Casa Nina Villa is located in the historic fishing village of Bucerias in Mexico’s state of Nayarit. The villa is in a private compound (containing 8 privately-owned units) that sits on the longest sandy beach on Mexico's spectacular Banderas Bay. In fact, the only things between Casa Nina's living room and that beautiful sunny beach are a tiled lanai, the cobblestone patio you’ll enjoy many meals on, our large private palm-shaded pool, and the manicured gardens around it.
You'll love our perfect weather. We borrowed it from Camelot! During your visit you’ll spend idyllic days basking in the warm Mexican sun, swimming in our private pool, relaxing on the patio, wandering the miles of natural beach, watching sunsets so spectacular no photo can do them justice and exploring historic Bucerias and the surrounding area.
You’ll find our local people open, friendly and helpful. We're also blessed with visitors, tourists and guests who are among the world’s highest quality people! Each time you visit us you’ll go away having made a half-dozen new friends from all parts of the world. And when you return, there’ll be more new friends to greet you and new destinations to explore.

Even after 30 years we’re still discovering delightful places to visit and fun things to do just a few miles from Casa Nina’s front door. The stunning jewel that is Banderas Bay is rimmed by beautiful mountains that stand in silent tribute to the sparkling body of water they surround. Not far from our weathered front door there are art galleries and museums to explore, hidden villages to discover, beaches to walk and waves to surf… the delicious adventure that is Vallarta to explore, natural mineral hot springs to soak in, mountain forests to walk and breathtaking views to enjoy.
Expect to start your days with intimate breakfasts on Casa Nina's large private balcony, enjoy quiet afternoons laying in the sun or reading by the pool, end your days with breathtaking sunsets and dine alfresco on Casa Nina's tiled patio in the evening. Or, invite a few friends in for a delicious meal in your dining room and pleasant coffee table conversation afterwards.
There’ll be many days when you are tempted not to leave Casa Nina's private seclusion. But leave you will... For there are hundreds of wonderful places to go and delightful things to do just a stone’s throw from Casa Nina’s front gate! Wander down the cobblestone streets and visit the old church in our historic village plaza. Go out the back way and meander down the beach watching the gulls, collecting shells and alert for whales and schools of dolphins in the bay. Buy hand-made souvenirs, gifts and collectibles from native craftsmen, browse our open air markets, enjoy delicious meals in our family-owned restaurants and explore the many businesses that line our picturesque streets. Your most important decision of the day may be whether to enjoy a quiet meal at home, go down to the plaza and dance to live music, or dine out at that delicious new restaurant on the beach the Australian couple opened last week.
Before you head home, you'll want to plan a day of shopping in Puerto Vallarta, of course. But you'll only need one of those. Vallarta is a busy and hectic place where "time flies". Casa Nina and Bucerias on the other hand are places where "time walks"... and some say it even stands still!

Do not waste your vacation $ on this dirty unkept condo! Tubs/showers, floors (everything really) was extremely dirty, with unkept appliances, smelly/dirty furniture and beds and lines. Everything is either falling apart or already broken in this condo. It was obvious that the owner doesn't care about the quality of her rental, she was defensive and rude when we asked for someone to come and do a cleaning. We have used VRBO for many years and thank goodness this is the first bad experience we have encountered. Enjoy your vacation in beautiful Bucerias, just don't stay here!
Owner response:Before arrival guest had a reservation in Puerto Vallarta which she said had canceled her reservation and asked for more time in my unit. She asked to arrive on the 19th; but didn’t show up until the 21st. Upon arrival guest asked about maid service. I explained the maid comes once a week on Saturdays. She said the unit was dirty. The maid spent 5 hours cleaning on the 18th before their scheduled arrival the 19th. My maid has worked for me 8 yrs. She does a great job. I’ve never had a complaint before. Their delayed arrival meant the maid would clean the day they left. Guest asked if the maid could come Tuesday while they were out. She did come and I paid for the service. When she left the following Saturday guest left a list of issues stating: - Bad Beds - The beds are top quality and in good condition. My linens are 400 count percale. Linens are laundered weekly. No one else has complained. - Towels stink - I do my own linens. They’re washed, rinsed twice - with Downy, hung out to dry and dryer fluffed. - Guest said: No place to hang towels - The shower rod and towel holders are where most people hang towels. All baths had places to hang towels. This is the tropics. If you don’t hang wet towels to dry here they mildew and stink. - Next she said the fridge stinks. The guest left rotting food in the fridge plus a bag of dead fish from fishing on Wednesday – unrefrigerated on the floor beside the fridge. Once we removed the rotted food the odor was gone. - She also complained about appliances. They are not old and they all worked before the guest cut the cords off every small appliance in the kitchen. - Next she complained the furniture was dirty. It is not dirty. Now it’s my turn… - When they left the whole condo was a mess, the dishwasher was full of not just dirty dishes but food. Dishwashers don’t have built in disposals. - I asked that the linens not go on the lawn. The Ws took blankets and towels out on the lawn. They left 121 empty beer, scotch and rum bottles under the cabinets. - Guest deliberately sabotaged every small appliance in the condo by cutting the cords off. - Every thing that could possibly hold cigarette butts was overflowing. We removed several large bags of trash guests left behind. 99% of my guests are fantastic. This tenant was awful. Now I know why the place they rented in Vallarta gave them their money back and told them to get lost. Thanks I appreciate the chance to reply.

Due to a delayed flight, we did not arrive into PV until quite late (not allowing us time to shop for some incidentals like coffee, until morning). We were provided with excellent and concise directions from the airport to Casa Nina and upon our arrival, we were delighted to see that not only was there a selection of muffins, cheese and crackers, but also some cold beverages in the fridge, as well as coffee!! The accommodations are great! The style is traditional, but the beds are comfy and the linens are fresh (our host hangs all laundry on a clothes line!) The location is perfect for those without a car as you can take the main street into town and visit many great shops and restaurants. Our host was extremely helpful in guiding us to some great spots. I would recommend this beautiful house on the ocean to anyone travelling to Puerto Vallarta and surrounding area. Bus service to PV as well as Sayulita (cool surfing town north) is extremely convenient as well.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at Casa Nina as guests before it became available for rental. We are pleased to see that is finally available for others to share in this lovely spot in paradise. After your first trip to Bucerias you will be ready to return again and again. Casa Nina is a perfect retreat on the water to recharge your batteries and have a ocean front vacation in paradise.
