This property is located at SC Route 544 and Business Highway 17. Located near the South gate of Ocean Lakes for easy access. Only a short 2-3 minute golf cart or bike ride to the beach.
Bed/Baths: Sleeps seven people - two queen beds and a futon with a full size bed and a single bunk.
Kitchen/Dining: The fully equipped kitchen offers a refrigerator with ice maker, microwave mounted above the stove and a dishwasher. Cookware, silverware and dishes to serve eight. The washer/dryer is located off the hallway. You will need to bring your linens (sheets, towels, etc) bath soap, detergents and paper products.
Upon arrival, you will need to register your vehicle with the Ocean Lakes office and pay a $5/day parking pass fee directly to Ocean lakes.
Cleaning/Rules: Cleaning products are provided for you to clean at departure. Or, we have a cleaning service available for an additional charge of $150.00. Please let us know at the time of your reservation if you would like to have the cleaning service as this must be scheduled in advance. If you choose to clean the home yourself and the unit is not cleaned upon departure, a portion of your deposit will be withheld to pay for a cleaning service after the fact ($135.00).

- Ocean Lakes is everything you could ask for in a family vacation. Our home is only 2-3 minutes from the beach. It is a gated community with 24 hour security. The recreation area has an Olympic-size outdoor pool, an indoor heated pool, a kiddie water play area with fountains and mounted squirt guns, two playgrounds, putt-putt golf, a skate board area, basketball courts, horse shoes, shuffleboard, and snack shops. Free WiFi is available on the campground and golf carts are available for rent at the campground golf store. There is a huge recreation building where you and the children can enjoy crafts, bingo and a game room. Each Sunday there is a church service in the recreation hall. You can get free safety ID bands for your children. There is a nature center for you to visit. There is a grocery store and a gift shop for your last minute needs.

Year Purchased: 2006
Marvin and I live in Ocean Lakes. Marvin is retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and I am retired from the US Postal Service. Marvin and I enjoy walking, going to the beach, riding our golf cart and enjoying the grandchildren. We have upgraded our beach house to make our guests more comfortable during their visits. We have repeat guests from year to year and we think you would enjoy staying in our beach house.
Why the Owner Chose South Side 1800
We've vacationed at the Ocean Lakes Family Campground since 1999. First in a Motorhome and then by renting houses on the campground. We fell in love with the family atmosphere and decided to buy a vacation home for ourselves in 2006. Our children and grandchildren love the camground because there are so many, many activities for them to participate in. Ocean Lakes is a safe place for children to enjoy some freedom. Besides our rental house we are building a second house at Ocean Lakes Campground and will make this second house our permanent home in May 2011.

Friendly people from all across the US and Canada plus the friendliness of the permanent residents and the employees make Ocean Lakes Family Campground a wonderful place to vacation with family and friends. The golf cart ride to the ocean is such a wonderful experience. From our home you can walk to the ocean in approximately five minutes or ride a bike or golf cart in two - three.

We stayed in this house for winter of 2009 & winter 2010. This house is just exscellent and clean.Marv and Sandy are honest and very friendly to deal with. We would highly recommend this place.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

The home is beautiful. You can tell that the owners stay there often, due to the amunt of detail in the home. A wonderfully hand painted mural in the living room. Outside showers are an added benefit, to get the salt and sand off of you. Large area for parking, underneath. Nice roomy, front deck for early morning coffee breaks. Very clean! I would highly recommend.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers.
