Enjoyed my stay at Sheridan

The owner took great pride and time telling me about the history of this cottage plus the operation of all appliances. The cottage has that warm cozy feeling so sleeping was not a problem (the bed was very comfortable). The decor was very nicely done with modern appliances for cooking and cleaning. It is just a short walking distance to Main St. shops and restaurants. There was a very nice patio with a grill should you feel the need to have a cookout. I am looking forward to my next visit.

This is a very wonderful and charming cottage to stay at. Very clean with all the comforts of home. It can be classified as a second home. The owner went beyond the "call of duty" so to speak in explaining about the property, how to operate things and where everything was at. She is very accomodating and good to work with. She is a wealth of information telling about where things are at in Sheridan and the surrounding areas. Even gave information as to where to find the best place to find the perfect cup of coffee in town which I totally agree with! Strong points of this cottage are: 1) Has a very nice backyard with patio furniture, 2) Kitchen is top class, 3) Both bedrooms are tastefully decorated, and comfortable ensuring a perfect rest, 4) Off street parking is good and easy. I would stay there again and recommend this property to family and friends. The photos do accurately reflect this property, however, seeing it in person makes it even better-a pleasant surprise.

I travel (a lot) for my job! I travel 7 states and drive over 45K miles per year! During the summer months, when the family can come along, the challenge is to find a site that meets all of our needs. Melissa's Cottage was just the thing! Convenient for business, comfortable for the family: kitchen, laundry, walking distance to town, great park & river. Melissa is a great hostess, too. She had a chance to share a tour of the house with us so that we'd feel welcome and relaxed. (Later this summer, we were passing through town, and met Melissa for a bite to eat, and to catch up on all the news of the day.) Thanks, Melissa! We'll be back!

A Great Place to Stay in Sheridan

I loved staying at Melissa's Cottage. For me, the benefits were many: We were within walking distance of local family and friends and just a block or so from Sheridan's historic downtown. With a grill and a lovely backyard, we invited family for a barbecue. We spent a lot of our down time hanging out in the wonderful kitchen (equipped with all the amenities, including a coffee grinder), but the living room and reading nook are also great spaces to spend time in. Don't let the word "cottage" fool you. This is a full-size, two-bedroom house with lots of space. We were three adults and a teenager and had more than enough room. Sheridan is about mid-way between Bighorn and Ranchester/Dayton, so you can go in either direction for beautiful mountain views, wildlife, and hiking. The Cottage was perfect for our visit.

It was easy to arrange my stay and Melissa even had holiday decorations up when I arrived. The kitchen is especially nice and seemed to be right out of a design magazine. I loved the close proximity to food shopping, downtown and the YMCA.
