Spring Break 2012 for my children, grandchildren and me was absolutely wonderful. With 4 bedrooms we had plenty of room. There was plenty of room in the living room for a movie night for all of us. The house was very clean and maintained. The kitchen was very well equipped for the six of us. There wasn't anything it was lacking. The outside patio was where we spent most of our time while we were there and not out exploring the Keys. The covered /uncovered patio is why I picked this home for vacationing and it was exactly as it looked. The Kayak was great. We used it every evening we were at home. The boys also fished in the canal. The location of this home was perfect. We were just a couple of hours away from a spring training game or could head the opposite direction to Key West and be there for a sunset party and make it home at night at a decent time. Harris Park is very near by and is a wonderful place to swim and spend the day, especially if you have young children. The owners were very helpful in giving us ideas of where to go, what to do and what to see. I would recommend this house for a family, 4 couples or a getaway for the girls! It was great!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a wonderful week at Capricorn Cove! The house was clean and neat and well-appointed. Four bedrooms and two baths, and the large indoor living/dining area accommodated our whole family for dinners and lunches and catching a special TV show when we chose to stay inside. However, we spent most of the time in the nice shade provided by the large outside covered deck which has a great wooden table, perfect for early morning coffee, lunch gatherings, and evening dinners. The lower open deck area was perfect for those in the group who wanted to catch the sun--and there was plenty. The dock also nicely accommodated the 24' boat we rented for several of the days during our stay. Use of two mountain bikes and a two-person kayak was most appreciated--as were the nice appliances, including a brand new washer and dryer. There were plenty of linens and towels, and other amenities that made our stay most enjoyable. And the owner was always immediately responsive to questions when we initially inquired about the property and when we booked our stay, as well as when we arrived and about to depart. We would highly recommend booking a stay at Capricorn Cove.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I spent a week with my wife, 3 kids and the in laws here. The home is right on a canal with great deep water dock and direct access to the Atlantic ocean. We came to dive. The access from here allows easy trip up to the Key Largo sites like Speigel grove and everything between down to Alligator reef so a huge area with large variety of diving. The place is in prime condition, clean, stocked with everything you need to cook, relax, have a cocktail. The dive shops are within 2 miles and groceries within one mile so you spend little time away from your vacation home. I highly recommend this for a group up to 8 people.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We pride ourselves in ensuring the house is perfect for our guests, just the way we would want it. We want our guests to come back frequently. We thank you for your kind comments and hope to meet and greet you again.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in the Keys. Part of that had to do with the excellant accommodations at Capricorn Cove. The home was perfect, and suited our needs to a tee. It was exactly as described. Two full baths made it especially nice for 6 adults, and 2 small children. We really loved the fenced terrace for the grandchildren. Dave, it was a pleasure working with you, and hope that we can do it again in the not to distant future... Thank-youRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful week-long stay at this vacation home in May 2010. House was exactly as described- clean and well-kept with a cute nautical theme. Our children loved picking out their rooms and had hours of fun fishing from the dock. Thankfully, there was a safety latch on the gate leading to the dock to prevent our adventurous toddler from the dock area. Home was close to several Key Largo attractions and a Dairy Queen for an evening ice cream snack. If you walk around the corner to the main highway, you can also spy some land crabs in the mangroves. We highly recommend making the drive to Bahia Honda beach- one of the most beautiful beaches we've seen. After you're done swimming, find your way to the No Name Pub and enjoy a delicious pizza. David was a wonderful host. He even met us at the property and gave us a tour. We look forward to a future visit!Recommended for: Families with young children

We all enjoyed our week. The house was comfortable and well equipped for a week of fun. We like to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had fun with the kayaks, bikes and fishing equipment. The book with local information was a great help. We had folks flying in and out Miami at different times, plus playing golf at Keys Gate, and visiting Key West. This was a great location. It was great to work with Dave. I would recommend this house and hope to return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My husband and I have travelled a great deal and have never seen a cleaner house. You cannot go wrong with this rental; it is beautiful, tastefully decorated, very comfortable and in a perfect location. The owners are extremely accomodating and seemed willing to do anything to please their guests. There are lots of water"toys", games and swimming right off the dock. This is a very quiet and private home with wonderful neighbours. If you are nice the man who lives next door may even take you fishing! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and in fact we could not think of one improvement which we would have liked. Best of all, it's in the Keys where the weather is always nice. We cannot thank our hosts enough for advertising exactly what we got.Owner response: We have becomes friends after your month long visit. We stay in touch and have travelled together. Thanks, Dave

Dear Owners We live in South Africa, please help us with information on the Key's and Florida? What time of year will be the best to visit the Key's and we have a beautiful yacht what area of the Key's will be the easiest to sail and safest! We lived for 5 years in Cincinnati and would love to move back. Regards Dr. Philip and Anna-Marie MalanOwner response: Tavernier is probably the best place to use as your main point of stay in the Keys. It is close to everything you would need including the best restaurants and shopping, 2 hours from Key West and 1.5 hours to Miami Beach. Our house can accomodate a good size sailing vessel at our dock. Easy access with no bridges and deep canals. We have a 45 footer behind the house when the house is not occupied. You are welcome to enquire more directly with the owner. We have had guests arriving from all over the US Canada and Europe, many of which come back on a regular basis.
