There is great swimming from a sandstone beach. The Tidal Pool in front of the property is great for the kids - the cottage is just steps away. Being steps from the beach allows you to hear the waves from every room in the house. With accommodation for up to five guests, this two loft-styled bedroom cottage offers very comfort and convenience. For a small extra fee, the "atilier" or bunk house sleeps four extra guests in bunks.
Fitted with wonderful wood detailing and hardwood floors, this home is an ideal retreat for the family. From the large sundeck you get a close up look at Georgia Strait and all its activity. As well, you have views of Vancouver and from the beach you have a wonderful view of Mount Baker.
Located just four miles from the ferry terminal and two miles from the store. Check-In/Check-Out is arranged to coincide with ferry schedules. Reserve now for your time at this special year round home.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our island get-a-way and your seaside accommodations. Your beautiful post and beam home exceeded our expectations! You have a slice of paradise and we steeped ourselves in the relaxation that such a retreat offers. The many highlights include, the wrap around windows and deck so your guests can bask in brightness and views, the window seat which invites lounging, the wood-stove for cozy evenings, the ever changing shoreline for exploring and the peace and quiet that lends itself to tranquility! If guests can peel themselves away, our top three island discoveries were the hikes to Matthew's Beach, Bluff Park and Bellhouse Park.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.

Great cottage on a great waterfront property. Only comment would be regarding sleeping description. This is not a 2 bedroom but an L-shaped loft with one queen size bed and 2 foamies on the floor not separated for any kind of privacy. Would be adequate for a couple with 2 small children. The fifth person would be relegated to another foamie in the window seat on the main level.

For future travelers please refer to the description details and photos 8 and 9 on the website to view the open plan of the 2 loft styled bedrooms. The larger loft has a queen bed with the smaller loft having 2 twins in fir frames with carved headboards. These beds are low to the ground, safe for young children but are adult sized.

My daughters and I had and outstanding week on Galiano. The cottage is beautifully located on the water. The tide pools on the rocks in front of the cottage provieded hours of fun. I fell asleep every night to the sounds of the waves. There is a great view of Vancover and the shipping traffic and I'd recommend bringing along a telescope or binoculars. My dog loved the water as well. We will be back!

Great location on the water with fantastic views. Our kids had so much fun playing for hours in the tide pool right in front of the cottage. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and the sound of the crashing waves. The tennis court was a nice plus. Its always nice to come to Galiano, where we can slow down and unwind from our busy lives. Thanks so much, we'd definitely like to come again. Steve
