My wife and I just returned from a amazing two week vacation staying in this apartment! First let me say we are in our early 30's and this was our first time in Paris. We selected this apartment because of the reviews, pictures & location. Let us tell you that everything you see in the pictures is 100% accurate but I will say as nice as the pictures are it is still SO much better in pereson. We origionally spoke with Marie-Christine about 8 months before arrivial and she was amazing to deal with. She always responded right away to any type of question we had no matter how big or small over the months and days before our vacation. She had every detail down and made the whole process very simple for us. We could not have asked for a better host. We recieved our deposit back in full the morning we left. The apartment is truly in the best location!! Lots of cafes just a block or two away in any direction. The same goes for shops. You can jump on one of many boats to ride up and down the river with just a verry short walk. Also just two blocks away is the RER & Metro to take you anywhere you would want to go & of course open bus tour stops right next to the RER & Metro also. Siting by the open windos watching the boats and people was great and very relaxing. The street is very quiet and with the windows closed you do not hear a thing. Marie-Christine and her Husband where both GREAT. We needed help one day getting a tour conformation printed out and gave her a quick call on her cell phone. She made a call to a friend around the corner and they let us use there printer. How many people are going to do that???? Again amazing! The apartment was great it had everything you would need. Lists and brocures for everything. Advice on where to go for what and tips from past guests on places for food and drink locations that they liked. To sum this up the bed was nice & comfortable and the bathroom was full size. The location and view are amazing. We are planning on returining and already have a few friends looking into staying here after hearing how great it was. Take it from me I spent months reading reviews and looking at pictures online and after a great two weeks of living in this apartment I will say BOOK THIS ONE! Marie-Christine thank you for everything it was great to get to know you. We hope to return ASAP! Thanks, Tampa, FL

On my fifth trip to Paris, but my first alone, I finally got to rent an apartment, and this one was the perfect choice. Charming, comfortable, historic and with amazing views of the Seine River and the Hôtel de Ville, it just can't be beat. The owners were equally charming and very helpful, including getting me and way too much luggage to the train station to head to Nice after my stay in Paris from December 26-January 2. The location is wonderful, easy access to several Metro lines, convenient to all the Île-Saint-Louis has to offer as well as the 5th and 4th arrs. Many, many things are walking distance, and I really enjoyed being so close to Notre Dame and its lovely garden. The apartment was clean, well decorated, plenty of storage space for one or two, spacious once the bed is lifted (which takes 5 seconds), and the little kitchen was great for morning coffee and bringing in cheese, pâté, patisseries, bread, roast chicken and all the other goodies from the wonderful markets and shops in Paris. As a woman alone, I never had a minute's concern for safety or security either in the apartment or on the street. It's a great little quartier, with a really good, authentic, neighborhood restaurant just around the corner (recommended by Marie-Christine). I had a wonderful trip and loved my little apartment--I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

We stayed for one week in this wonderful apartment on the Ile de la Cite and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everything was exactly as described and the view was amazing. We never tired of the ever changing scenery, especially at night. Marie Christine & Marc were the perfect hosts right from the start - from the e-mail communications to greeting us with big smiles when we arrived. They had many things stocked for us already like coffee, tea, sugar, spices and even several large bottles of water. Extra paper towels, toilet paper where also there so we didn't need to buy any of it. Everything was immaculate and even thought the apartment is small there just is nothing left to be desired because they thought of everything and the space is utilized perfectly! The appliances in the little kitchen were modern and new and we enjoyed our breakfast every morning with one (or two) cups of coffee from the Senseo coffee maker. The bathroom was amazingly spacious and we loved the size of the shower. They provided plenty of towels for us both for the kitchen and bathroom. The electric Murphy bed was very comfortable and we just loved laying there at night and looking out of the large windows. There were lots of books and information provided and Marie Christine gave us many more tips for Restaurants and things to do when we arrived. We will forever be spoiled by the perfect location of the apartment (and did I mention the view) because so many thing were in walking distance and even if not - there were many different Metro stations just 5 min away. The building is very safe and the elevator, although very small, also helps if someone has trouble with stairs. We cannot say enough great things about this little Gem and I am already planning a return trip hopefully for 2013. How could we ever stay somewhere else from now on! Merci beaucoup :-)

