This lovely modern home is a combination of Hawaii and the owner's southern hospitality and can be rented as a four or six bedroom. The addition of the two bedroom one bath upstairs unit increases the capacity to sleep 15 (see VRBO property #71698)!

We rented this house for a 'girls getaway' and it was perfect. It is on a quiet street, walking distance to the beach (where we spotted a random 'boot camp' class and joined in). The ocean nearby is a little rough for young kids, but was fine for us and close to lots of surfing lessons if you are interested in partaking. You definitely need a car - but nothing is too far and there is a cute little cafe/beach shack that is walking distance as well for coffee and snacks. The house also had full laundry and bikes etc. so we really had everything that we needed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends (and I have!)
Recommended for:Age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Eleven of my friends from Toronto and myself from Vancouver stayed at this lovely house for 2 weeks end of June-early July 2011 and we all was very impressed with the house. It had all the things that are needed for a big group, very spacious and comfortable living. The neigbours were lovely too,even had a few of them over for drinks a few times. The location is excellent for only a few mins walk to the beach, which most of the time we had nearly all to ourselves, cant get much better than that.... Obviously you will need a car to get around here, but only takes 5-10mins drive to get to the supermarket or if you want abit of luxury to get to Turtle Bay resort hotel which is gorgeous with all the things you expect from a 5*Hotel.the added bonus of going there to eat or drink we found it to be quite inexpensive for the exellent food and coctails that they serve.Obviously you have to see the reat of the island and although Honalulu and Waikiki is great it was always a pleasure to go back to our short term home in the beautiful North Shore. Would defo go back to this house and have already recommended it to many friends. Although the furnishings are abit dated so dont expect state of the art interiors, I think it adds more to the charm of this lovely home. The only thing I would suggest to the owner if there was away of putting in a phone for local calls that would be a good thing.for emergencies, maybe a payphone would be possible.?

I rented the house for a family Christmas vaction. There were 14 people there ranging in age from 20 - 85. The house was great - large and spacious and easily accomodated everyone. We were able to cook most meals in the nicely appointed, large kitchen. It was so nice to have separate quarters upstairs for several couples to relax and get away from some of the noise and confusion! The beach was just a few minutes walk and was enjoyed by all. We enjoyed having bikes and the pool table at the house and used them on a daily basis. All in all, a great time was had by all. The property was clean and had all the amenities we needed. I would definitely recommend renting this house - the price and location can't be beat!

Located in a friendly cul de sac, this beach house was great for our family reunion. We had 14 people (adults & teens) and had plenty of room. All the neighbors were friendly and helpful when we had questions. The beach is only a few steps away and there were snorkels and boogie boards for the kids to enjoy. Will definitely be a return customer!
