Relive Friday Harbor's colorful past and experience a bit of history by staying in our newly renovated suite, in the heart of downtown Friday Harbor. Located within easy walking distance to the ferry dock. In town, so very close to all the activities and restaurants Friday Harbor has to offer, including whale watching and sea kayak tours which depart from Friday Harbor. Surrounded by lovely gardens, the suite in our Historic Home has a cozy ambiance with comfortable furnishings, gas fireplaces and period décor. It has a spacious outside deck/balcony, full kitchen, bathroom and washer/dryer. The suite is comfortably furnished and with a nod to some of Friday Harbor's rich historical past. Our available suite is in the Carter House (Green House) 470 Argyle Avenue. Built in 1911 by Launor Benjamin Carter as a wedding present for his son Alvia and his family. The family remained in the house until 1964. Suite # 470B Is a 2nd floor suite, the living room with a hide abed and propane fireplace, opens up to a huge deck with outdoor furniture and bar bq. It faces west for those lovely sunset evenings. It boasts one large bedroom with an iron sleigh queen bed and electric fireplace. The full bath includes the restored original claw foot tub. There is a charming dining nook in the full kitchen. All appliances including a Washer/Dryer are included.
