About Alysons:
Tucked in the rolling hillsides of the Connecticut Valley, Alyson’s Orchard is your private getaway - any time and any season. Alyson’s, where it’s your choice to do it all, or do nothing at all while enjoying our distinct accommodations appointed in the traditional rustic manner of New Hampshire country living. We offer three unique lodging experiences set in the middle of our acclaimed orchards where we have perfected the use of Integrated Crop Management, an environmentally friendly agricultural technique that requires vigilant supervision of the farms’ delicate ecosystem.
Enjoy the sweet smell of the morning air with a walk in our renowned orchards and close the day with a spectacular setting sun gracefully bowing behind the Green Mountains. Painters, writers, and composers have been coming here for years for some serious work time with their muse, and lovers have been tying the knot in this idyllic setting since 1987.
History Alyson's:
Bob and Susan Jasse have a life long love of good food, good wine, good company and beauty of the New Hampshire countryside. Bob discovered the property flying over the region on his way to a skiing and hiking holiday with his family. Struck by the setting’s beauty and sophisticated ecosystem, the former biologist and career entrepreneur immediately understood the opportunity he saw below. First established as a family retreat, Alyson’s has evolved over the years into a full working farm and orchard as well as a lodging and event center hosting hundreds of weddings, reunions and corporate retreats, all carefully planned and executed to maximize guest comfort within the natural, sustainable environment of the property.
Alyson’s remains the only property in the area with access for Class aircraft and helicopters. That landing strip is available for use with prior clearance. Just call and we’ll help make the proper arrangements.
The Seasons:
Spring;Laden with Blossoms, preview of the fall’s harvest can be found on our heirloom apple, and peach trees.
Summers; Legendary for warm days & cool nights & Alyson’s explodes with the sights & sounds of nature. June sees spring’s tadpoles turned to frogs singing nightly serenades & the annual two week visit of firefly’s turns the orchard into the best light show in nature. Our ponds have warmed to perfection by July & there’s nothing quite like a cool dip in the middle of a hot day. The lush grounds of the orchard are a picnicking paradise. Have a long lunch in the shade of a large tree while the kids build sand castles & chase baby frogs across the grass.
