As you enter the house through an ancient wood door, you step into the living/dining room. Decorated with some modern furnishings accented by carefully chosen antiques, the original stone walls and overhead beams give it old world charm. The sitting area of sofa and easy chairs, and dining table with 4 chairs, all enjoy a wonderful view of the Roman amphitheater Les Arenes. The kitchenette is also on the main floor and is equipped with stove, oven, refrigerator, and microwave. Down a few stairs is a laundry room with washer and dryer and a half bath. Upstairs you'll be delighted to find 2 queen bedrooms with ensuite full bathrooms with antique claw-foot tubs with showers. The fireplace, antique tables and chairs, four poster beds with exquisite linen, and beautiful views to the street give these bedrooms a special ambiance. The house has recently been equipped with 3 air conditioning units.
This is an ideal location for exploring one of the most beautiful areas of the world. Just 13 kms from Saint Remy, you'll fully enjoy the culinary expertise and beautiful countryside of Provence. A great rental in the heart of Provence!

Exactly What We Hoped For

We spent a week in this incredible home and were not disappointed. One thousand years old, 200 ft from the Roman Amphitheatre, incredible cafe's & restaurants (one just around the corner), and steeped in history and tradition. We were told the French didn't care for Americans. Everyone (throughout France) couldn't have been more accommodating. The entire experience was unforgettable. One note of caution, even though the home was clean and spotless, it's still 1,000 years old. If you have allergies, bring allergy meds. But please, don't let this stop you. It was well worth a few sniffles. You will not regret this!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.