We stayed here in November 2011 for 10 days and highly recommend this studio to anyone who wants the best location in Paris, fantastic owners who really care about your experience and a small but very workable space to come home to after each big day exploring the city. The view is incredible and we spent many evenings sipping a glass of wine at the window watching the traffic on the Seine. Thank you for a great stay. Jacquie & Yuka, Canada

We could not have been happier with the apartment. It is precisely as it appears in the photographs: charming, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. Marie-Christine welcomed us warmly and provided excellent communication before and throughout our stay. She also arranged for transportation to the train station for our next stop and bid us adieu personally. Although the apartment is small, Marie-Christine and her husband Marc have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable. We managed to prepare several nice meals in the little kitchen area, although wonderful restaurants are nearby and plentiful. The building in which the apartment is located is from the 18th century, but we were amazed at how well it had been retrofitted so one does not miss 21st century comforts. Even the tiny elevator in the middle of an ancient spiral staircase seemed to be a modern miracle. Additionally, we were very glad to have reliable internet access and free phone calls back to the States. It would be impossible to find a more ideal location. Notre Dame cathedral is just steps away. The Louvre is a 15-minute walk, if that. Anywhere in Paris is easily accessible from the Metro, and the local station, Cité, is just a couple of blocks away. However, you could spend your entire stay exploring the Ile de la Cité and Ile St. Louis and have a fully satisfying Parisian experience. In the interest of full disclosure, there is one downside outside the control of the owners. The price one pays for such a great location is the surrounding noise. It was constant. We were there on one hot and humid weekend, and young people were out in force on the river banks, happily celebrating the end of summer. Also, the police headquarters is on the island, so there were lots of sirens. Still, the sounds seemed to be part of the romantic ambience, so we were seldom bothered by it. And once the windows and the curtains were closed, we couldn't hear a thing. And the view!!! The Seine is so close you can practically touch it. I will always remember watching the river traffic just before dawn. It was absolutely magical. My husband and I have already recommended this property to another couple who are going to Paris next year. Marie-Christine and Marc's apartment is definitely worthy of five stars.

The location of this studio apartment is wonderful. We could walk to so many things. Notre Dame and San Chapelle were only a few blocks away and it was close to the metro and autobus. Looking out on the Seine from our apartment was quite a sight. Looking out at night was magical with all the lights on the boats and the Hotel de ville across the river all lit up. One of our favorite things was the pedestrian bridge at the end of the block which led to Ile St Louis. We would stand there in the evenings, looking at the river and listening to a musician playing either the violin or accordian, and one night a piano was out there! Such ambience! We found that Ile St. Louis had many wonderful restaurants and great ice cream (worth the wait in line). The studio was very clean and neat. It actually had a washer/dryer all in one unit which we did not use, but could have come in handy if needed. The fact that there was an expresso machine for early morning coffee and a refrigerator for our wine and cheese for an early evening appetizer before dinner was so wonderful. It had a full kitchen which would be great if you were staying for any length of time. The Murphy bed was motorized and very easy to use and the mattress was very comfortable. We felt like real Parisians living in the city instead of Americans staying in an American hotel. I would definitely recommend this apartment. We hope to return to Paris someday and this is where I would want to stay. Marc and Marie-Christine were wonderful hosts. They spoke perfect English and were very prompt answering our e-mails before we came. There are plenty of guide books in the apartment to help with ideas of what to do.

What a special place to celebrate our 40th Anniversary!! The location is fabulous -the views of the Seine amazing and the studio itself has everything you could possibly need(it was very clean and had all the amenities you could want)!! It was far better than staying in a hotel. Marc and Marie Christine were perfect hosts, answering all our pre trip questions quickly and patiently and accessible if needed during our stay. It was wonderful to be within walking distance of so many sights. We decided to use the bato bus( a hop on hop off boat!)to take in all the sights. It was so relaxing cruising along the Seine to get to the museums and the Eiffel Tower. Paris is truly a City of Light and it was so much fun living like a local for a week in such a terrific location! Thank you so much Marc and Marie Christine for providing a lovely home for our romantic " honeymoon"!

