Great place for reunions

We had a nine-person family reunion at El Sueno and enjoyed it very much. This would be a great place to hold a multi-day retreat or training session for a company or organization. I would not recommend having small children in the house during cold weather because of the unavoidable hazards associated with space heaters, and I do not know anything about cooling in hot weather. Visiting Big Bend Parks (State and National) really needs two one-day trips from Marfa, and day trips to Fort Davis, Alpine, and other areas are well worth while. Everything at El Sueno was just as promised and I definitely recommend it, but we were there over Christmas and the property manager was not available to help with minor problems and questions.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Visit this wonderful 100 year old home referred to by the locals as the castle in the desert. A great place for family and friends to stay or for hosting an event. Enjoy the unique architecture and furnishings in this one of a kind property.
