Delightful furnished lake house nestled in a very peaceful setting with approx 150 ft of waterfront footage.THIS is the place for winter snowbirds and/or lake enthusiast.
Spacious home with approx 2112 sq ft with loft upstairs (great place for the kids to hang out). Total beds sleep 10 with 2 queens, 1 sofa sleeper/double and 4 twins-plenty of room for additional air matress, cots, etc (not included with rental). Views of the lake and large grassed back yard from every room. Decking off entire back of home and extra large windows to take it all in. Home sits on three lots making this the place for your family and friends to gather, spread out and enjoy each other and the lake. We are pet friendly and have a fully fenced yard (except at the waters edge) making it a good place to bring the furry friends along for the all the festivities.
Bring the RV, boat and trailer-extra parking to left of property on a vacant gated lot. Boat slip right out your back door-public park with boat ramp steps away from home for additional options to lake access. Great opportunity to be right on the coveted and controlled level Lake LBJ.
The lake is a long and pretty lake with many coves to explore. From the lake house you can boat East to the Wirtz Dam, or South to Horseshoe Bay, or go North to Kingsland then go West and explore the Llano River. If you do not have a boat or personal watercraft, you can rent one locally.
The quaint town of Marble Falls is ten minutes away, with shopping, movies, restaurants, spas, gym, HEB (grocery), Wal-Mart, and many more amenities to take advantage of.
LOCATION: 508 Sherwood Forest Dr in Granite Shoals in the middle of the stunning Texas Hill Country is only 60 miles and 55 minutes from the Austin airport, 90 miles and 90 minutes north of San Antonio and about 200 miles and a four hour drive South from Dallas/Fort Worth and West Northwest of Houston.
Directions from Marble Falls (intersection of 281/1431-Take 1431 West, Left on Prairie Creek in Granite Shoals (about 1/2 way through this little town), take all the way to end, Right at Y on Sherwood Forest, make first left on Sherwood Forest(again), home on left.

This was a great way to spend our Thanksgiving. We had four adults, two children and two dogs - everyone had a blast. There were boat ties in front of the house so you can leave your boat in the water. The kitchen was nicely stocked (bring extra stuff if you plan to bake). The house was comfortable and nicely decorated. The neighbors were super friendly and had the cutest dogs. The town is so close which was nice for our million trips to HEB for the little things we forgot. The dogs really appreciated the fully fenced yard so they could run free like they aren't able to in our backyard at home. Highly recommended for a relaxing, fun filled, family friendly trip.

Our family of 4 stayed at this quaint little lake house for 6 nights. It was a great week! The home is old, but has been updated and is very clean and well-maintained. My girls LOVED the loft area - it was their very own, however, it does get quite warm up there. The kitchen was stocked pretty well with all the necessities, although, we didn't do much cooking. We have a pontoon boat that we were able to dock right by the back yard. Once you get used to the channel, knowing the high spots, it's pretty easy to drive the boat through the channel to the main part of the lake. Lake LBJ is beautiful! It was pretty quiet during the week, but got busier on the weekend. The backyard water area is great for fishing too! Bring bread as there are a family of ducks & geese that live in that area. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly too, and we definitely felt right at home! Our small dog had a blast with the big yard, as did my girls, who loved to run around barefoot. There are dogs next door, but they were very sweet and didn't bark much at all. There is a playground across the channel, but it's just a short walk from the house (if you don't want to swim across). Marble Falls is just 10 minutes down the road, so you are convenient to groceries and restaurants. Overall, it was a GREAT vacation spot, and we will DEFINITELY be back!

We stayed here with 4-8 people for a 3-day weekend. The property manager was kind enough to give us an extended check out time. We chose this place for a few reasons: 1) They allow pets. 2) RV parking. What we liked: The yard was beautiful, large - probably 2-3 lot size. It has a 4' fence all the way around it. It is absolutely excellent for pets and small children. The yard was St. Augustine, well maintained - not bug ridden or weed ridden. The side of the house has a blackberry bush and mulberry tree that probably fruit in the appropriate season. The house was clean. It's one of the nicer homes in the immediate block. It's setup with a laminate floor that simulates wood, again probably great for a lake rental property. Rooms were well sized, clean, bathrooms clean. There is a loft area that had fold out beds that would sleep another 2-3 people. Separate HVAC systems. The house could use some improvements, but appears to be a full time rental and isn't bad. Other experiences: The home is lakefront, but is on a the channel system of lake LBJ. We brought a 23' ski boat and a jetski. I cannot recommend trying to get to the main body of the lake without some instructions from locals. Literally we grounded the boat coming off the ramp several times until we found the correct way around the shallow water. Eventually, I simply pulled the boat through the channel until we found the right path. The channel system provides great protection against waves and wind. There are tie-ups in front of the house. There is a ledge at the lake and no easy in/out access - not great for swimming. Good for boating. Although there is a boat slip, it's far to small for anything short of a very moderately sized fishing boat. There is no lift. There is a boat ramp across the street. Neighbors were very friendly, maybe surprising for this being a short term rental. Lots of parking. I was told that there is RV parking on the side. There is 15A power, water, and what looks like a sewer connection, but it is VERY difficult to pull anything but a short RV into the side yard through the gate. The RV parking did not work for us with a 28' RV. What we didn't like: Being across the street from the park, we noticed frequent PD patrols. We did note some activity that was concerning, but these activities did not impact our rental time there other than observing activities late at night.

The pictures of this home do not do it justice! We just spent a week here with our three children and in-laws. The two bedrooms were very spacious and the loft was great for our boys! We were able to eat in the entire time because the kitchen was equipped great! Variety of pots, pans, bowls, other cookware, etc. The living room, kitchen and eating area are also very spacious ~ plenty of room for our family of 8. While our ski boat didn't fit in the boat lift (we were informed of this before renting), we had no troubles at all keeping the boat at the day-dock. There were plenty of cleats and the channel was very calm. The porch is large with a sitting area and the yard is also huge. A great plus with small children that love to run and play... We can't wait to come back and stay here again!! P.S. There is a huge blackberry bush on the side of the yard. Make sure you bring some Blue Bell ice cream and a pie recipe!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend we recently spent here. We had 6 women together for a girls weekend and it was perfect. It would also be great for a family (or even two). The kitchen is spacious and the home is well equipped with a nice deck to enjoy the lake and best of all, the house was clean! We were able to pull the boat right up to the back of the house and tie up with no worries about rough water. The property owner was awesome and very helpful. We will definitely consider this house again in the future!
