  My girlfriend, my sister and I (from Canada) along with 2 friends from Greece wanted a nice, clean, and comfortable place to stay for 3 nights in Manuel Antonio. The pictures do not do this place justice; trust me its paradise. Kelly (the owner) was amazing to deal with, plus Antonio (the house-keeper) was the nicest most processional man I have dealt with. The place was in the hills near a supermarket (expensive but the only choice) and by many nice restaurants (walking distance or by taxi from either direction). Restaurants in Manuel Antonio are pricey but good quality. The beaches are nice (7min taxi ride) and so is the National Park (you are better off to take a $35 taxi to Rain Maker; far better than the National Park) Anyhoo, have fun and for sure stay at Casa Bosque Verde.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

  I absolutely loved staying at Casa Bosque Verde! The house had more than enough room & plenty of privacy thru out the property. My favorite place to spend time when at the house was on the deck overlooking the pool & garden listening to all the different birds, & at times watching the monkeys come thru. Every day as we would go out we were warmly greeted by Antonio & his faithful companion, Mariposa! I would most definitely stay at Casa Bosque Verde again!

  Pura Vida for real! Just returned from CR and stayed at the wonderful Casa Bosque Verde. It was the perfect location for being immersed in the culture experiencing both the Tico way of life; yet close to all the other action. I speak just a little Tex Mex Spanish and was able to get by just fine; if not English was plentiful. The people are very nice and friendly which made it very easy with communication. This place is excellent and I can not wait to return...Although walking to the main beach or any beach for that matter is very possible I would cab it, the walk was not an easy terrain to navigate and too close to traffic all else great great great!!!!

  When we drive up to Bosque Verde, it is like coming home. It is a wonderful home. Antonio, the guard, always makes us feel like family and yet afords us our privacy. The pool seems to stay clean on its own, and the maids come and go with out us knowing.. we were never disturbed. It was wonderful to have free WiFI and direct phone line to Canada, which made it very easy for us to keep in touch with family. We rarely had to use the AC as the home has great natural air flow. The beds are comfortable and towel luxurious.. Every day we were visited by a troop of monkeys. The Property is exactly what they discribe, beautiful. private, very clean and well equiped. It is in a super location, close to grocery stores and restauants. Our favorite restaurants, were La Cantina, La Wagon and Bamboo Jam. All of which are with in 5 min of the house.. We will rent here again and highly recommend this house to any one wanting comfort and privacy. Great value for the dollars..

  Our group of six adults and two children stayed at Casa Bosque Verde for three nights in January and had a marvelous time. It's a true gem of a house at a very reasonable rate. It's clean, private, spacious, secure, beautiful and very well-equipped. It's a short walk to a well-stocked grocery store and near many good restaurants. We are so glad we found Casa Bosque Verde and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on a future trip to Costa Rica. The security guard and housekeeper were fantastic and so helpful. All around, it was a wonderful experience. None of us wanted to leave!

  My family and I visited Costa Rica a week ago and were very thrilled with this house! It was in a good central location to the beaches, the national park, and many restaurants. Everything was about ten minutes away. We were able to take advantage of the kitchen which is fully equiped with all utensils you may need. The pool was nice too! It is about five feet deep so it was a nice place to go relax after all the activites that we did throughout the day. The supermarket is literally five mintues away walking distance and the prices are very similar to what we have in the US. The cofee in Costa Rica in general is amazing and is about $10 a bag. The view from the house is beautfiul and you do get see a lot of nature in it! There were actually banana trees in the backyard. There are a lot of ants because of the plants, so make sure to bring a lot of ziplock bags in order to store food. Antonio, the gatekeeper is great!! We had a long conversaton and he is a very interesting person! This house is a great find and I would recommend it!

  I admit that, since this was my second ever rental from VRBO, I was concerned that we might not like the house we chose. I could not have been more wrong! Upon arriving at the house, Antonio greeted us and didn't seem to mind my VERY broken spanish. We literally spent over an hour walking around the house and grounds ooh-ing and aah-ing over everything. In particular, we thought the bathrooms were incredible and now I'm a little disappointed to notice that there are no pictures of the bathrooms on here. One other reviewer mentioned that pictures don't do this rental justice and I fully agree. I ended up having to take video of the house to send back to friends in the States as they didn't believe we found such a beautiful, affordable house. Now that we're in the beginning stages of planning a second vacation to Costa Rica, this house is definitely in the "possible" list of places we'll stay!

  This is a beautiful home for a vacation in Costa Rica. It is centrally located in Manuel Antonio and in a real neighbourhood rather than in a resort. It is excellent for a group of friends or a family with plenty of space to spread out and a great deck and pool in a very private and lush backyard. The on site caretaker is charming and is always around to assist and keep an eye on the guests and the house. The house is within short walking distance of a market and several restaurants and taxi's are easy to catch near the market as is the bus.We had a group of 5 who stayed for a week without a car and did not need one at all. The tour groups that took us on out on adventures where all very service oriented, on time, reasonably priced and fun. The house is top quality and the area offers variety in activities and will have some of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see and some of the best tasting fish and coffee ever. Try the zip line adventure, sunset cruise, mangrove swap tour and national park tour and just relaxing on the pool deck. Hope to get back one day!

  This is a great place to stay. We stay here often and just love this home. Pictures do not do it justice. I love the privacy of the pool area... The house is a GREAT VALUE!!!! Sleeps 6 in beds... 2 more on sofas. The huge bedrooms and king beds are a great place to sleep... The house is luxurious and well equipped. You can easily prepare meals in... or head out to all the great restaurants in the area. Close to everything. If you are driving there is secured parking... Not driving... hop on the bus for about 25 cents to take you to the beach if you are not up for a beautiful walk. Guard Don Antonio is an amazing guy! His 2 dogs are great for patrolling the area as 4 extra eyes for Don Antonio. Super comfortable, Super Private, Super Fun and Super Safe!!! 5 stars from me. You can not get this anywhere else for this price. Enjoy your stay!!! Canadian who loves the beach.
