We recently just stayed at this home to celebrate my sisters upcoming nuptuals, we had family and friends and enjoyed a low-key weekend of outdoor fun and loved staying in this home. It was exactly as pictured and contained all the amentities you need. The home was clean and organized. I would definately recommend this home. The only negative feedback I have is that the hot-tub water was scalding hot and we were not able to relax and take advantage of it. But truly this home is great and as described!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: So glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for the feedback on the hot tub and we will look into that as there must be a way to adjust the temperature somehow. Thanks so much and we would love to host you again soon!

Our family stayed at your beautiful home during President's week. My 12 and 8 year old immediately loved the house! It is such a pretty home with modern amenities. The kitchen is fully stocked, and their are plenty of beds for multiple families. The bunk room is a favorite with my 8 year old. If you have toddlers, the lack of a banister may be an issue. Check in was easy and the location was perfect for skiing and restaurants. Such an enjoyable stay! Thank you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so thrilled that you enjoyed your stay! Thank you very much for the kind feedback and we hope to have the chance to host you again and provide another flawless experience!

I've stayed in a lot of cabins in the Tahoe area, but this cabin by far is my favorite. The location is perfect, you have access to ski resorts, dowtown, and Lake Tahoe in minutes. All of the appliances are up to date and the cabin itself feels like a home away from home. I am definitely coming back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This house was amazing. The house was in great condition. We bbq-ed steaks and chilled in the largest hot tub with jets. Which one day got over heated and turned off, we called the maintenance number and within 15 minutes, there was a man there to fix it. Great service and couldn't ask for anything more. The casinos where 9 min drive.....but the easiest drive in the world...basically go straight and turn right. Would go back in a heart beat. There was also horses and atv's close!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for the great review and kind words Leah! Our on-call maintenance team is always happy to come by and help with any issues that may arise. I'm happy to hear that they were able to help you and that you had a fantastic stay! Hope to hear from you again soon for your next vacation! Best, Michael

We rented this house for 6 ladies and it was for sure big enough to accommodate us all. That being said there was quite a bit of misleading going on with the photo's that are on this site. The angle of the camera makes the house seem much larger than it actually is and that was a let down and it didn't stop there. The three couches are VERY old VERY broken and very filthy, they slope forward, dump you out and make your back hurt! We all joked that they must have found them on the street with a free sign on them! The house doesn't have an air conditioner and gets very warm and unbearable, this wouldn't be a problem if they provided a few floor fans as an option for the hot summer days/nights, and fans don't cost a lot and bring a ton of comfort. The cookware is horrible and everything you cook sticks this makes for difficult cooking and cleaning up, I suggest some non-stick cookware! The patio furniture on the back deck was not in the best of shape either, while having breakfast one morning I fell right though my chair because they are so worn, this will continue to happen because the remaining 3 chairs are also in the process of ripping. The hot tub is awesome and big but to get to the control panel you must make a big step down onto cement blocks (that are not stable) this is not safe at all! And the deck rail is so high off the deck that a child or small adult could slip right though, also not good! I have an issue that we paid a cleaning deposit but when we got there the house was not clean at all, dusty, dirty floors and towels and such and stains all over the furniture. These things did not ruin our trip but I see previous reviewers have made the same complaints and yet the owners have not made any changes to assist in the comfort of their guest. If the owners would make some simple changes this could be a 5 star property but again I can't get over the disgust of the couches they were really horrible. This property also has bear issues and we had 2 of them enter our house while we were at the store. They ripped off the front screen and ate almost all of our food and left it all around the house, they came back again the next morning and tried to get in again but they failed this time, thank God. I am sorry for just focusing on the negitive but isn't that what we all want to know any way?Owner response: Hi Tammy, I am very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at our home. We are in the process of purchasing replacement furniture to make it more comfortable. We greatly appreciate your honest feedback and are serious about making some improvements as soon as we can. Best, Michael

We had a great stay at the Lone Pine Lodge. We had 12 people there and the kitchen and living room were great for having everyone together. The hot tub was an added bonus. It is very close to Heavenly and other great attractions.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The Lone Pine Lodge was the perfect place for my 30th birthday bash! My friend & I arrived first and while getting the key from the lock box, almost dropped the cover in the grate (forgot about previous reviews). The grate is a little weird to walk across every time you go in and out of the door. Even though it looked a lot bigger online, I was impressed by how open the kitchen was and how quaint and cozy the entire floor plan was. My family from Illinois had no trouble finding the place, as they met us shortly after we arrived. The cozy den/theater, huge kitchen, spa, sledding in the backyard and spacious master bath with jacuzzi tub were my favorites! We planned a big dinner, with four of us comfortably prepping in the kitchen and using the BBQ with ease. If we ever had any questions, someone was available right away and when we couldn't figure out how to connect the surround sound to the DVD player, someone came out within about 3 hours. The beds were cozy, fireplace kept it warm downstairs and everything was in working order. We did come across one spider hanging from the kitchen ceiling and one huge ant in the master bath....no bears!!! For the price and amenities, The Lone Pine Lodge is the perfect Tahoe retreat and I would reccommend it to anyone!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This home was ideal for our family vacation for a total of six people. The location was in close proximity not only to the various ski resorts, Heavenly, Sierra, Squaw, and Kirkwood, but also to the grocery store, casino, shopping, and restaurants. The house was comfortable and was home for the week we were there. We loved having the option to grill dinner if we wanted to, and also to relax in the hot tub after a day of skiing. The house was well maintained except for some cleanliness issues. If I had any recommendations they would be: We cooked every night at the house and found the pan selection to be poor. There definitely needs to be a better variety and replacement of the non-stick pans is critical. They were well/over used and difficult to clean. The couch in the TV family room needs replacing - the springs are all broken in the seats. If not replaced, then at least cleaned - it is stained and filthy. In fact, the couch hadn't even been vacuumed under the cushions; there was food all under the cushions. If this home is advertised as accommodating 12 people, there definitely needs to be more towels at the house. There aren't 12 bath towels for each person to have a towel. We washed towels during the week and there were six of us. There should be more blankets especially upstairs as it got chilly at night. All in all this home added to our memorable vacation and we will definitely look to VRBO for future vacation accommodations. Thank you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi Benjamin, I am glad to hear your family had a great time during your stay! We appreciate your helpful feedback and will update the pots and pans in the home as well as add more towels and blankets for future guests. We will also look into replacing the couch soon. Thanks again and we hope you will keep us in mind for your future Tahoe vacations. Best, Michael