We spent 9 nights in mid-June in this wonderful apartment. The location could not be more central to all the places that a visitor to Paris wants to go -- the Louvre, St Germain des Pres, the Marais, Ile St Louis. . . yet is very quiet. Though it's not huge, the apartment has everything that we needed - a comfortable bed, efficient kitchen, nice shower, washer/dryer, and an elevator for the mobility-impaired. But what makes this apartment so very special is the incredible view of the Seine. We'd return to the apartment after a day of sightseeing and relax by watching the boats on the Seine. Priceless! The owners are great people to deal with and were quick to respond to every e-mail that I sent before and during our visit. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Paris!

My wife and I have travelled to France numerous times and always begin our trips with several days in Paris. Previously we have rented an apartment one block from Notre Dame each time we visited. This year it was not available and we feel so fortunate to have discovered Marie Chritine and Marc's ever so special apartment overlloking the Seine and the Hotel de Ville...only two blocks from Notre Dame. It was the perfect location, condition and had the best view imaginable. And Marie Christine and Marc were the pefect hosts, meeting us at the apartment and assuring that everything was provided for. We have recommended the apartment to several of our friends already in the States and we will assuredly plan to stay there ourselves the next time we visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon in this lovely studio overlooking the Seine. The location is superb, and the view alone makes for a wonderful Paris experience. The apartment is neat as a pin and very well supplied - coffee, fans, guidebooks - you name it. We particularly appreciated Marc's handwritten (and drawn) local area guide. The free phone service to the U.S. was a welcome bonus. The bed is quite comfortable, and the building itself is quiet - we almost never heard any neighbors. There are highly rated, reasonably priced restaurants within a block, especially Au Bougnant and the combination wine cellar/restaurant. Ile St Louis is within a stone's throw across the bridge, and there is a good grocery store along with numerous restaurants, shops, Berthillon, etc. The owners could not be more helpful and engaging. That alone is one important reason we would strongly recommend this apartment to a friend or relative.

This studio was exactly what we expected based on the information provided - and more! It is perfectly suited for two guests with ample amenities and space. We stayed for 10 days and had dinner in most evenings - everything we needed was provided - except the food, which was found in fine supply in the local markets and the few near-by farmer's markets (great fresh produce!). Bed was comfy, views were the best, plenty of closet space and considering that you are in the heart of one of the most vibrant cities on earth, the studio was quiet. We set out each day on a new walking tour and one really fun bicycle tour and came home happily exhausted each evening to our perfect little perch on the Seine. We have stayed in VRBO properties in many locales over the last number of years and never have we ever had such a wonderful experience with hosts as we have with Marc (whom we now refer to as ‘Saint Marc’ and charming, Marie-Christine. Their patience and warmth were so deeply appreciated but paled in comparison to their compassionate generosity shown on our last day when we faced a real travel dilemma (note to visitors, pay attention to those announcements in the closely located Metro and RER stations!). Equal to the memories of thrilling sites, flavors, beautiful architecture, charming neighborhoods, will be the experiences with Marc and Marie-Christine. Our hands-down #1 recommendation is a concert at Sainte Chappelle. We heard a lush recital of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as the sun set through the brilliant windows of the chapel – divine!

Thank you so much for having space for me in April! I had such a wonderful time in Paris and it all started at your place. Nicolas was there to meet me, answer all my questions, and point out all the sites close to home. Steps from the Notre Dame, the peaks of the Hôtel de Ville, Le Marais district to the north, and to the south, just a short walk to the bustling Latin Quarter and Boulevard Saint Germain. To the east, the Île de Saint Louis. A wonderful Parisian shopping experience with its patisserie’s, boulangerie’s, chocholate shops and restaurants. (I also had the most amazing ice cream at Berthillion!)To the west, the Louvre, so close. Nothing compares to the evening stroll on the many bridges of the river in the “City of Lights”! The next morning, even though it was still a bit cool , I could not resist throwing open the French windows, and admiring the view of the Seine. It looks like a postcard! It is what I had always dreamed that a Paris experience would be like. I cannot wait to return. If you are thinking of booking: Marc, Marie Christine and Nicholas were so friendly and accommodating that I felt very welcome from the first email I received from them. The apartment was the perfect size for one or two, with a very romantic view. Enough closet space to hang a few clothes and shelves for the rest. The quaint kitchen area had all the amenities you would need to create a meal. The bathroom had a shower large enough to move in (this was not the case in all the places I stayed in Paris!) Internet connection, television (even a few English stations), the small lift, and an international phone plan were all welcome. There is a nice selection of books on Paris, the South of France and tourist information. As well, a book of restaurants, and suggestions from other guests- very handy. Also, a metro station right on the Island, and many others close at hand. The apartment is very clean an comfortable (also, not always the case in Paris!) Truly , a well designed space in the heart of Paris.

