This beautiful beach cottage has everything a guest could possibly need. It is peaceful (set back from the road so there is no traffic noise and the deck, garden and hot tub at the back are private). The cottage is large, spacious and clean, and all linens/towels/soaps etc are provided. The kitchen contains a great selection of utensils and cooking equipment. The photos do not do it justice - it is much larger than it looks and is beautifully decorated throughout. Everything is done to a high standard and the quality shows. The owners were very helpful and responded very quickly to our emails. We had a wonderful week in Capitola - the cottage is only five minutes walk from two beaches and the village centre, and is also not far from Gayle's amazing bakery. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, plus a shopping mall and supermarkets just a few minutes drive away. Highway 1 is close by if you wish to explore further afield. We visited the Mystery Spot (fun and quirky gravity-defying area - but you need to pre-book), 17 Mile Drive and Carmel, Big Sur, Winchester Mystery House (pre-booking also advisable) at San Jose, outlet shopping at Gilroy, and also Ano Nuevo State Park (where we saw elephant seals on the beach). This was the best accommodation we have ever stayed in and we would not hesitate to recommend it. We hope to return one day and the guest book in the cottage shows that many guests have been back again and again. That says it all.

The cottage is so comfortable. Everything you need or want is there. Lots of room, nice big hot tub and deck, great kitchen! The location is private and quite yet close to everything. Loads of things to do within walking distance and even more with a short drive. This was our second stay there on a girlfriend trip. Perfect place for family of just a few friends to gather together. We had our second girl trip in the past two years to this charming well appointed cottage. Beautifully furnished, well equipped kitchen, video library, books, games, wifi. Hot tub is a definate plus. We were in it every night. The outdoor heated shower was a real luxury. For $10 you can fish off the Capitola Pier all day. No fishing license needed. So much fun! Have the steamed clams at the restaurant at the end of the Capitola Pier. Awesome! Try fish tacos on the lunch menu at Zelda's On The Beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our second week long stay at the property. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. The owners have provided an amply supply of towels, bedding, cooking utensils, etc. We also enjoyed being only a short 10 (15 if you drag your feet) minute walk to downtown Capitola and the beach. The cottage will comfortably sleep a family of six or 2/3 couples in comfort and privacy. The cottage is set off the street and is private and quiet. Peggy is a perfect hostess and will respond quickly to your questions or any concerns you might have concerning the rental. We have recommended the cottage to our friends and will continue to return for our annual retreat to Capitola.

Our family had such a wonderful time at this super cute cottage!! It was so warm and cozy! Location was great very close to the beach and shopping!! We cant wait to visit again! :)
