The Green Beetle Retreat is a newly built luxury condo at the Lodges at Elkmont in the beautiful North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. You will be conveniently located 1.5 miles east of the only stoplight in charming downtown Banner Elk. The unit was completed in June 2007. This is the perfect size unit for a couple or family with children.
You will be located 5 miles from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and 6 miles from Ski Beech Mountain.
This is the perfect place to get away and unwind. You will love relaxing in the spacious living room by the gas log stone fireplace or watching TV. This upscale unit has hardwood floors in the living room and kitchen, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and washer/dryer in a separate laundry room. Furniture is new and very comfortable.
The Green Beetle is furnished and decorated in an environmentally friendly way - by using non-VOC (no emission) paints, bamboo sheets, organic cotton towels, reclaimed & recycled artwork, and recycled glassware. The unit is cleaned with non-toxic and earth-friendly products.
Elkmont amenities include the lovely Shawneehaw Creek winding through the property and a common area with gazebo, long-range view, outdoor firepit, picnic tables, and charcoal grill.
Activities and attractions include Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Tweetsie Railroad, gem mining, white-water rafting, horse-back riding, hiking, summer theater at Lees McCrae, and summer concerts in the park.