The location and view from this apartment couldn't be better, and the owners do an incredible job of fitting everything one could need into a small space. The owners are charming and incredibly helpful--they even went to the town hall to answer one of our questions about the bike rentals! The neighborhood and building feel very safe, and, although we were in a central location, the apartment is very quiet at night. I highly recommend this beautiful studio.

We had the pleasure of spending almost a week renting this lovely little apartment in Paris. We arrived at CDG Airport mid-morning, took the train into City and easily found the apartment on Isle de la Cité by noon. ‘Cute little place’… Yes while it was quite small by our American standards, it had everything we needed and was very very charming indeed. It was in an absolutley SUPER location, with amazing views out over the Seine and Hotel de Ville. The apartment was well equipped and our hosts were very responsive and amiable. While this was not my first trip to Paris, it was the first time I’d rented an apartment there. It was a very convenient home base, central and close to several Metro stops. Not to be missed: We quickly fell into an evening ritual of stopping at Berthillon on Isle St. Louis for some of their superb glacée (ice cream). Great collection of Paris guide books. The pictures on their website were an accurate representation of the apartment. Cheers, Joanne and Jonathan

It's the changing elements of the view that keep coming back to me. The river traffic, People walking past. Runners. Cars on the opposite bank. Its quiet though, peaceful inside. The warm, friendly, generous and organized Host. A comfortable, romantic place, walk to attractions or Metro/RER its all here. The studio has all you need, its well maintained and equiped and has lots of information to help make your visit enjoyable. I recommend the little box of cards with 50 Paris walks. You have to stay here...

What a wonderful and romantic apartment for 2! We will recommend it to all our friends, and we'll be back there when we visit Paris again. The apartment is small, but the space is utilised exceptionally well, and if one is out and about most of the day, it is perfect. Big cupboard for clothing; modern appliances in kitchenette area; bathroom with big shower and good water pressure. The Murphy bed is easy to operate, and comfortable. High quality duvet and bed linen, that looks brand new. The apartment was spotless on arrival, and everything in working order. Marie-Christine was a wonderful host. She always replied to emails within a few hours, and was very accommodating on our departure time, as our flight from Paris was only very late at night. The building hosts mostly permanent residents, and is very secure and quiet. Double glazed windows also warrants almost complete silence from any street noise, even though it is a very quiet and safe neighbourhood. The apartment is walking distance from a lot of sights, and for more distant sightseeing, there are Metro stations very close by. We arrived by Taxi, but used the Paris RER (express train) to the airport (CDG), with the station only a few blocks from the apartment. Thank you, Marie-Christine, for an unforgettable week in Paris! We had the most amazing time ever, and our perfect accommodation contributed a lot to the overall enjoyment of our holiday.

Dear Marie-Christine and Marc, We are both pleased with the warm welcome from Marc who shared all the info we needed and answered all our other questions. The apartment is warm and cozy with all the basic necessities available. I stayed for an extra two days and felt safe and secure. The location is ideal - the proximity of the Notre Dame de Paris (I went for daily mass at 9am towards the back of the altar; it was such a small group that it felt like a private service) and other places of interests. The view of the Seine is remarkable in the winter morning. When we plan our summer, we'll have you in mind! Valérie

Spent a special birthday week in Paris with my husband at this marvelous apartment! The view is amazing and the decor very charming. The apartment is small but very efficiently designed and the kitchen is a big plus. We made breakfast every morning and made good use of the fridge for keeping our wine chilled. The bed was a bit firm for my husband who has a bad back but I thought it was very comfortable. Since it is an efficiency, the fridge is very close to the bed and if you are a light sleeper you might hear the noise of it going off and on. The shower has great water pressure and there is plenty of space for toiletries and such in the bathroom. This is the best location in Paris as you are at the center of the city equal distance form the right and left banks. It is so central that we did not even use the metro until our 4th day in the city. I would recommend this apartment to my friends and would be very happy to stay here again when we are fortunate enough to return to Paris.

