I wish we could have stayed longer! The Lodge was perfect. It's location is great: close to downtown Leavenworth but very removed. Black Forest Lodge has special soap made which smells super yummy-we got orange spice! The place has a very well stocked kitchen with every utensil you could possibly need. The pans, though teflon, are not scratched up at all. We'll be back for sure. Emily Iverson

I just wanted to say we had a great time at the lodge over the weekend. The kids loved all the games and we loved the space and all the other amenities. It was such a nice place to get away to. I will be leaving a review on our stay soon, but wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully the cleaners found everything in order when they arrived.

We had a GREAT time this weekend and loved the house! The christmas tree was great, we have yet to get one at home... We also loved the sledding hill, my 1 year old was so excited to go on his first sled ride. He was also pretty upset when we picked him up to go. Anyhow, thank you so much!

We had such a wonderful time and so enjoyed the many comforts of BFL. I enjoyed one of the best nights of sleep I have had in a while because of the comfy bed and quiet surroundings. The kids loved “their room” and game table and we found everything we need to cook up some wonderful meals. We were a little sad that we didn’t get have a “snowy getaway” but we made the best of it! Tom and his snowmobile crew were wonderful and have offered us a free day in the future! Thank you again for your wonderful home! Happy Holidays! Amy P.S. We had a great time and a very enjoyable stay. The accommodations were wonderful. We also used the grill every night so the tank could be low. We arrived after dark on Saturday due to being held up in Minneapolis-St. Paul airport due to the President being there. The lock box was a bit of a trick in the dark. We did have a great time at your home. Thanks so much for coordinating so quickly last week! Your place is so wonderful and it was such a nice treat to have so many kid things there. The highchair, pack and play and games were wonderful to have around. Oh, and my 18 month old daughter was obsessed with the cuckoo clock. That was a big hit! What a nice little community over there! We spent a lot of time at the park and also on the sandy beach down at the river. Thanks for letting me know about the chairs in the shed - we took those with us to the beach as you suggested and it worked out well, especially since one of our friends is on crutches. Anyways, we had a fantastic time and thank you again for letting us rent your place! Julie

We had a wonderful time and you have a beautiful home. Thank you for sharing it. It's so clean, organized and cozy....it was perfect for my family and I. We cooked and ate entirely too much and spent our days tubing down the river for hours. It was a nice and relaxing time for us. I loved that I didn't have cell phone reception!!!! We had two families staying in this wonderful home and had the best vacation ever! Everything was set up perfectly, the home is very well stocked. The woods are beautiful, the home is lovely, and Leavenworth is great fun. We even went tubing on the Icicle River and had a wonderful time. We are already planning our next trip!

We had a great time! The house was very well equipped with everything we needed (and then some!) Our kids had a blast and loved the bunk bed room. You guys have done a great job and really have thought of everything to make a family feel like it's a "home away from home". We really appreciate you allowing us to come and stay on such short notice. I was especially pleased with how clean the house was. Wow Ann, Your place is so lovely! We really enjoyed ourselves and were surprised by how nice the accommodations were. We especially liked how the table folded out and that you had extra chairs so that all 8 of us could sit around to play games and eat dinner together. All the beds were very comfortable. You had nice dishes, fun pictures on the walls, and very comfortable beds and furniture. We love your place. We also liked the storage shed’s name – Belly Acres! Ha! Ha! Ha! Thank you very, very, much. We would like very much to visit again.

We had a wonderful time at the lodge. We were amazed at how nice it was, especially the carpet since this is what makes the house either look nice and cozy or worn and dirty. My daughter loved it so much that she did not want to go home, we will definetely come back again.

We had a great time. Thanks so much. We found everything we needed. The sleds worked great on the little hill in downtown Leavenworth and the house was very comfy. Love your dishes there - very pretty, and so nice to have matching sets! And the plasticware was perfect for the kiddos.

Hi there Ann - We just got back this evening and wanted to tell you thanks again - the house turned out perfect for us. At first we were a little surprise by how long it took us to get there from downtown Leavenworth - (with two kids in the car after a long road trip - we were ready to be there by the time we got to Leavenworth) other then the curvy roads (which were very scenic in the daylight) we loved it. You have done a great job making it feel at home for your guests. Everything was wonderful - just enough direction to make sure we enjoyed the stay and not so much that we felt like we had a "rule-book" to live by! Thanks again, Jennifer

We had a fantastc stay. We are all talking about coming back in the summer to do white water rafting and hiking. So, don't be surprised if you hear from us again. Oh, if you could get the powers that be to put a "Stirrup Street" sign at the first turn onto Stirrup, maybe right in that center divider, it would certainly help. We did not know we were on Stirrup for a pretty good distance and the others missed it too. It is a wonderful place, very welcoming and comfortable. Thanks again.

Comment Text: Everything was fantastic. Downstairs was extremely comfortable and cozy for relaxing and taking in a movie. The bedrooms were great , too. We had perfect weather and enjoyed ourselves immensely.

The movies were fun. Our family had the bunk bed room which was amazing for our 3-year old. He slept on the bottom bunk, with dad above him. And all of us commented on the flannel sheets and comfortable bedding. Soft, soft. Yes, thanks again. We'd give you a 5-star review.
