Our son, nephew and friend were hiking the Appalachian Trail with our son thru-hiking and the other 2 hiking over their spring break. This was the perfect cabin for giving our son a 2 night rest before continuing on the trail and the 4 of us driving back to Illinois/Wisconsin. The cabin has everything needed, was very clean, owners very nice and location convenient to Appalachian Trail at Unicoi Gap between Hiawassee and Helen. Only down-side was the hot tub didn't work which was a disappointment to the boys after hiking for 5 days but still deserved 5 stars!

The pics don't do the cabin or the surrounding area justice. When we arrived, It looked a bit small from the outside, but it was amazingly roomy and smelled fresh and homey. The fireplace is gas, so no messy logs or anything. It comes complete with towels, blankets, ziploc bags and even spices in the kitchen! I was initially a bit worried that having the owners next door might be a bit of a damper on the experience, but it turned out that it is a bit of a distance from the house and I enjoyed meeting them very much. We walked over to inquire about the closest grocery store and they were more than helpful. The cabin was warm, well appointed and, like I said earlier, so well stocked that you don't even need to bring a thing but your clothes. About 6 miles from the cabin on relatively easy roads is a small town that has great scenery and two grocery stores, a Family Dollar, Dollar General and some of the cutest shops I've ever seen. The fishing was great, the scenery was eye candy and the shopping was to die for. If you are not well versed with mountain roads, I would advise coming in to town on hwy 76 and not 75/17. There was a lot of snow in the area and I've never driven in it before. Coming up the side of that mountain was a bit of a scary moment.

We just stayed 4 nights at this cabin and it will be a vacation we will never forget! The owners were so very kind, offering their own golf cart to ride around on the property. The grounds is absolutely beautiful and the cabin itself is huge with plenty room for 3 couples. The inside looks very "woodsy" and the outside porch has a large swing, chairs and table to sit and enjoy the wildlife. We loved watching the little hummingbirds and tiny rabbits every morning. We had fun gathering raspberries and they made our pancakes so delicious! It was such a peaceful place, so much so, that our daughter's boyfriend decided to propose to her right there on the bridge instead of Helen, where he'd made his original plans. He said the setting at the cabin was so much better than in-town. We will definitely make plans to come back!

Our family enjoyed this great cabin for a 4-night get-a-way. It was cozy, comfortable and convenient to local outdoor activities such as Lake Chatuge and Lake Winfield Scott. The creek was about 100 yards from the back porch and was a relaxing spot the kids enjoyed. We enjoyed meeting the owners who live next door and very hospitable. Highly recommended!

My husband and I were celebrating our 2nd year anniversary and we had an experience of our lives. It was so wonderful and relaxing. This cabin is close to everything. We enjoyed the cabin and the atmoshpere. We went white water rafting down the Ocoee and I would tell you to do the train ride with Blue Ridge Railroad and the rafting trip. We had everything we needed in this cabin. I would recommend it to everyone.

We stayed here on June 18 & 19, 2008 with two other couples. Each couple had all the privacy we needed with our own bedrooms and baths. We were traveling on our motorcycles and we all decided we wished we had booked our entire vacation right here. The cabin is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you might need. The host & hostess were wonderful. Helpful with local knowledge of restaurants and even called one to make reservations for us. Super, super place to stay. We can't wait for the chance to return.

We stayed a full week in the cabin, which is actually a full sized house. It was fantastic. We took 4 of our children. Ages 9, 11, 14, & 15. All had the greatest time. There was plenty of room, the beds were very comfortable, the cabin was immaculate. The view was spectacular, there is a creek that the kids had a blast walking across the rocks on, a great fire pit for family bonfires, and marshmallow roasting. I highly recommend this to any family wanting a very special time away together.

We chose this marvelous cabin to be a part of the area and were rewarded with serinity and super accomadations. Appointments are all there, I can't think of anything we did not have. Owners should be proud of this piece of paradise that they can share with others for a night or a week.

Beautiful, clean, spacious and very well furnished. This Mountain getaway was just what the doctor ordered. It's serene quiet setting in this secluded area was wonderful. It was just a short jaunt to the beautiful town of Hiawasee where you will find anything you need. We are planning our next stay in this cabin now, you will not be disappointed.

We were plesantly surprised by this rental. There was plenty of room for 8 people (4 adults, 4 children ages 10,8,7,4). There was plenty of room for the kids to play. We also enjoyed the set-up by the creek (swing, fire ring w/firewood, deck w/picnic tables). This is a great place to stay!

The cabin is truly as beautiful as it looks. The owners have done a great job decorating the place to make it both inviting and welcoming, a home away from home. I plan on going back as soon as I can find the time. It is conveniently located to all the towns as well as to most of the major rafting centers. And the mountains are a good place to relax and be at peace for a bit.

I went up for a few days at Thanksgiving. Very relaxing I did not want to come home. The mountains were beautiful would like to go up in the spring or summer. The cabin is so cozy and homie. Loved the fireplace and the views. Would like to go back when it is warmer so I could walk down the creek. Also loved the sound of the water as it rushed over the rocks. Plan on going back.

What a beautiful cabin this is! Very tastefully decorated with a country and wildlife theme. Lots of wood everywhere inside. Conveniently located to Helen and Hiawassee. We really enjoyed the gas fireplace and the backporch swing even though it was cold outside. This is a very nice cabin.

Located in a gorgeous location, between a group of mountains, in a valley. Cabin is beautiful, very well kept, and crafted in a logcabin fashion. There is plenty to do, whether you want to hang out by the campfire or relax on the porch. Nearby Hiawassee, always has something going on for the whole family at the Fairgrounds. There's something fun for all ages - a definite vocation spot in the future - you will certainly be pleased and impressed.

We had a great time. The cabin was perfect. We visited the trout farm to catch fish, grilled them on the bbq; climbed Brasstown Bald and visited Helen. We carved a pumpkin on the porch and made an adventurous hike to the creek 300 yards away. Can't beat a cabin with a 35" TV and DVD / 3 VCRs! "Camping" was never so much fun.

The cabin was so relaxing, cozy, and comfortable. My daughter felt like she had her own little apartment to herself down in the basement studio. We went in July and it was just beautiful. We went over to Cleveland, Ga. and saw the Cabbage Patch Hospital where cabbage patch dolls are born. We spent much time in Helen shopping and tubing down the Chattahoochi River. We are already making plans for next year to go white water rafting. Its a very nice get away.
