Me and my team where headed for St. Anthony's Triathlon and we decided to rent a house for the weekend. We were really surprised with the house! It had everything!!! Internet, HD TV, silverware, washer/dryer, towels, etc, etc!!! It even had some food on the fridge! It had a really cozy BBQ place, and an awesome pool! (plus a turtle pet!!!). We were really sad we couldn't enjoy the house longer, since we were more in a racing mode than anything else.

Perfect place to come home to!

Guest: Karen T (Regina, Saskatchewan)
Date of Stay: 03/06/12 Review Submitted: 03/17/12

This was our first time using VRBO and we were very pleased. The owner of this property Robert K. was very efficient in responding to questions, providing local information and ensuring our comfort at the home without being intrusive. The place was perfect to allow everyone a space indoors and out. Gardens are amazing with the pool - lots of room for everyone to relax. Turtle was a lot of fun, even for the adults! Geckos galore for interest too. Beds and pillow options very comfortable. Bedrooms and main living area smaller than they appear in the photo BUT very comfortable with a fantastic decor, large screen tvs and well stocked kitchen. Everything was very clean. Large washer and dryer were very convenient. We would not hesitate to stay at this home in the future!

Romantic getaway

Guest: Balto (Boston)
Date of Stay: 01/08/12 Review Submitted: 02/02/12

My husband and I stayed at this home the week of Jan.13th,2012. We thought the property was clean, had everything that was advertised, and all the comforts of our own home. The home was warm and inviting and everything we needed was there. We enjoyed the out door space very much. The back yard/pool area was an oasis with out door speakers to play music. not a bad selection of music on CD. The home owner called the second day to check in to make sure all was well. A nice touch. We would return to this property in the future and recomend it to our friends as well.

Yes. Gorgeous. Tropical. Tranquil. This is the absolute BARGIN of all VRBOs!! A beautiful, beautiful home filled with absolutely everything you will need for your vacation. Trust me: you will NOT find a nicer host, a more comfortable home, or a better "Get away from it all" spot. We spent our Thanksgiving with friends here, and the kitchen had everything one could ever need to keep even the fussiest of chefs happy. You will LOVE this home, and the tranquil yard/pool/cabana/pond..........

I was skeptical that this place wouldn't live up to all the reviews and pictures, and the truth is, it's even better in person! Not only is it ideally located and beautiful inside and out, we were surprised at how kid-friendly it was for us, which was a huge bonus! We have 4-year old twins who were super excited to see a library of kid's books, videos and board games not to mention the pool and beach toys available for our use. Really made traveling with little ones easy and special for us all. Brand new kitchen made cooking enjoyable and easy as well. Thank you, Robb, for being such an incredible host! It was GREAT!

The description of this house is very accurate. The pictures are great but being there in person is even better. We were on a "girls" get away and they only thing we would have done different is...we would have stayed longer! Very relaxing...listening to the waterfall, lounging around the pool, ......we had everything we needed and then some. Robb is so nice and helpful - even called us after our first day to make sure everything was ok. Location is nice...within minutes of beaches, restraunts, shopping. (What else do you really need?)

My husband and I scheduled a last minute getaway and we truly lucked out in finding this beautiful house to rent for a few days. We enjoyed every minute of our stay - the interior and exterior of the house are truly spectacular and welcoming in every way. The house was immaculate and the owner has literally thought of every amenity that might make your stay that much more comfortable and fun. It was close proximity to everything we wanted to do, and Robb's map made finding things SO simple. I really don't have enough great things to say about our visit. We will definitly be returning as soon as possible - I can't imagine a better place to spend a vacation.

This home is truly accessible to all of West and Central Florida Penisula. The home itself is warm and welcoming. All amenities are as described or better than described. It is a quiet neighborhood with access to many local eateries, beaches and amusement areas. We were 20 minutes from Tropicana Field and 30 minutes from Tampa International Airport. Words cannot describe how happy we, as a family, were with these accomodations. The pool, video gaming system, books and board games were enjoyed by all. Outside: many quiet areas to relax. And Boris (Turtle) was a hit with the kids. Many thanks to our gracious host, Mr. Robert Kursch. Oh and as promised, The Lo Mein and Fried Rice at the GREAT WALL are in our opinion the best in Gulfport. (Only fried rice and lo mein we ate).

