If your summer vacation plans are between June 25 and 3 July, 13-16 July, or 23-31 Aug come stay at the Surf House we have openings. The Surf House is an 800sq foot beach bungalow across the street from Rio Del Mar State Beach. The Surf House was built in the early 40's for the guests of the Rio Del Mar Country Club. There are 2 bedrooms, plus a sleeping alcove in the living room. Master bedroom has a queen bed. Front bedroom has two twins. There is a trudle bed in the alcove that also serves as a couch during the day. One bathroom with shower. Full Kitchen & linens provided. Many of the original features of the house remain. There is a large deck off of the living room with a bar-be-cue and picnic table.
Rio Del Mar Beach is steps from the house. The beach is kid and dog friendly with miles of sand for walking and playing. Seabirds are abundant. Down the Beach is the USS Palo Alto and Seacliff State Park. If you don't like to get sand between your toes the view from the living room and deck make this ideal for your beach vacation. Watch the beach activities from the comfort of your living room through the large picture window or from the comfort of your deck chair.
The Palo Alto cement ship and the bluffs of Capitola can be seen from the living room and deck. The Surf House is just steps away from the beach Esplanade where you can find the Full of Beans Coffee House for your morning coffee and pastries, Pixie Deli for your lunch sandwiches, and Cafe Rio for fine evening dining. The Surf House is 5 minutes away from "antiquing" in Soquel and Aptos. Shopping and dining in Capitola is only 10 minutes north. Visit the redwoods or the Santa Cruz boardwalk in 15 minutes. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is 40 min south and San Francisco is 90 minutes north. |
