This beautiful, apartment is located at the waters edge in a beautifully restored historic hotel. With waterviews from most points in the apartment, you can experience the comforts of home.

The studio is perfect for one or two persons, and is a terrific value. You would likely not find a room in a hotel with a lake view, so direct, and certainly not one with a balcony for less that at least two, maybe even three times the cost -- and you have a full, well stocked efficiency kitchen too! Again, you will find this apartment a tremendous value, as many of the towns most exclusive hotels are nearby,including the famed "Villa D'este"

The balcony has the most magnificent views, even a terrific view while sitting up AND while lying in bed, really something...

Everything is very close by; Shops, museums, galleries, and restaurants, cafes, and outdoor markets. The lake is just about 25 feet away!

YOU WILL LOVE THIS FANTASTIC LOCATION - A car is not necessary here to enjoy the area - reach most all sights by foot or by boat!

The Bear With Historic 16th Century Church Seen From The Apartment

VRBO Bear stayed here - 03/13/2005 If you want to experience the life of leisure in Como, then this is the place to be. Situated in a quiet residential area of town, this apartment is just a few minutes walk to the lake and positioned directly above the town square, which includes restaurants, cafes and shopping. The apartment is actually a part of a historic 16th century church and boasts of a mixture of brick, wood floors and beamed ceilings. Looking out from the large windows you can see the front of this church with the towering mountains in the background.

After breakfast in the morning, I loved opening the windows and listening to the sounds below. Although this apartment is located in the middle of town it doesn’t have any major streets nearby so you cannot hear any traffic noises, only the pitter patter of people walking by, the birds singing and the hourly church bell.

The residence is located on the 2nd floor, with an elevator for easy access, (especially for those who pack like they are getting ready to hibernate for the winter). It is nicely decorated in a modern motif with simple furnishings and bold colors. The bedroom, living area, kitchen and bathroom were all very clean and comfortable. A computer with high speed internet is provided, so it was easy to keep in touch with home, look up travel information and the weeks forecast. There were also other modern amenities such as a TV and a DVD player.

The owner of this property was polite and a joy to meet. He was helpful in every way possible. My friends and I could not have enjoyed our stay more. This apartment was in a superb location and I would recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to Como.
