We stayed in the Little River House, a traditionally-decorated, small house that shares the grounds with the more contemporary cottages. It was absolutely perfect for our family of five (including three children between seven and twelve.) From TripAdvisor... The view from the deck was amazing. The kids loved the bunk beds, and the "built-in" queen was very comfortable and cozy. We all loved the down blankets and the gas fireplace. The kitchen was nicely stocked--it was great to be able to cook our own meals. We had been on a two week car trip around N. California, from Yosemite to Monterey, San Francisco and north to the Redwood forests. These cottages were our favorite part of the trip. When we go back, we'll probably go straight there. We loved the location--quiet and inviting, across the road from a nice little beach, just a couple miles from the village of Monterey. Next time we'll bring bikes and really explore the area. As our kids said, this is "one of the best places we've ever stayed." We could not recommend it more highly.
