Adding another 5 star review to this wonderful property and excellent host. With a daughter in Denver, one in Birmingham, AL and us in CT, we wanted a place that we could all enjoy a late Christmas getaway. The home had SPECTACULAR views of the mountains and we thoroughly enjoyed the well equipped home. Great master shower, wonderful radiant floors and comfy beds. It was so easy to get to town. Buff is very good about communicating with you. Great hot tub although the winds were a bit too much for me brave outside. Lots of storage areas for winter gear, and it was very clean. Will certainly revisit in the future.
Owner response:We greatly appreciate the time and effort our guests take in writing reviews to help us as well as future guests. It is always a pleasure to hear that our guests have enjoyed the house as much as we do. We always welcome input on what we can add to the house to make it even more comfortable and complete. It is our goal to ensure that every guest finds a very clean and very well-maintained home with every amenity to make their vacation the very best it can be. Thank you to all our great guests who make this a very fun endeavor. Buff and Pai Toulon

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The website really does not do the property justice. Fabulous views, very well stocked and comfortable home with abundant amenities. The property is very clean and well-maintained and the owners are easy to work with and helpful. We will definitely be returning!

Great vacation rental - really nice house, loved the radiant heated floors, heated garage, mud room, and hot tub located just outside the door! Stunning views - watched sunrise and sunset over Breck every day we were there. Buff was also great to work with, reasonable rules for using the house without beating us up with nick-picky stuff. We'll definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary and it was perfect. When we started looking for a place to stay, we found dozens of hotel rooms and condos. We didn't want to travel to the mountains and stay in an apartment. This house was perfect. Very close to the town of Breckenridge so we didn't have far to go to shop and eat. It was also up from the town so you had breathtaking views and really felt like you were in the mountains. The owner was very accomodating and thorough. Highly recommended.

This house, no HOME, was so enjoyable to stay in that we are here for our 2nd year. Buff always answers emails promptly, it is very clean and everyone has been courteous. This home has all the amenities you need and then some. The kitchen supplies are awesome. Thank you for enabling a wonderful vacation!

I spend most of my life flying people all over the world and have rented & stayed at many properties in my travels but have no hesitation in saying this has been the best to date. It really is an insult to class it as a rental as it is far more than that, I would class it more as borrowing someone’s home. The property has everything you could want right down to the binoculars to fully utilise the magnificent views. It was the views that first drew us to this property and they did not disappoint. The rooms are all very well equipped.Sometimes renting through realty agents can be difficult but here you rent direct with the owner, who could not have been more helpful, one of life’s truly lovely people.I am recommending this property to all my friends & work colleagues.Top tip - don’t forget to use the humidifiers provided (Breckenridge being 9,000 ft has a very dry atmosphere) we only found them on our last day !

The Double Diamond House exceeded our expectations: convenient location, amazing views, comfortable appointments and a nicely equipped kitchen (everyhting we hoped to find in the kitchen was there- even a large pot for king crab legs!) This was a great place to relax with friends; I would definitely recommend it!

We visited the Double Diamond House twice in the summer of 2008. The first visit was in June and we were treated with snowfall which made the views even more spectacular! The second trip was the end of July and we still were treated to mountains with snow caps. We have stayed in over 7 different houses/condos in the past 10 years in the Breckenridge area and by far, the Double Diamond has the best views and location to town. It really feels like home away from home, with careful thought to details and comfort. It is a remarkable value for the quality of home! Buff was very friendly, courteous, and accomodating. The Toulon Family provides a great retreat and I'm thankful they are willing to share it with us flatlanders! Sharon Brady Kansas

We really enjoyed our stay at the Double Diamond House. The views were great and easily viewed from the recliners between living and dining rooms. The location is very handy to town. All dealings with the owners were pleasant and effecient. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful place, on the quieter and beautiful east side of town. "Million dollar views" of the ski slopes, well-stocked house, clear directions all over the house to guide you. A rainy day was well spent with plenty of games, books, movies and high- speed internet (for our laptop). Sunny days spent even better exploring the mountains where a lifetime couldn't exhaust the options. Not the closest home to the slopes - which is exactly what I wanted, as I was looking more for a retreat than the "ski all day, party all night" side of town. A quarter mile walk to the "Upper Flume" trail, which connects to miles and miles of walking, running, biking trails. A few more minutes to the endless National Forest trails branching off Gold Run Rd at the top of the (long, steep) hill. And a 15 minute drive to some of the Rockies most scenic / famous hikes, or just take the lift up a mountainside. Best of all, the owner was a pleasure to work with. A real person, not just a faceless property management firm. She explained the layout, and pointed us to young family activities and restaurants in town. Less an "investment property", and more like staying at a lent home of a friend. Guests have responded in kind, and seem to leave it better than they found it.

