Why the Owner Chose Heritage Shores
Our families vacationed together in the Gulf Shores area for years; we all love the beach, fishing, playing golf and birding and hiking in the nearby National and State Parks. We love using the beach house year round, but opted to rent in the summer to help defray expenses.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The boys play golf at several of the 7 golf courses in the area. When not playing golf we love to surf fish, which is great year round, and fish offshore or in the bay. The girls enjoy reading and sunning on the white sandy beaches and visiting the shops at Foley, the Warf and along the Gulf SHores to Perdido strip.
Owner's Map of Heritage Shores
Beachwalk is owned by Lucius and Penny Butts and Chuck and Loula Wilson of Baton Rouge, LA. In 2004 we happened upon Heritgae Shores, a luxury development on the Fort Morgan Penninsula, and decided to invest in this well kept and ideally located community where 35 neighborhood homes share the use of two pools and a tennis court.

We arrived Saturday afternoon at Beachwalk. The house was clean, the outside was beautiful. I loved the upstairs suite with the HUGE flat screen TV. The kids sat up the Xbox there and played games with their Mobile AL relatives. TV's in every room (good ones) Great kitchen and all the utensils we needed. The swimming pools were great. No loud raucous neighbors or anything like that. Peaceful was the word of the week. Beautiful views of the storms that swept across the bay. Great seafood and tons of attractions to be seen. We went to "the Track " an amusement park with 3 awesome go-cart tracks. We went to alligator alley in Foley, the Bird sanctuary on Hwy 180, a dolphin cruise in Orange Beach. The teens went to "The Hangout' (my old 1967 stomping grounds). All in all, it was worth every penny we spent on the house. We spent time everyday at the beach. We saw NO oil tar balls or any inkling of the BP oil problem from 2010. I recommend this place to anyone that wants to have some "High Class" place to have a family reunion. Thanks Pat Baker Saratoga NY

We had a great time with all of our adult children! At this time of year, the sunrises and sunsets are Humbling. On our trip, Mobile Bay proved to be a great adventure! 6 Dolphins jumped out of the water at arms length while we kayaked to Fort Morgan! Abundant fishing in the bay and gulf and then eating our catch overlooking Mobile Bay proved satisfying. The walk to the beach is about the length and time as it would be from a high rise condo. The beach is wide and not crowded. Beachwalk was very comfortable and accommodating. The owners are very attentive. 4 Stars!

My group lady friends and I have vacationed at Beach Walk several times. It is one of our favorite getaways. The first time we went there we thought we had gone to heaven. The house is huge, the furniture is comfortable, it is well-equipped, and it is beautiful. The northside upper and lower balconys overlook the gorgous Mobile Bay, yet we are only a very short stroll (shorther than most gulf front condos) to the beach. Long walks on the quiet beach are our favorite activity while we are there; it is only a mile and a half to completely undeveloped, protected beach. However, we also enjoy the tennis court and pools, and have promised we will bring our golf clubs one day to enjoy the first rate golf courses nearby: Kiva Dunes and Peninsula. The shopping nearby (Tanger Outlet and Old Time Pottery) is fantastic. We all got a lot of our Christmas shopping done there this past autumn while laughing, talking, and passing a good time. There are some fun (and good) restaurants nearby. We love Tacky Jacks, a bay front seafood restaurant a mile or two west, and Tequila Bay, a gulf side Mexican restaurant three or four miles east. For more elegant dining we have gone to Beach Club, 5 or 6 miles east. We often prepare our dinner in the house, as Beach Walk has a large, well-equipped kitchen that can accommodate several cooks while the rest of the party can sit around the HUGE counter and enjoy drinks and snacks (and offer helpful comments!) But we always dine at the enormous dining table (it seats up to 14)as gracious Southern ladies are wont to do. Sitting on the balcony in the late afternoon, laughing about the events of the day, sipping a glass of wine and watching the sunset over the bay are among my favorite memories of Beach Walk.