This little apartment was our home away from home...it is beautiful - not furnished at IKEA! Lovely antiques mix with quality furnishings, granite, and plaster walls with 18th century beamed ceilings with a view over the Seine to the city hall which is housed in a 17th century building. Plus Marc and Marie Christine Vassiliadis are great! They were there to welcome us and show us how everything worked and then there at the end to make sure we got to the airport alright. They were so helpful, always a phone call away, but never intrusive. The location is the best! Most historic sights are in walking distance or a short cab ride away. The Il de la cite- where this flat is located - is the small islandin the Seine on which the city of Paris began! I couldn't have found a better spot or more welcoming hosts! Plus...if you need it, the building has an elevator. FYI: The photos are accurate, maybe make it look larger than it is, but it was fine, plus the bathroom was very nice with a big shower.

We stayed at this apartment for a week-too short. It was a spectacular location,Most of paris that we wanted to see was in walking distance, and there was a close underground for the more distant trips. The apartment was as described, clean and functional, and comfortable, with all the necessary equipment-with a good view over the Seine to the Hotel de Ville, and to the Isle de St Louis.Good walking distance to good restaurants also.Quiet at night after the tourist boats stopped(not a worry to us). The owner was very helpful, and communication with the booking was just excellent-very reassuring when travelling from the other side of the world. We want to go back and stay longer, and have been recommending it to all our friends.

My husband and I rented this apt. for 2 weeks in June. I cannot say enough about it and have recommended it several times! We will be back! Its great for 2 people. The view is priceless and location is very convenient! It was my husbands 1st time in Paris and what a way to experience it. Our hosts were great too - very attentive, nice and cared very much for this apt and our good time ;-) The bed is very comfortable and we were worried about that - it exceeded our expectations and the kitchen was wonderful too - everything you need to have morning coffee and eat a meal or two after visiting the market. Watching the boats go by the apt. at night was incredible. One thing to be aware of is, if you stay here, is that the noise to the apt below when you walk in your shoes in the apt. caused some distress to our neighbors, who came up 2 times and got mad at us on our first day there (uncalled for really); the rest of the time we had to tip-toe around... its an old building with charm and an apt. that is rented so I am not sure why its not expected that there will be some noise. Plus, when your in paris your hardly in the apt, so the noise has to be minimal. We had a great time! Susan & Glenn

This studio apartment is simply the best in every regard: best views & the best location for short or long term stays. It is secure, immaculately maintained & despite or perhaps because of it's compact size it is very well appointed. As well, it is very tastefully & comfortably decorated. My final commendation is for the generosity of the owners, who both speak English & who reassuringly, from the background offer their availability should needs be. From our first stay to the last it has not failed to meet our expectations & thus will always be our preferred accommodation in Paris.

We had the opportunity to stay in this amazing apartment for our Honeymoon in late January! It was better than expected and the pictures on the site (as good as they are) do not do this place justice. We wanted to live like Parisians while we were there and this was a great place to do it. The Homeowners were fantastic, greeting us with Champagne on arrival. They spent time going over everything the apartment had to offer and made sure we were set for our vacation. What a nice welcome! As for the apartment, it is small but very cozy. The view is terrific. Every day we would get up early to enjoy it with a coffee and some fresh French pastries, before heading out to explore Paris. As a Canadian, the sight of an outdoor ice rink across the Seine at the Hotel de Ville was impossible to resist! The Louvre is only a 5 minute stroll away. The Notre Dame is literally behind the apartment. And our favourite place to visit was Ile St-Louis, a two minute walk to our favourite restaurants on the narrow cobblestone streets! Every afternoon we would escape back to the apartment to enjoy some wine and cheese as the the sun set on the Seine and the river boats would pass by. A perfect place in a perfect city. We definitely will be back. Thanks Marie-Christine!

