Villa Tamarindo is located high on a ridge bordering the VI National park. We have private access to the Caneel Hill Trail which leads to a nearby overlook and on to the North Shore beaches. The villa is only one mile from the shops and restaurants of Cruz Bay yet is tucked away in a private area. The road is paved all the way to your large flat parking area and does not require 4WD. Villa Tamarindo is managed and maintained by the owners and we can assure you everything in the house will be clean and in perfect working condition. The villa has two master bedrooms with king size beds making it perfect for two couples or a family with the twin option in one room. The stunning views from every room and the secluded garden pool deck give you a reason to return home early from the beach every day. The ridge top location is almost always breezy and bug free. Individually controlled air conditioning in the bedrooms give you comfort year round.
The villa has a central great room and kitchen with the master suites off to each side. Walk through closets lead into the baths with their stone and tile showers. The terrace deck runs the length of the home with private entries from each room. This deck has a covered dining area with fans off the great room and plenty of room off each side for sunning on the lounge chairs.
The fully equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances and corian counters. All appliances are state of the art and you will find every whisk, spatula, and knife you need including service for 12, plenty of glasses and cloth napkins. Villa Tamarindo is truly a 5 star facility.
Our great room has Wireless Internet, Satellite TV DVD CD with speakers for the pool deck. The house also has a full laundry.
The antique bricked pool deck has hardwood furniture round a teak ships hatch style table under a thatched palapa for al fresco dining. A large Weber grill will assure the biggest BBQs go off with out a hitch. Or relax in the sun or under the umbrella on the lounge chairs.
Villa Tamarindo comes with all the amenities you will need for your vacation including beach chairs, towels, coolers, and pool floats. Don’t even worry about bringing shampoo, soaps, hairdryers or an iron. There is also a bocce court on the grounds for some afternoon competition between guests.
Perhaps our biggest draw is the proximity of the National Park. Our own spur trail leads 20 yards to the Caneel Hill Trail and the Caneel gut trail. A five minute walk leads you up to the observation platform on Caneel hill and a 360 degree panorama. Another twenty minutes and you are on Soloman or Honeymoon beaches reachable only by boat or trail. Or stroll down the gut trail amidst trees almost as old and impressive as our own giant tamarind tree.

Stay 12/21/11-12/31/11 Beautiful villa with everything you need in St John. Great for hikers since trails are right out the back door. Hike down to all the best beaches and then when back up, jump in the pool. Mike was a great host, met us at the ferry to lead us to the villa and left a few groceries for our first night. We would never stay anywhere else in St John!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Villa Tamarindo was the perfect get away spot for our anniversary trip. Great layout with a private pool deck that was so relaxing after the hikes and the beaches. We loved the outdoor speakers and the satellite TV/Radio. Eating breakfast or dinner on the porch and enjoying the beautiful views or watching the stars was also great. The house was spotless and obviously well cared for. Mike was patient at answering our questions and made sure everything went as planned. He, Terry and Tom were great hosts. We could not have picked a better home for our trip of a life time.

Our week at Villa Tamarindo was fantastic. The home's beautiful design extends to the stonework and walls at the pool, and the arched front veranda overlooking St. Croix; We enjoyed the comforatable dining and lounging areas; Very well equipped kitchen; Welcome basket; Beach chairs and coolers; Sound system (indoor/outdoor), great landscaping, hiking trails, washer/dryer, and of course, Mike's (on-site manager) friendly assistance. Immaculate cleanliness and maintenance.

We recently returned from a pleasant stay at Villa Tamarindo. It was lovingly built and is managed by the owners who have thought of everything to enhance the experience of their guests. It is first rate. When we arrived we were welcomed with a fruit basket, bottle of rum, snacks and breakfast food in the fridge. We even had over sized towels, chairs and coolers for the beaches. A real winner!

Our family just finished up a week at Villatamarindo. We had a great time. We enjoyed being right next to the trail and used it several times. The breeze made things very comfortable at all times. The facility was in excellent condition and everything we thought we might need for our stay was provided. We also enjoyed the boche ball court. An excellent place to stay!

IMMACULATE HOME! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We just finished a week-long stay in Villa Tamarindo and we were so sad to have to leave. Every detail of this house has been well thought out and it is fully equipped with everything you might need on vacation. This is a totally FIRST CLASS villa. For our next visit to St. John, we will definitely stay here again.
