It is near the Church of San Nicolo' dei Mendicoli, one of the oldest in Venice, and near the venerable school of Architecture at Universita' Ca' Foscari. Architect restored with careful attention to traditional Venetian materials. Entrance features a mosaic of 14th century marble. Beamed ceilings throughout the building help make staying in this house an authentic Venetian experience. Pieces from my painting and photography collection are on display.
The extremely quiet apartment occupies the entire 2nd floor of the building, providing a light and airy atmosphere with good cross ventilation. Two exquisite mosaic bathrooms include tub, shower, and bidet. The stainless steel/wood kitchen features a 19th century dining table and a great view of the campiello and local life that passes through it. The Master bedroom has two windows, double bed, wooden ceiling and large closet. The study/second bedroom is reached through heavy wooden double doors. It is an independent, very elegant room with desk, wardrobe and private entrance.
