We've been to a lot of the islands in Fl. and Hilton Head superio to them, every home is just beautiful. This house is in a cudle-sac of high end homes, all landscaped beautifully and in sink with each other . The bike trails were amazing and took us to the beach and Baynard ruins. We just loved the fact there were bikes in excellent condt. ready for us. The beds were comfortable and everything clean. The lagoon view was so peaceful and we enjoyed eating on the deck. Loved Harbor town so quaint and charming, in the evenings we sat in the red rockers and enjoyed the live music. Thank you we be back. The Rakoci's Fl.

Needs some work

There is a reason all the reviews are from 3-4 years ago. It definitely needs some work now to make it look like the photos. some maintenance is needed on the front grounds, as well as inside the house. The location, however, is exactly as stated. Very convenient to everything. I would recommend some yard clean-up in the courtyard and in front of house by driveway, some window and sliding glass door repairs inside, and a good cleaning of windows, glass doors, and bedroom carpet. Also could use some new pots and pans, with lids that fit the pots and a new coffeemaker. Just some easy fixes. A nice open floor plan and the bikes are a definite plus. Would recommend this property to a friend.

We had a fabulous time in early Nov. The house was a perfect place for two couples to share. Its a lovely home, the bikes were a blast and sitting on the deck in the afternoon was totally relaxing in the warm sun. There is plenty of space for everyone and it was extremely comfortable. Thanks for a great time!

I would highly recommend 26 Gunnery Lane, a wonderful property in a terrific neighborhood of Sea Pines. The back deck overlooks a tree-fringed lagoon and the whole neighborhood is rich with birdsong and criss-crossed with bike-paths. The three-bedroom house is wonderfully bright, stylishly decorated, and very comfortable; and the second floor -- with its bedroom, loft area and bath, is perfect for guests. Our dog loved the house, particularly the fenced-in courtyard in front -- a rarity on Hilton Head. The Zapiecs were extremely helpful with insider tips and very responsive to any needs we had.

This is our 3rd stay at Gunnery Lane, and we always have a great time. We rode bikes, played tennis, and golf, as well as relaxed. A great place with a real at home feel.

Really outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 26 Gunnery. This property is very tastefully done, clean and well stocked with nice supplies and amenities. The owner's "locals tips" were a big plus. It is so rare, and so appreciated, to find such a nice rental that is pet friendly. We would gladly come back and have already recommended these properties to several of our friends. The owners were so nice to deal with. A big 2 thumbs up!

We had a lovely time at #26 with family from VT & CO and dear well-behaved dogs. The house is superbly situated, quiet and with bike trails and beach, playgrounds and wonderful sun, sand and great shopping we all enjoyed the well-appointed and furnished home. Thanks Chuck & Mary.

Our entire family enjoyed our first-time stay at 26 Gunnery. The home was beautiful and immaculately clean. We had more than enough room and every one had their own space. We especially appreciated the pet-friendly environment so both our chihuahua and our daughter's (from Florida) chihuahua could enjoy vacation with us. We also enjoyed the extra amenities like the use of the beach chairs and bikes. Your listing of great restaurants and directions were invaluable. We loved 26 Gunnery!!! We are pet owners (very well-trained pets) and it is difficult to find nice, clean places that take pets. Things like nice, thick towels and the completely out-fitted kitchen were details that we truly appreciated. The bikes that were provided were wonderful, too. We loved it and will always look for one of Chuck and Mary's properties when we go back to Hilton Head. It is easy to take care of a cottage when you can tell the owners take such good care of it, too. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!!!!

From the moment we pulled up to the driveway I was certain our vacation would be relaxing and worry free. The house truly is located in the middle of the woods, but close enough to walk to the beach. I thought for sure the owner was exaggerating. The kitchen allowed my family to enjoy our Christmas in February. I was also surprised to have wireless access, that was a definite plus. We just arrived home to below zero weather and wish we were back in Hilton Head. We had the house for Jan. with our labrador and loved it. Had some great times with the bikes on the beach that goes on forever. The house was more than we expected and suited us. It is very clean with comfortable beds, great kitchen, the internet worked, bikes worked neighborhood is very desirable. Didn't use the deck much wasn't that warm enough but drank some coffee out there looking at wildlife and did see one of the alligators swim by one morning. Much bigger than I was thinking. We would very much like to return next year. Thanks Chuck.

We just loved the house. It was so close to the bike trail and beach. The bed was so comfortable and the linens an towels a nice quality. The screen porch was one of our favorite things. The enclosed courtyard was another. It was wonderful staying in a very clean home. We find traveling with our pets most home owners try and rent us less than clean homes. We have rented four times from Hilton Head Hideaways and each home was wonderful.

What a wonderful vacation we had in this beautiful home on the lagoon. It was our first trip but not our last. The beds were so comfortable it was hard to get out and get going but we did. We had a wonderful time at Hilton Head while staying at this property. It was everything that was promised and the property rental agents are very helpful. Anything we asked, they were glad to assist. Some of the really memorable things are the view from the back deck and screened in porch. It is overlooking a lagoon and is so relaxing. The trees and foliage are beautiful. The home is large and comfortable. The beds feel wonderful with nice linens, pillows and mattresses. We slept great. The bike trails are flat and easy to ride on, winding through gorgeous scenery. Although not located right on the beach, driving to the club house and parking was not a problem. We would definitely come again!

We loved this house and can't wait to go back to Sea Pines (by far the best location in HH - We drove the car only once the entire week - we biked everywhere!) The entire house is wonderfully kept. I have already recommended it to all my friends and relatives. The only problem you'll face is having to leave the house once your vacation is over!

This was the first trip that my wife and I decided to take with our two dogs and it was a great decision. The location of the house to the miles of trails and to the beach was perfect. The house itself was nicer than what we expect from a vacation property and very comfortable. We are planning to make another trip to Hilton Head next year with a group of friends and would consider staying at this location again.

We loved this house! It was very well kept and comfortble. We stayed here with our dog and had the best time walking the trails in the area, playing golf and going to the beach. Our family, dogs included, have stayed with Hilton Head Hideaways 3 years in a row, each year we find a new discovery and wish we had one more week. The house is peacefully located, to just sit and relax on the back deck, take a nice walk to the beach, a bike ride to town, or even better a bike ride along the beach to town. I look forward to the next year.