Could there be anything more romantic than an apartment in Paris with a view of the Seine? We enjoyed this compact but comfortable apartment for almost a month last Spring. We loved the wood floors, the decor, the cushy bed, the efficient kitchen and large-for-Paris bathroom, and of course the view. The kitchen was well-equipped and shopping was nearby. The murphy bed is easy to raise and lower via remote control and extremely comfortable. Though the apartment is not large, it was fine for the two of us even with the bed left down most of the time. We shopped nearby street markets and ate at the wonderful nearby cafes and restaurants for lunches and cooked most evenings. The location is convenient to metros and a quick walk to some of our favorite areas: the Marais, St Germaine, Mouffetard and Bastille. It's around the corner from Notre Dame and we loved the little parks near the church and the markets at Place Maubert, Place Monge and Richard Lenoir. We probably would have explored even more if the view from our window hadn't been so seductive. Marie Christine and her family were easy to deal with, both in advance of our arrival and once we were there, and took care of our only hiccup (the malfunctioning dryer portion of the combo washer/dryer) quickly. We would happily visit our little cocoon by the river again and recommend it heartily.

The hosts (Marc and Marie-Christine) were very gracious and met us on time at the apartment and checked in with us to see how we were doing along the way. They also left us some nice treats that were very tasty :) Thanks! We loved this little studio- very comfortable and one amazing view! Lots of helpful advice from hosts re: dining and sights. I cannot repeat this enough: AMAZING view- right on the Seine, and completely easy to reach from the Metro. We came from the train station and we never needed a cab. We walked past Notre Dame every day and I cannot relay what an awesome feeling that was on a daily basis. We only had one problem, which hopefully you won't even encounter. We lost our luggage. When the airline tried to deliver to the studio there isn't a call button from the street or a way to get a hold of anyone in the apartment w/o already knowing a code. So we ended up having to drive to the airport to get the luggage. So as long as you aren't expecting any deliveries- you should be in heaven! I'd love to come back someday!

"My husband and I spent 5 nights in this wonderful apt during December. It was our first trip to Paris and we could not have chosen better accommodations! From the moment we inquired online to bidding the owners, Marc & Marie-Christine, good-bye on Christmas Day our experience was first class. All of the rental details were handled promptly and professionally. The owners were there to greet us when we arrived and could not have been more friendly and helpful! They have thought of every little detail to make this apt a "home away from home!" The studio itself is absolutely charming, well laid out, and perfectly functional for 2 people. The murphy bed is extremely comfortable! The linens & appliances are all high quality and in perfect condition. The bldg is extremely safe, as is the surrounding area. The view from the windows, of the Seine and the Hotel de Ville, is priceless! The location was very convenient to everything we wanted to see and do in Paris. We walked a lot but also used the Metro, located around the corner. We would absolutely recommend this rental to friends! Our only disappointment was having to leave Paris so soon! We are already making plans for a longer stay next time! "

We loved everything about Marc and Marie- Christine's historic apartment on the Seine! All the descriptions on VRBO and their website were spot on. The location could not have been better for our short first time visit to Paris. We were able to see many of the major sites on a lovely walk from the apartment to the Eiffel Tower. It was an easy bus ride back to Ile de la Cite. Shopping, restaurants and many major sites were literally around the corner. The apartment is located in a historic building(built in the 17th century!), yet it still has all the modern amenities anyone would want without losing any charm. We would recommend this apartment to any of our friends as much more private and charming than any hotel could be. We appreciate Marc and Marie-Christine so much for their gracious hospitality and hope to return to Paris again someday in the not too distant future.

We had a wonderful stay in late November. The apartment is perfectly romantic for 2 people. The location is ideal, steps away from ile del la st louis, Notre Dame, Hotel Deville, 2 batobus stops and 2 metro lines. This was our home away from home that made us feel like residents of the most beautiful city in the world. We enjoyed venturing out to the open air markets and then cooking in our kitchen. The bed was extremely comfortable. Marie Christine was a wonderful hostess and so helpful. Free calls back home were an added bonus as well as internet access to keep in touch with home. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this apartment to anyone that is looking for the perfect romantic get-away.

