My parents, husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property for tree peeping season! The rental property has spacious rooms which are nicely decorated. The master bedroom was wonderful with the fireplace for the cool evenings which we made use of. We also made use of the game room on the lowest level - playing rounds of pool a few nights. The location is fantastic with its relaxing and easy walk to downtown. This was our first trip to Stowe and we'll definitely be back. It's also an easy drive to Burlington and Shelburne Farms which was a plus for us. Dining experiences in Stowe were enjoyable - main highlights were Gracie's, Crop Bistro and Trapp Family Lodge.

Fabulous 25th Anniversary

You won't be disappointed if you stay at this condo. We highly recommend it. Four of us stayed at this gorgeous condo in Stowe Village to celebrate our 25th anniversaries. Though the condo can comfortably accommodate eight people, it's the perfect place for two couples thanks to the two bedrooms with queen or king beds and private bathrooms. The location is ideal if you want to walk to everything in the Village. The home is immaculate, well-appointed and equipped with everything you need. The lower level is a game room with pool table, bar, sleep sofa, bathroom and laundry. We loved dinner at Michael's on the Hill in Waterbury for our anniversary celebration dinner. Ask to sit in the wrap around enclosed porch. Harrison's in the Village was very good. We sat outdoors. The highlight of our trip was ziplining at Arbor Trek located at Smuggler's Notch. What a blast. And the Ben and Jerry's tour was well-worth the $4 admission.

Immaculate luxury

Accomodations were superb. Nicer than pictures can show, beautifully decorated with high end features for a rental. Everything in Stowe was easily walkable. Highly recommend Stowe and the Stowe Village Hideaway.

Fantastic July family week

We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 2 children (13 & 10) in mid July and had a wonderful week. The property is really well kept and offered everything we could have wanted, in fact more as we didn't even get to use all the bathrooms! Features such as the pool table and the dvd library were useful extra entertainment. The house is in very good condition and was meticulously prepared for our arrival, spotlessly clean, and an absolute joy to live in for the week. We did quite a lot of self catering and the kitchen is really well equipped. There are two supermarkets in town for all provisions, so it really is easy. The walk into Stowe must be all of three minutes, so for those wanting to eat in town it really is no effort, and a short car journey to other restaurants on the other side of town I will absolutely recommend this property to friends heading for Vermont, Stowe is a lovely location, and I will certainly think about returning to visit in winter This property really helped make our vacation a thoroughly enjoyable time. For those staying in the summer, we thoroughly recommend the recreation path as a bike trail and a place to find to swim in the river, fishing trips and kayaking on the nearby reservoir, a visit to the cider producer and of course Ben & Jerry's Thanks a lot!

We stayed at this beautiful property for a family event. There were 7 of us that slept comfortably in this home. We have traveled all over the world and were thrilled by the well maintained accommodations. The kitchen was perfect for our family entertaining as well as the downstairs pool table/bar area. Walk-able to down town. Sylvia, the owner, was just lovely to deal with. I cannot recommend this home enough. We will definitely be back.

My best VRBO experience to date!! I have always had a good experience with this site but this place was just perfect. It was bigger & nicer than the photos!! It has everything you could want in a house. The house is decorated & furnished beautifully! The game room was great to have. Everything was very easy to find and use (this can be a problem in some rentals). The location was truly fantastic. Close to all. As an added bonus the owner & staff were easy to contact & prompt. As well as being nothing but helpful & sweet. Everyone was impressed when walking in to the place and sad to leave. And to top it off we had a huge snow dump and some great powder days on the mountain. Just great to watch the snow coming down by the gas fireplace with a glass of vino. ALL OF US LOVED THE HOUSE. THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY IN STOWE...... Thank you so much!!!

It was a most amazing vacation and place to stay. Our accommodations had everything we could want and more. It was beautifully decorated, had every imaginable amenity with a perfect location for us. A short ride to the mountain and centrally located in the most picturesque village one could imagine. It was magical !

