It is a very nice cabin and you can see the river from cabin's deck. We enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice if there was a dishwasher.

This cabin worked well for our group of two kids and two adults. It was located close to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park and close to the town of Estes Park too. The kids enjoyed sleeping in the bunk beds, and walking down to explore by the river.

This was the best cabin! Everything was so comfortable. The cabin had everything one could need for a great vacation. It was an ideal location and very clean. I would highly recommend this cabin. We even saw deer and 2 bears. I hope we get to return one day, and we will stay in this cabin again.

My husband and I recently stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The cabin was clean and very well stocked. I loved the location between the park and the town. We were glad to find a fan in the closet because it was a bit warmer than expected. However, it got quite cool at night. We enjoyed the sights of Rocky Mountain National Park and surrounding area. The aspens were gorgeous and the wildlife was entertaining. We loved walking down to the river, but we didn't spend much time there because the bears were active. Three restaurants we enjoyed were Sundeck(the best), Molly B's, and THe Egg and I. THis was our first experience with VRBO and I was quite pleased. I won't hesitate to use it again.

The cabin was just as pictured and clean. If you enjoy the Rocky Mountains you couldn't ask for a better location. We were in the park 5 out of the 6 days hiking. We didn't see any elk at the cabin but plenty of bunnies and ground squirrels. In the park we saw moose, herds of elk, marmot, pikas, ground squirrels and, of course, chipmunks. My only con would be that the cabin was very hot which is not the fault of Carolyn and Brian. I think we went the only week it was in the high 80s. We are from Texas and very much used to air conditioning which 95% of the shops and restaurants in town do not have. If you like BBQ, you should try Dave's BBQ which you can walk to and Mary's Lake Lodge and Tavern.

The cabin made a perfect base for when we weren't out hiking in the park or exploring the shops and eating in town. It was very well equipped and super clean. It was nice to be able to do breakfast at the cabin. The location is IDEAL being so close to town and the park. The owners were wonderful to work with.

My sister and I stayed at Long's Peak from June 25 - July 2, 2011. I have been visiting Estes Park each summer for the past 7 years, usually staying at different places, and this cabin was one of my favorite places to stay. It was charming, cozy, and I loved the pine furniture. The cabin was exactly as described (and pictured) and was very clean upon our arrival. I could hear the Big Thompson River from the master bedroom. I saw rabbits and chipmunks on the property. Brian and Carolyn were very pleasant to work with and I would certainly rent from them again. The location was perfect! Close enough to walk into Estes Park if you wanted exercise - maybe 15 minutes. Since I favor the hikes around Bear Lake and Glacier Gorge this was a great location to access those areas via the Beaver Meadow entrance. Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park are some of the most beautiful places in the United States and you can't go wrong making this cabin your homebase to explore both.

Our family of three stayed there a week and a half. We were quite comfortable in the cabin. There are several extra touches in the cabin to create the atmosphere of Colorado Cabin. The updated areas have been done well; the furniture is comfortable. I suggested to the owner that she consider a new range and she responded immediately that she would begin that process. There are even games and videos available for extra entertainment. The shower head looks old and unpromising, but it has great water pressure! The location was between town and the park so it was wonderful. We would recommend this property to others; it's a great value. Our favorite activities in Estes are driving through the park looking for wildlife and hiking lots of trails. We always eat at Poppys, The Egg and I, and Village Pizza.

Great 2-bedroom condo. It is located just a few miles from the south entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and walking distance to downtown Estes. I stayed there over memorial weekend and the owners' ad was perfectly accurate. The condo was clean and very comfortable. I had no problems whatsoever with the rental property and I would definietly go back. It is far enough from Estes that it was still quiet, but still near to restaurants, groceries, and the like.

The cabin was just great the way it is set up and the views are wonderful. We really enjoyed seeing the wild life that walked right in front of the deck and couldn't have asked for a better location, right in between the national park and downtown. The town is great to walk around and do some shopping. We can't wait to come back!