Robb's house has a wonderfully landscaped exterior and exquistely designed interior. No expense has been spared to offer his guests a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Robb provides everything needed for an absolute worry free vacation from beach chairs and toys to blue ray movies for a cozy family evening. Having 3 children plus my grandmother with us, it was nice to only have to pack clothes knowing that Robb's setup caters to everyone of all ages. We took advantage of Robb's restaurant recommendations and enjoyed the great St. Pete beaches and local activities. I understand why Robb has so many return guests, as we will become one ourselves. The only warning I have is is you will have to book early! Thanks for everything Robb!

Robb's home is truely a piece of heaven here on earth. The lush garden and pool area is a tropical Oasis. Everything that you could think of is at hand. The home is warm and inviting, wonderfully decorated, and emaculate. It comes with all the modern conveniences. It's central to most major attractions and a few minutes from white sand filled beaches. Robb is a wonderful host and ensures that his guests are well taken care of. He is a very warm and caring person. We had one of the best vacations. And we can't wait to come back next year to this wonderful Oasis. We highly recommend Robb's home for a vacation. Thanks Robb for allowing us to share your special home.

We can only reiterate all the positive comments on the website regarding Robb's house. The house and the garden were even better than the description. We loved the garden which accommodated the needs of all whether worshippers of the sun or those who loved the shade and of course Boris was a big hit! Inside was really homely with everything one could possibly need. Having been visiting the area regularly for the past 4 years we just wish we had come across Robb's house sooner.

We stayed 4/12-19/10. Robbs's house was just as described! He was a gracious host and helpful about what to see in the area. The amenities were plentiful! You do not need to bring anything except clothes! The pool area was peaceful but also fun for the kids. The privacy is great! Feeding Boris the turtle daily was our kids' highlight! The house is well positioned in St. Pete's and close to everything. PJ's restaurant was one of our favorites! I would certainly recommend this VRBO to any friends and family and will keep Robb in mind if we are ever in the area again! Thanks Robb, for being so gracios and sharing your beautiful home with others! Staying in your home felt like home to us!

I visited this property in early March. Weather cooperated most of the time, but had it rained the entire time, it would not have mattered. This property has a great "walk in I'm home" feel. Beautifully maintained and comfortable to say the least. It was so important to have a vacation, and this was the place. The minute you walk in, you wonder why don't I live here. Robert has everything thought out to a tee and will make sure things stay that way. There is no doubt in my mind that this is a great place to stay if you're going to be in this part of Florida. Thank you for such a pleasant experience.

This is a wonderful home - all demands and stresses just slip away as you enjoy the landscaped back yard. listening to the water fountains and indulging in your favorite book. We appreciated all the efforts exerted to make the house welcoming and attractive- beautiful comforters, pillows, couches, rugs, paintings and tons of good reading materials. Many lovely personal touches reflecting an eclectic accumulation of travel memorablia and significant respect by the homeowner for the renter's desire to treat his property well. He even offers a big screen TV and easy computer access. We really do not recommend you go there in February as we now want to do so for the whole month!

We stayed in Robert's home over Christmas 2009. It was indeed as described: The house was tastefully furnished, had some wonderful art, great T.V., clean, comfortable, nice showers and baths, and wonderful for hosting friends and family. While we were there, we had family come and visit. There are plenty of lovely sitting areas around the pool. He has a stereo system that makes the place even more festive. I highly recommend this home for a vacation stay. I thought it was too good to be true when I read the reviews, but it was indeed a fine place to stay. Living there for a few days was a blessing to me. Chris

We had an excellent stay in the house. Robb was very helpful overall. We arrived 4 hours later than expected, but he met us at the house with the lights on and showed us where everything was. The furnishing and amenties in the house were wonderful - we enjoyed grilling outside, using the WiFi, and watching some Blu-ray. The neighborhood is mostly residential so it's quiet, and the Pinellas Trail bike/jogging path is 5 min away. There is enough space to entertain the rest of our family (14 people) both inside and outside. We brought our dogs with us and the pool/patio area is well fenced. There is an additional, fenced area for dog 'business' which also allows you to separate the pets if needed. Overall, a comfortable, well-appointed house with just about everything you could want. We wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely try to stay here the next time we visit St. Pete.