We had a wonderful time at this superb house looking over Breckenridge. The views are fantastic and the rooms well decorated. Our grown children and their own families are planning on staying at this house on their next visit to Colorado.

This home was absolutely wonderful and all of the interactions with the owner very positive. The location was wonderful - close to town, yet far enough away to feel a sense of solitude and tranquility. The kitchen was very well supplied - plenty of equipment to cook gourmet meals. The furniture was very nice and extremely comfortable. And most importantly to us, the views were magnificent. We look forward to returning.

Wow, what a place! We couldn't have been happier with the Double Diamond Home during our recent stay. Every creature comfort was well-thought out and planned for. Rooms were roomy, comfortable and each had a breathtaking view. We were a party of six and there were times that we couldn't find each other (kids had fun with that)in the house because of the several levels and multiple rooms. My three kids spent alot of times just sitting at the bottom of the stairs playing with their Pokemon cards. It was pleasant to hear them enjoy themselves like they do at home while we enjoyed some adult time in the family room. Again, we couldn't have been happier and could go on forever with our comments. I was lucky enough to just happen upon this listing while surfing the net and Buff was great to work with. Accomodations for six people would have taken at least 2 hotel rooms and the price for the week was less than we would have paid at a hotel. The house is conveniently located to the Breckenridge slopes and our drive home was less than five minutes each day. Highly recommended and looking forward to another visit. Thanks Buff.

We loved our stay in your home out at Breckenridge. The home was luxurious, yet very comfortable and made us feel right at home. We had a very nice time. The morning we left,(Aug 26th) there was a fresh powdering of snow on the peaks across town. We had a great time. The home had everything we needed and we really enjoyed it. Thanks so much!! We could not have found a better place to stay. How fortunate we were to have come across the listing. It is incomparable to the crowded impersonal nature of a hotel or condo. The location is ideal while in a somewhat secluded and quiet neighborhood. No matter what you plan to do on your visit, staying in this dream home will make your vacation truly wonderful. The views are spectacular and can be enjoyed from nearly every home. It was cozy with all the touches of a comfortable home. We enjoyed our memorable stay and would book again in a hearbeat!

If you are looking for a wonderful vacation "home away from home", this is it. The views are spectacular and so is this house. We have stayed many places in Colorado, and this tops them all. We will definitely return to the Double Diamond house to enjoy the comfort, the panoramic view and the hospitality of this home.

September 16, 2004 What an amazing view! The house is spectacular. We have traveled many places and rented many homes and we found the Double Diamond house to be top notch. The house is well maintained, well equipped and very comfortable. It was great coming "home" to such a great place every day after golfing, biking, etc. We will definately be back! Thanks, Buff, for opening your beautiful home to us.

We just stayed 5 wonderful days at the double diamond house at it was by far one of the best vacations we have had. The house is set up perfect for any family. It has an awesome view of the Mountains and ski slopes, the hot tub is great for relaxing after a day of play, and it's just great sitting around the fire place and watching movies. If anyone wants the perfect get-a-way that's only 5 min. from a beautiful town, this is the place. We can't wait to get back next year. Donnie& Connie

A truly outstanding property. It is everything you see in the pictures and more. I would recommend (and have to many people since I returned) anyone considering visiting the Breckinridge area to put this home number one on your list of where to stay. The location, views and the way the house has the guest in mind made us feel right at home. We can't wait to get back.

My wife and I just spent a woderful weekend in the Double Diamond house. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the snow-capped mountains glowing in the moonlight was magical. This was by far the best equipped rental we have ever stayed in. Very comfortable with great views. A great place to get away and relax, and still very close to the slopes.

Two of my sisters and I stole away for a wonderful long weekend in Breckenridge in late October. The weather was beautiful, the ski area started its snowmaking while we were there (it was fun to observe the blanket of white creep up the runs), and the house was wonderful. My sisters hail from Savannah, Georgia and Lake Toxaway, North Carolina - so a visit to the Rockies was a treat, and time spent relaxing and renewing bonds in a comfortable home - with a view AN a hot tub - made our visit extra special. I also enjoyed getting to "know" Buff through our telephone and e-mail communications. Thanks for your friendly and devoted customer care, and for creating a great escape property. I would not hesitate to recommend your home to others.

With 18 years airline experience I have seen hundreds of hotels, condos and resorts. Our families stay at the Breckenridge house was by far one of the most enjoyable experiences to date. Living in LA it is imperative to find a tranquil vacation get away, the Breckenridge home exudes tranquillity! The view is breath taking, the air smells delicious and the outdoor hot tub averted all thoughts of the city and work! Can't wait to go back, thank you for sharing your home.

Once again, I had such an enjoyable stay at your home in Breckenridge. This was my third time around and each visit is a wonderfully rejuvenating experience. To me, the view alone is worth the whole trip; the lovely and comfortable amenities an added bonus. Thank you so very much for providing a great place to escape to. Kim McKie