Pros- Our stay at the cabin was very nice. We enjoyed the beautiful view every time we got back to the cabin. The cabin was nice and cozy. We enjoyed having a nice, wood-burning fireplace in the living space to help keep us warm on the colder nights. The new sink in the bathroom and the new cabinets in the kitchen add a nice modern touch to the cabin. Made us feel more at home! Cons- We had to wash all the dishes before we used them. Several glasses had lip-stains around the rims, there were forks and knives with caked on bits of food, and some of the pans had similar issues. There was no organization to the dishes and everything was just haphazardly thrown in the cabinets. Made it difficult to find what we were looking for. We were also disappointed that the large pile of wood on the porch in the picture was not available for our convenience. We had to buy wood when we could have just brought some from home. Overall- We enjoyed our stay and we would recommend others to stay at this cabin. It is great for small families or for older couples. You can't beat the rates! (Just wash the dishes)
Owner response:We are sorry to hear Matthew's stay wasn't perfect. We will speak to our cleaning personnel about the dishes issue. Unfortunately we also wash all glasses and plates ourselves when we stay as a family because we aren't entirely sure on the ability of the previous guests to do the job that we would do. Given there is no dishwasher, it is an issue. Oftentimes, as is true with this guest, one set of guests check out and the next check in a few hours later so the cleaning personnel's main focus is on linens and overall cleaning and they don't wash the dishes if the guest has "washed" them already and put them away. So for future guests, please do check the dishes! As for the haphazardness of the dishes organization, completely understand. When our family stays, we know how we like it organized but as other guests come and go, they arrange differently and so on and so on. We'll try to let the cleaning personnel know what goes where (and maybe label the cabinets) so it can be consistent (hopefully!). Again, with so many guests coming and going, things get moved around a lot so we can't guarantee you won't occassionally find a bowl next to the cups. We do not provide wood and we're sorry if the image was deceiving. That images was from several winter's ago. We do let guests know we don't provide wood in our FAQs but not everybody reads those so we'll try to post it somewhere more clearly. We're sorry Matthew for the inconvenience!

We absolutely loved this cabin! It was the perfect size and had all the ammenities we needed (and more)! We used the fireplace and it was such a cozy feel! The kids loved the area and we took a ton of walks right around the cabin. The river was amazing, even half frozen it was still so beautiful. The location was ideal, close to town, yet felt very private. Thank you so much to the owners for being so easy to work with and so accommodating. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed a week and wanted to stay a month. The cabin and accomodations were cozy and quiet. The location was ideal for us because we hiked everyday in the RMNP but enjoyed Estes Park in the evening, Our very first morning, a bull elk walked within 5 feet of the front deck. That was a Kodak moment for us!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin.

My husband and I and our 4 children stayed in this cabin for a week in August 2010. It was very clean and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. I enjoyed reading on the deck in the morning with my cup of coffee. My boys enjoyed playing ball in the grassy lawn area and playing in the river. The location is great. It is about a mile from the downtown area where there are little shops and restaurants. In the other direction just two or three miles is Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Park is absolutely beautiful and there is so much to do. I enjoyed walking the 4 miles around Estes Park Lake while my husband and children were fishing. We went horseback riding and hiking in RMNP. We were delighted to find that there was a Senior rodeo at the fairgrounds while we were there. We all enjoyed seeing that.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay for a week at the end of April. The cabin was very comfortable, well equipped, and nicely decorated with a theme to reflect the mountainous environment. The location was perfect, not far from town, but removed enough to be relaxing. Having access to the Big Thompson River provided a nice little getaway from your party for quiet time, if needed, without doing more than walking a few steps. A visitation from a small herd of elk in the front yard, added to the charm. Both the Beaver Meadows and Falls River entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park were accessible in only a few minutes from the cabin, as was the town. Maps and literature were available in the cabin, making it possible to immediately locate any shopping or activity needs. I highly recommend this cabin, and it will be my first choice of accommodations when I return. The owners were helpful, pleasant, and interested in ensuring that our stay was the best possible. I give it an A+!

This cabin is lovely, and nicely decorated with Elks and Bears everywhere. Everything we needed was in the cabin. There is only one TV in the cabin, but we were not there to watch TV. We stayed right after Christmas 2008 for a weekend getaway. My two sons, ages 7 and 8, enjoyed sledding down to the river which is only a few feet away from the front door. My wife and I just returned from a 4 night stay in this cabin. We were very pleasently surprised with how clean and clozy the cabin was. Access to the cabin from downtown and from the park was a breeze. We could be at either place in less than a few minutes. The cabin was very cozy, and well decorated. Often times you find a beautiful cabin only to see it decorated in pastels and doylies (sp?) but this was definitely not the case. We had plenty of room and all the necessities to cook meals. The owners were very responsive and made suer we had everything we needed and geniunely wanted to know what they coudl do to make it better. Fortunately, we couldnt think of anything. The only draw back which wasnt a huge deal since we were both looking to escape our jobs for a while, is that there was not internet. Easy fix though by going to downtown and picking up a free Wifi. Overall, we had a great time, I highly recommend it.