Robb's home was everything we had hoped it would be. The location was perfect. The beach was close so it was easy for my son and his friend to be able to go everyday. I chose to stay back and relax at the beautiful pool which was so relaxing. You could also listen to music and relax in one of the many areas around the pool. Boris the turtle enjoys being fed as well. There are restaurants and shopping close by. We spent a lot of time at Treasure Island that has shops and lots of good food. The home was very clean and beautiful just like the pictures. The master bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. I would definitively recommend this vacation get away to everyone. We can't wait to book for next year. Robb is a very genuine person and very willing to assist in anything you may need.

This house was absolutely wonderful for our needs. We have a toddler and a relative who drove to meet us, so we had a variety of needs. The house is well-appointed: flat-screen televisions in every room, a computer for internet access, which really came in handy, all the amenities you would need, well-appointed kitchen and bath amenities. The linens were lovely and the best part was the magnificent beds! They were solidly built and all had top-of-the-line mattresses and pillows. Although the weather was unusually cold when we stayed and we could not use the pool, we enjoyed looking at the perfectly designed yard. The plants are kept healthy, nothing disheveled, plenty of seating and comfortable niches throughout the yard. The owner, Robb, couldn't be more accommodating and pleasant, going out of his way to return a valuable item we left at his house immediately, among other things. Great value for such nice accommodations.

Robb is the nicest person we have met, it is ALOT more than just a business to him, he is a genuine gentleman (bloody rare these days!!). In all honesty only 1 word can describe Robbs house - EXCELLENT! We will definately be back soon. Angie

Date of Arrival : May 3, 2008 Name on Contract : Michelle Tolson Review Rating : 5/5 "Tropical Tranquil Retreat" "This was my first experience vacationing at a home versus staying at 3-5 star hotels, and this place was awesome! The property is so beautiful with its tranquil waterfall, lush greenery, and ample outdoor seating. The pool was clean, as was the entire property. While I was partial to the outdoors, the indoors were immaculate and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. Definite care was given to details of comfort, such as internet access, provided reading material, board games, and a high-definition TV with a small selection of DVD titles. You can bring your own CDs to listen to while relaxing outside by the pool. And it really is only 2 miles from the beach! I was traveling with teenagers, and they loved this place. We did not stay long enough to explore all the area had to offer, but we did eat at a very good seafood/other restaurant called Leverocks. All in all, don't hesitate to book this place for your stay in the St. Petersburg area. The owner is very friendly and obviously proud of his home, given the attention that has been taken to keep it so beautiful. The pictures are exactly how this place looks. We were fortunate to have stumbled upon this listing and hope to come back some day! "

What a house! What a garden! It's hard to put into words how wonderful this place is. Robb is the nicest person: friendly, helpful and very easy-going. His home is not only outfitted with everything you might need on vacation, but is also the coziest, cleanest home you could stay in. His artwork (his own beautiful creations and also collections from friends and other artists) is beautiful, decorations warm and inviting, furniture and beds very comfortable, kitchen supplies ample and the outdoor landscaping is like entering a dream world. When you are inside the house, your every need is satisfied and when you are outside, it's like coming home to nature and to life. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better place- nor could we have dreamed up a better place than this for our family of 4 (2 adults, a 3 year old and 7 month old). Robb does a great job of keeping this place looking beautiful and is just a phone call away if you have any questions. He recommended some great restaurants, a close beach and a host of other places to see while in the area. We visited the Tampa aquarium, with interesting exhibits and water habitats that are at a low level and up close for children and adults to see. The beach in Gulfport has some interesting shops and restaurants. The main drag in Gulfport is a quiet, cozy place to walk and enjoy the shops any time of day. Tarpon Springs is a great place to visit and learn about sponge diving and shell harvesting (though it took an hour or so to get up there.) The cuban place just down Gulfport Blvd was delicious. We mostly hung out around the house and enjoyed the gorgeous surroundings both inside and out. We will be recommending this house to our friends and anyone who is looking for a wonderful place to stay while in St. Petersburg area! We hope to have the chance to visit Robb and his fantastic get-away again in the future.

LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN! Westfield, Ma. USA. Date Submitted: March 20, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008 The home was just as advertised. Comfortable, well decorated, convenient, tranquil, just as green and colorful outside as it is pictured. You could be comfortable and entertained without ever leaving the house. TV's - books-games-feeding Boris the pond turtle- full kitchen- laundry-a great place for a family of any age. We were content just sitting by the pool reading, listening to music, and soaking up the sunshine so lacking in our own New England area home. Great restaurants of many flavors are nearby. Two we would recommend and certainly revisit are Habana Cafe, sangria, great food, bright decor. Mid Peninsula seafood, fabulous fried fish and oh so casual and comfortable. Coming from the north we tried to do as many outside activities as we could in order to soak up the sunshine. Marie Selby Orchid Gardens, was beautiful, and Jungleland, small but pleasant nonetheless(both in Sarasota)Florida Botanical Gardens and Heritage Village in Largo gave us a wonderful and informative walk outside and a small art museum inside. We also did the Dali Museum, be sure to look for dollar off coupons in tourist pamphlets. I'm sure you will find activities to suit every age and taste all within driving distance of this comfortable house. We were unfortunately only there for a week and could not do all we had hoped. The owner of the home was personable and helpful and even stayed very late to welcome us even though our plane was delayed. This was our first time renting a house for vacation and our experience will certainly cause us to explore this arrangement for vacation again. Cozier than a hotel even if we did have to cook our own breakfast and make the bed. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone.

What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a vacation! We had a great time spending hour after hour in the beautiful fenced-in yard, whether we were swimming, sunbathing, eating, or reading a book. Very quiet and peaceful. The kids loved feeding the turtle in the waterfall pond! The interior of the house worked just fine for us, three adults and two teenagers. The large screen TV in the living room was a hit each evening. Having internet access on the computer kept us in touch. The conveniences of having a little store just a block away, along with a full service grocery store only about three minutes from the house and a nice shopping mall less than ten minutes away, were just a few of the little extras that made our vacation so enjoyable. We had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend this house for your vacation!

We stayed at Robert's home last year for a friends and family spring break. After experiencing another home for a west coast vacation this year, I have even greater appeciation for Robert's level of readiness for guests. We had a spectacular vacation at his lovely home last year. It is very well decorated, visually interesting at every turn. He has certainly thought of every need a traveler would have, fully equipping the house, including the kitchen. His level of readiness for guests creates the best experience.

We were content just sitting by the pool reading, listening to music, and soaking up the sunshine so lacking in our own New England area home. Great restaurants of many flavors are nearby. Two we would recommed and certainly revisit are Habana Cafe, sangria, great food, bright decor. Mid Peninsula seafood, fabulous fried fish and oh so casual and comfortable. Coming from the north we tried to do as many outside activities as we could in order to soak up the sunshine. Marie Selby Orchid Gardens, was beautiful, and Jungleland, small but pleasant nontheless(both in Sarasota)Florida Botanical Gardens and Heritage Village in Largo gave us a wonderful and informative walk outside and a small art museum inside. We also did the Dali Museum, be sure to look for dollar off coupons in tourist pamphlets. I'm sure you will find activities to suit every age and taste all within driving distance of this comfortable house. We were unfortunatley only there for a week and could not do all we had hoped. We would certainly recommed this property to anyone.
