Why the Owner Chose Cedar Ridge
In between both mountains: we ski down to BOTH gondolas!! The Whistler-Blackcomb mountains never end-the #1 resort in North America 13 years in a row. 2010 Olympics! A World class Village with top gourmet restaurants as well as casual beer and sandwiches.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet
TRUE Ski-in-Ski-out, 20 yards to Village Run, then a 300 yard ski down or walk down to Skier's Plaza and the Village. Ski to BOTH Gondolas or walk to dinner. Completely remodeled, all Granite and Stainless. Just feel the heated stone floor under your feet. Cedar Ridge is a sought-after complex right on the piste and just above Whistler Village. Whilst most ski-in ski-out homes in Whistler offer access either to the Blackcomb Base (giving direct access only to Blackcomb) or the Creekside gondola (giving direct access only to Whistler), the trail from Cedar Ridge leads down to the Skier's Plaza at the top of the Village, uniquely giving access to either Whistler or Blackcomb mountains.
Put on skis at corner of garage. Now that the ski access has been excavated, it is only a 20 yard walk in boots.

What else could you want? With heated floors, individual thermostats in each room, including the baths, ski-in/ski-out, renovated with all modern appliances/fixtures, huge ski boot dryer, very private deck and hot tub, excellent maintenance and cleaning, and more, it was a wonderful week. The village is just a short walk, drive, or ski, so all amenities are very close. I would recommend this property to anyone.

First and foremost, I have to say that this chalet is in the perfect location. There are very few properties that can come close to matching it accessibility to the slopes, both mountains and to the Village. I was lucky enough to be one of the first guests to stay there after the complete renovation completed in Nov. of 2011. The owners did a fantastic job of making the place both luxurious and comfortable. After a long day of skiing, it was great to come home and relax. All of the bathrooms are great with high-end finishes, and you have hot water as soon as you turn on the faucet (I think they have a system where the hot water circulates continuously through the house). We all enjoyed fixing dinner in the beautiful kitchen and gathering around the fireplace to enjoy a glass of wine. I especially enjoyed ending the night relaxing in the Jacuzzi on the back deck. I do not know how many jets this Jacuzzi has, but there are a lot of them and they had plenty of water pressure to massage and relax my sore muscles. Here’s a hint: the seat in the corner closest to the door is great for the back and shoulders while the one in the opposite corner focus on your calves. The location, luxury and comfort of this place makes it a perfect place to stay when vacationing in Whistler.

We had a great first time VRBO experience. Our experience started off with warm, comfortable and easy correspondence between the owners and ourselves. This hospitality continued from pre-arrival to departure. This home is nicely designed & modern, and accommodated our 9 adults comfortably. There is a large flat screen TV/ audio system in the living room with a real wood-burning fireplace. The firewood is already chopped and stockpiled in the garage. The kitchen, with updated appliances, is huge for a reason. We spent much of our time socializing between the kitchen & dining area. The hot tub on the deck was put to good use also. Another important amenity is the full-size front-load washer and dryer. This home is ski in/ ski out. It was great to ski and snowboard down to the gondolas instead of walking uphill on the Village Stroll with our gear every morning. We had no car, but it's an easy walk down to & up from the village. We also used the Excalibur Gondola & an easy downhill walk to return home. Gondola is open till at least 8pm so there is lots of time to spend in the village. We would definitely book this home again on our future vacations to Whistler.

Can't beat this Whistler Chalet for true ski in/out luxury accommodations. It made a huge difference in the enjoyment of our ski vacation to be able to just grab our skis, walk out the door, and be on the mountain. It was also great just to be able to walk to the Village. Especially since parking is difficult in the Village, it was nice not to have to use a car all the time. The chalet itself is very roomy and obviously recently updated. The slate floors are heated in the main floor and the kitchen is huge. We also loved the fireplace and the modern hot tub. Can't say enough about this place - we will definitely return and recommend to our friends.

The perfect place to stay in Whistler! Cedar Ridge 18 is a fabulous ski-in / ski-out, making it so convenient for getting on the slopes quickly and home without a hassle. Quiet, comfortable first-class accommodations with a chef's kitchen and heated floors - we felt right at home. It is a perfect party place. Can't wait to come back;)

We had a great experience at Cedar Ridge 18. The unit was freshly remodeled with great stone work and modern appliances. The main living area and hot tub was a hit with our group... I think we spent more time there than the Village! The owners were super nice and accommodating. I'd highly recommend Cedar Ridge 18!

Nothing beats Cedar Ridge 18 for first-class, true ski-in and ski-out accommodations! The owners have done a magnificent job in the recently renovated living room, kitchen, dining and bathroom area. The kitchen is large and airy with state of the art appliances and beautiful granite tops overlooking the dining area with adjoining private hot tub on outdoor patio. The flooring throughout the main level is heated slate floors! A real treat for us Floridians. And the main level bathroom also has heated floors and a full shower. The lower level has three bedrooms with plenty of closet space and a large bath. The upstairs master bedroom is beautiful with its own private outdoor patio, and a loft effect over the living room with fireplace. And of course, most important, the location of Cedar Ridge 18 could not be more convenient! A short path through the back-yard area and you are directly on the slopes! In the evening, we enjoyed walking down the slope the short distance to the Village. Whistler by far has the most interesting and varied of ski terrains, and one of the best ski resort villages. We have traveled extensively on ski vacations and Whistler is definitely one of our favorite destinations. The combination of a great ski venue and a great place to stay at Cedar Ridge 18 can't be beat!

Loved Whistler. Snowed every day we were there. Great skiing. Was here 20 years ago, wow how things have grown. Everyone getting ready for the Olympics in 2010. You can ski the Olympic Men’s & Women’s downhill (Dave Murray Downhill, Wild Card & Franz’s Runs). Cedar Ridge 18 is an excellent location. The townhouse is next to the Village Run with ski down access to both Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas and the choice of skiing either mountain. Cedar Ridge 18 is close enough to walk down the slope to the village for dinner or shopping and back up to the Cedar Ridge complex. Reasonable taxi service available for those who want to ride. After skiing on top of the mountain at 7th Heaven, at end of day you can ski down to Village Run on the Blackcomb side to the path leading to Cedar Ridge 18, how easier could it get. There is a stack of wood for the living room fireplace, boot dryers and ski racks located in the garage. The heated stone floor was heaven to my bare feet after slipping off my cold ski boots. Pour a glass of wine from the built-in wine cooler. Grab some munchies. Jump in the hot tub on the deck. Cook up some steaks on the outside grill or fix a meal in the newly remodeled gourmet kitchen. Curl up on the living room sofa and watch your favorite movie on the DVD and 42” Phillips flat panel TV. Couldn’t get much better than that. Our group from Pittsburgh found Cedar Ridge 18 hard to beat for convenience, great location and amenities. Thanks Sabina.