The Stowe Village Hideaway is a great home to take the family in Stowe. The home is much bigger than the two bedrooms states. We have been going there for over six years and each time find it more enchanting. The location, and accommodations are first class. I would strongly recommend this home to anyone.

We spent 4 nights in Stowe for summer vacation with our 5-year old son and 7-year old daughter. The whole experience greatly exceeded our expectations. As first-time visitors to Stowe, we weren't' sure about whether to stay at the Lodge or in town. After visiting during the summer, there was no contest. The town of Stowe is absolutely beautiful and has far more activities and restaurants than the resort. The townhouse is centrally located and within walking distance to everything. The condo itself is enormous, with more than enough space for our 4-person family. The children were thrilled at every turn. Also there were amazing hikes close by. Plus ice cream and good restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect Stowe Getaway

My family and I just returned from a beautiful long weekend in Stowe Vt. Stowe Village Hideaway (VBRO #160921) was the perfect place to stay for my wife and I and our 2 children. It's within walking distance to town, shopping and restaurants. It's beautifully decorated and has has everything you need. The home is so nice that we choose to stay in 1 night and have pizza while playing pool and watching the playoffs on a nice flatscreen TV - on the other nights we made sure we where back early for more of the same. Given the number of rooms, tv's, and fireplaces it was easy to steal a few minutes of quiet time to! We travel a lot and stay in 5 star accomadations - Stowe Village Hideaway gets a 5+ from our family! We'll be back!

A group of family and friends stayed at this townhouse for 4 nights from Sunday, Jan. 10th through Thursday. The townhouse was very easy to get to right in the Village of Stowe off Rt. 100. The house was perfectly clean, ample room to accomodate 9 people with TV's in all rooms. We skiied at Mt. Stowe and Smugglers Notch which was only 30 minutes away. The townhouse kitchen was equipped with all the modern appliances we could ask for. We stopped by the town supermarket and picked up a few steaks to barbque and after dinner we played a few games of pool and ended a perfect evening. The townhouse had everything we could ask for. Our group has made many trips to Vermont for skiing and we all agreed that this was the best house we ever rented. The owner was very agreeable to work with and all our questions were answered. It was a extremely cold week and some of the group decided not to ski one day. The townhouse was a short walk to the center of the town that included a number of fine restaurants and various stores. They also visited the Cider Mill and Stowe Spa which were all within a 15 minute car ride.

Very new, very nice condo, lot's of space. Pool table is great as is the entertainment system, good collection of DVDs to play. Nice location by town.

Great Stowe Townhome for Green Mountain Vt Getaway

I stayed at this townhouse in Stowe as part of the HomeAway Roadtrip in September 2009 (see blog.homeaway.com/stowe-vermont-townhouse-rental for a video). The location of this vacation rental is excellent. The route to the townhouse made it seem like we were heading away from downtown Stowe, but it is actually located a short walk (really, 2 or 3 minutes) from the main street in Stowe. So it's an absolutely perfect location to enjoy the restaurants and shops of downtown Stowe. When we arrived, we were easily able to get into the property. It was perfectly clean inside and there were little Post-it notes on the appliances and areas that had special instructions. Those details were not only thoughtful but helpful, adding an extra sense of comfort before we had even unpacked. While the photos on this listing are good, this is a case where the property was even nicer than it seemed. The carpets and furniture were very comfortable. The lighting added a nice sense of warmth in each room. And each room felt spacious. The master suite was excellent with a high bed that had a firm mattress. Because we were on the HomeAway Roadtrip, we didn't have a typical vacation rental stay. We were only in the townhouse for one night, so we didn't make use of all the amenities. We didn't cook that night (we visited a restaurant off Main Street), but we did do laundry, use the TV and get some work done. Had we stayed longer, we definitely would have used the pool table. And If I go back, I would looked forward to a few rounds of pool in the finished basement. We were at the townhouse at just about the perfect time of year (if you're not planning to ski). The foliage wasn't quite at peak, but it was close, so the scenery was ideal. Being late September in Vermont, the weather was also excellent: sunny during the day and clear and crisp at night. I would definitely recommend renting this Stowe townhouse whether for two people or a larger group. And I will definitely consider renting it if I plan a trip back to Stowe or northern Vermont.