Hello all you international travelers. I just wanted to drop a quick line to thank Marie for the wonderful flat and service they provided upon our arrival. This was the first time we actually had visited Paris and we wanted the full experience. We decided to stay in the center of Paris close to transportation, views, river taxis, and close to surrounding neighborhoods. I could not speak more highly of the flat. It is an adorable two person flat that has everything you will need to make your Paris trip perfect. We had dinner a few nights with the windows open that overlooked the river. Not much more to say other than C'est magnifique ! Si je pouvais vivre ici je le ferais. Son dur à battre en Californie, mais Paris et à cet endroit et plat en ferait un Decsion dur.

Our stay in this apartment in September 2009 was fantastic. The apartment is located on a well-lit street on Ile de la Cite. The building is historic, which you can easily tell from the winding wooden stairs to the beams on the ceiling of the apartment. The apartment is up two flights of stairs, but there is an elevator should you need to use it. The inside of the apartment was perfect for us. It was exactly what I think a Parisian apartment should be - small and charming. It appears to have been recently renovated as the kitchen and bathroom are beautiful. The furnishing are very nice and just as the pictures depict. The bed is a murphy bed that is electronic so no heavy lifting. Once the bed is down, you wouldn't think it folds into the wall since it is so comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, cookware and a few staples (tea, coffee, bottled water, sugar, salt, etc.). I'd say you could easily cook dinner for two (possibly four) in this kitchen, but you'd be stretching it to cook for more than that. The pictures we saw online were entirely accurate. I believe the only difference is that there is a new comforter that is just as nice as the one shown online. As the pictures and description indicate, the apartment is small but bigger than a Parisian hotel room. We felt it was more than large enough for two people wanting to feel at home in a romantic pied-a- terre. The last item about this place that cannot go without mentioning are the owners - Marc & Marie-Christine. They made us feel right at home. Marc met us at the apartment early in the morning after our flight arrived and explained everything we needed to know. They also delivered some sweets and a bottle of wine to help us enjoy our stay. It made us feel right at home.

Both my boyfriend and I LOVED this apartment! We really can't say enough good things about it! We stayed for one week and we felt like we where really living in Paris! It's perfect for two people. The murphy bed is truly comfortable! We sleep in a queen size bed at home, but this full size bed did not feel small at all! The entire apartment is clean! We never once felt like we had to worry about anything being dirty...the towels, the linens, dishes...everything was perfect! The bathroom is spacious with plenty of storage space for your toiletries. The closet was also very spacious equipped with an iron and ironing board. The washer was also perfect...the clothes come out cleaner than at home and practically dry because european washers take longer to cycle and spin a lot faster than the US washers...it was like having a washer and dryer in one! The location and view are amazing! Overlooking the river and near two metro stops...we where truly near to everything! The next island over (one block away) has a little market where we would buy fruit and right accross there is a bakery where we would buy crossaints in the morning. After walking all over the city, we where convinced we had picked the right place to stay...still central to everything, but away from the busy tourist chaos...we felt like we where part of the city there and not travelers passing by. The owners are also sweet as can be! They are there to welcome you and to wish you a farewell...they had water and champagne at our arrival. Thank you Marie and Marc! Our transaction was smooth from beginning to end. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Paris! No doubts or hesitations :)

My husband and I just returned from Paris and this lovely studio "gem". Everything about our experience was perfect...especially the very kind attention we received from the owners, Marc and Marie-Christine. The location cannot be beat since there is nothing quite as magnificant as sipping wine in your own flat over-looking the Seine. The Metro, bus and RER (which runs directly to the airport from two blocks away) are all a short walk from your door and there are many good shops, markets and restaurants nearby in both The Marais and The Latin Quarter. The apartment is customarily small (it's Paris after all), but is well-appointed with A+ decor and everything you need to have an evening "in" after exploring Paris all day. Marc & Marie-Christine are a wealth of knowledge and went out of their way to meet us, gives us our Paris "bearings" and make us feel welcome. You can have your big hotels....we will definitely stay here again next year and we will probably never travel any other way than this!
