!! I had a great time with my family, great location and lake view, very clean and modern. I recommend for whom ever wants to book this place to take couple cooking pots ( it's a must) and some extra towel. I stayed 2 nights, my son had a great time, the property had toys, VHS cartoon movie and books and game to play. The owner Meg is very nice, I will book this place again and will recommend to my friends. Hope a set of cooking pots will be place at the property by my next booking.

This cabin everything we hoped and more. It was clean, modern, quiet, close to the village, and has tremendous views. It was a perfect getaway for my wife, and sons ( 3 yrs & 3 months old). Meg was very accomodating and we plan on coming back in the future!

Coyote Crest was amazing! This was easily the best cabin I've stayed in out here. The views were great and the spa was a great touch at night as well. The cabin itself was like a home away from home; very clean and much more modern than most of the places in Big Bear. The cabin is also VERY close to the main strip and it's also only a 5 minute drive from a great hike (Pine Knott). The owners were also very nice and accommodating. Also, I was a bit worried about the fact that the cabin is "attached" to the main house, but that was not an issue whatsoever. We were very isolated and had our total privacy the entire weekend. I'd love to come back here and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I stayed here with my husband, son and one other small family. What an incredible, cozy charming place this is! It's so close to the Village and very kid friendly. The tree house is so cute! After a long day of sledding, we were mellowed in the hot tub overlooking the view of the lake! Thank you so much for an incredible experience! We will be visiting again!

We enjoyed a one week stay at Coyote Crest in April/May of 2009. Very comfortable, clean location, reasonably priced and with all the amenities of home. Would be ideal for a small family. Meg was very helpful and easygoing during booking and our deposit was promptly returned after checkout. We hope to come back sometime soon!

Our family stayed at Coyote Crest in April for 3 nights. The pictures on this website don't do the cabin justice, it is wayyyyy nicer once you're there. The kitchen is very well equipped, there's a jacuzzi on the deck (we didn't use it though), the rooms are airy, smell good, and they all have nice views. There is a treehouse and small play area for kids right in front of the cabin. We liked our stay so much, we are already thinking of coming back.

We just got back from three wonderful nights at Coyote Crest. The pictures do not do it justice! There is plenty of room for everyone and the location cannot be beat. The house is definitely walking distance to the Village area, but up the hill so you feel you are in the woods. We will definitely stay there again and again!