We went up for a long weekend with 9 women to celebrate a 40th birthday. The condo was absolutely beautiful and very spacious. I would recommend it to anyone!!

This is my second time renting the Stowe Village Hideaway, and this time around, I couldn't wait to share this home with my friends! We rented the home over New Years and all had a fabulous time. After a day on the slopes, there is nothing lovelier than coming home to this gem! Stowe's charm is unparalleled this time of year and we can not wait to return. And soon!

This townhome was absolutely perfect for our family of 5 over the Christmas holiday! Very clean and up-to-date! The ameniteis were well thought out, and we didn't need to get anything except food and drinks! The location was just right--truly in the heart of Stowe--walking distance to most everything! Our favorite part of the trip was snow tubing down the hill, which was located just across the street! We hope to make our Stowe Vaction a new, holiday tradition! I would highly recommend this rental property! Santa even visits here!!

I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with a trip up to Stowe, and what a surprise it was! We loved staying in Stowe and took full advantage of all that it has to offer. The house was so lovely and was so comfortable coming home to after an activity filled-day. We could not have asked for more!

A beautiful retreat in the heart of Stowe. Lots of ooohs and ahhs for the interior design, but it is wonderfully snug and comfy. There were 4 of us staying for a family wedding. Extended family and friends were able to stop by and visit and relax between activities. It was fun to be within walking distance of great shops and restaurants. I've only been to Stowe during ski season up until now. It is a terrific place in the summer too! We loved the bike path, and my husband really enjoyed some great golf. I definitely recommend to the Stowe Village Hideaway for any time of year! The owner was extremely friendly and accomodating.

My family spent a long weekend here to attend my daughter's wedding. When we stepped inside for the first time, we were stunned. I have never seen such a beautifully furnished rental property. The kitchen was furnished with everything you could possibly need. My son is a chef and he served a formal 7 course plated dinner for 8 people and had no trouble finding enough pots, pans, dishes, wine glasses, etc. The bedrooms each have private baths and the mattresses were extremely comfortable. The pool table kept my kids busy for hours. I would recommend this house to anyone. It is impossible not to enjoy it.

Summer in Stowe

The Stowe Village vacation home exceeded our expectations in every way. The kitchen was fabulous with granite counters, first-class appliances and lots of seating. The furnishings, decorations and linens were all new and luxurious. There are four televisions including a 42" plasma home theater in the downstairs game room. The master suite is enormous with a whirlpool tub and huge closet. The location was ideal for our summer visit with kids as we rented bikes from First Treks just a few blocks away. We made several trips along the Rec Path which begins behind the Community Church on Main Street. The nearby school has a playground and sports fields and the library is also just blocks away. We also biked to the Swimming Hole indoor pool along the path. The owner was very responsive and was wonderful to work with. A nice high-chair and pack-and-play were provided for our 1 year-old. There was also a barbecue grill with a full tank of gas. We would highly recommend this vacation home.

Paradise in a Winter Wonderland

The photos and description do not do this justice. Nestled in the charming village of Stowe, it is close to everything you could need or want. Everything is brand new - we lacked for nothing. Kitchen was fabulous (there was even an espresso pot) for making breakfast, but Swiss fondue or the local inn were just steps away. There is a bus to Mt. Mansfield skiing that stops almost at the door. Highly recomended. We would definitely rent again.

Being from the midwest, my family and I have always wanted to see the beautiful New England fall foliage. I spent many hours researching lodging options in New England. I had never used HomeAway before, but from the pictures and description, the condo looked perfect. Once we arrived, the condo was even more beautiful than the pictures. It's spacious, warm and cozy. A wonderful place to come home to each day. Everything (furnishings, linens, etc) is top quality and spotlessly clean. The location in Stowe is perfect; just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. And the owner is professional and easy to work with. She has gone out of her way to make sure the condo has everything you will need during your stay. We loved Stowe and the condo was one of the highlights of our trip. We hope to return again someday.
