Captivating Bali-Inspired Cottage Homestay
The Bali-inspired cottage is a haven of tranquility. The décor was carefully chosen to create the quiet space we love ourselves. There are several exotic antiques and pieces of art in the cottage – you might take time to lie back on the sofa one night to gaze awhile at the custom wooden Balinese ceiling panel. After a day at the beach with the sound of the surf or out doing activities, the cottage is a gentle and inviting place to reflect. The sound of the wind whispering through the bamboo grove has given many guests – not to mention us – true relaxation.
Enchanting Anini Beach – a very short walk
Anini Beach – Two and a half miles of pristine white sand and azure water. The trees bend over the calm lapping water at several places. Heaven! Lovers can lie on the sand and do what lovers do. Toddlers can sit at the water's edge without ever being knocked over by a big wave. You can watch the windsurfers out beyond the reef. Snorkel, swim, relax.

Our guests love falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and bamboo. It's a gentle lullaby that takes you off into dreamland. The cottage is freestanding and provides the much sought after seclusion of guests escaping the hustle of the mainland.

The cottage is larger than most island cottages with over 750 square feet of indoor living space. The living room is large, the bedroom is spacious and there is also the extra covered lanai with Futon for accommodating up to 4 people. There is a full kichen, washer / dryer, dishwasher, wireless broadband, TV, DVD & sound system.

My wife and I stayed at Bali Anini in early 2013. The accommodations were perfectly sized for the two of us - with a spacious open living room/kitchen, and a comfortable king size bed in the bedroom. We spent most of our time when at the cottage out on the screened-in lanai, a great place to drink coffee, play games and just relax. We also ate breakfast daily at the cottage. Overall, the place was clean, comfortable, and peaceful - having every reasonable amenity that we needed. Most importantly for us, we LOVED the location. We walked down the hill to Anini Beach several times. We were an easy 5 minute drive to Kilauea, where we enjoyed the Fish Market, the Healthy Hut, and hiking the tree plantations and community gardens behind the putt-putt golf, including the field-to-table Garden Cafe at the Common Ground (our favorite place we ate). To the west, we were 5 minutes from Princeville, where I golfed the top 100 Prince Course, and another several minutes to Hanalei and beautiful/quiet beaches on the bay and beyond! In the end, we loved the towns of Kilauea and Hanalei, and the restaurant/bars, hiking and beaches around both of them - and for very different reasons. Bali Anini Cottage was located perfectly to get to all of it and more on the North Shore.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Wonderful retreat. Great amenities, clean cabin. Love the Bali theme decor and wonderful screened porch. Friendly owners always concerned with our comfort. We have stayed here twice.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

The cottage is a HI version of our Santa Cruz cottage home and it was exactly what we were looking for. The bamboo and lush green landscaping were awesome. The cottage has all of the basic amenities (and then some!) and the decor is welcoming and local. The location was PERFECT for all we were focused to do...including running along the stretch of Anani Beach each morning, hiking the Napali Coast Trail, eating fresh sushi at Dolphin (numerous times), and chilling/boogie boarding on the amazing stretch of beach at Hanalei (and pigging out on Pat's fish taco truck). We will stay here again when we come back to Kauai next year and have recommended it already to friends when they ask about our vacation. Our friends recommended the cottage to us and we just booked it instantly when we heard about it.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
