Map & Owner's Profile

Why the Owner Chose Huron Heights
Breckenridge is a place with amazing choices in skiing, but it still retains the charm of the old mining days. We believe it is the best ski resort in all of North America. When we found this lot in 2000, we knew we'd found the ideal place to build a comfortable home with incredible views. It is so close to town and yet offers an incredible solitude for the times you just want to escape the madding crowd!
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love the views and sense of spacious openness. The house offers light, sunshine and warmth on cold winter days and in warmer months we have a wealth of outdoor adventure just outside our doorstep. The wildlife (including red-tailed foxes, deer, birds, etc...) is a source of entertainment and we have friendly, quiet neighbors. This home is better equipped than our primary home because we want to ensure a great experience to our guests. We love being here and hope our guests will too.
Owner's Map of Huron Heights
I grew up in Colorado and spent my youth skiing in Breckenridge when it was just a small resort with one mountain. My husband (native of Hawaii) and I met while at Western State College in Gunnison Colorado. We've been married for 29 years, have two grown sons and know we are very lucky to finally have a beautiful retreat in Breckenridge. We visit 3 times a year for at least 2-3 weeks, which ensures that our house is very clean and well-maintained so that our guests will have a quality experience here.

We had a wonderful time at this superb house looking over Breckenridge. The views are fantastic and the rooms well decorated. Our grown children and their own families are planning on staying at this house on their next visit to Colorado.

Adding another 5 star review to this wonderful property and excellent host. With a daughter in Denver, one in Birmingham, AL and us in CT, we wanted a place that we could all enjoy a late Christmas getaway. The home had SPECTACULAR views of the mountains and we thoroughly enjoyed the well equipped home. Great master shower, wonderful radiant floors and comfy beds. It was so easy to get to town. Buff is very good about communicating with you. Great hot tub although the winds were a bit too much for me brave outside. Lots of storage areas for winter gear, and it was very clean. Will certainly revisit in the future.
Owner response:We greatly appreciate the time and effort our guests take in writing reviews to help us as well as future guests. It is always a pleasure to hear that our guests have enjoyed the house as much as we do. We always welcome input on what we can add to the house to make it even more comfortable and complete. It is our goal to ensure that every guest finds a very clean and very well-maintained home with every amenity to make their vacation the very best it can be. Thank you to all our great guests who make this a very fun endeavor. Buff and Pai Toulon

My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary and it was perfect. When we started looking for a place to stay, we found dozens of hotel rooms and condos. We didn't want to travel to the mountains and stay in an apartment. This house was perfect. Very close to the town of Breckenridge so we didn't have far to go to shop and eat. It was also up from the town so you had breathtaking views and really felt like you were in the mountains. The owner was very accomodating and thorough. Highly recommended.

Great vacation rental - really nice house, loved the radiant heated floors, heated garage, mud room, and hot tub located just outside the door! Stunning views - watched sunrise and sunset over Breck every day we were there. Buff was also great to work with, reasonable rules for using the house without beating us up with nick-picky stuff. We'll definitely be back!

This house, no HOME, was so enjoyable to stay in that we are here for our 2nd year. Buff always answers emails promptly, it is very clean and everyone has been courteous. This home has all the amenities you need and then some. The kitchen supplies are awesome. Thank you for enabling a wonderful vacation!

The Double Diamond House exceeded our expectations: convenient location, amazing views, comfortable appointments and a nicely equipped kitchen (everyhting we hoped to find in the kitchen was there- even a large pot for king crab legs!) This was a great place to relax with friends; I would definitely recommend it!

I spend most of my life flying people all over the world and have rented & stayed at many properties in my travels but have no hesitation in saying this has been the best to date. It really is an insult to class it as a rental as it is far more than that, I would class it more as borrowing someone’s home. The property has everything you could want right down to the binoculars to fully utilise the magnificent views. It was the views that first drew us to this property and they did not disappoint. The rooms are all very well equipped.Sometimes renting through realty agents can be difficult but here you rent direct with the owner, who could not have been more helpful, one of life’s truly lovely people.I am recommending this property to all my friends & work colleagues.Top tip - don’t forget to use the humidifiers provided (Breckenridge being 9,000 ft has a very dry atmosphere) we only found them on our last day !
