This property is located in the Villa Nova neighborhood, which is on the northwest side of Ajijic. It is an easy, level, half-mile walk through the village to Ajijic's central plaza and is two blocks from the carretera, where there are buses to all nearby locations, including Guadalajara, and there is a bike path/sidewalk to various dining and shopping opportunities right in the neighborhood.
The Villa Nova neighborhood is a quiet, shady area just north (mountain side) of the carretera with plenty of street parking and strolling space. You will enjoy sitting on the front terazza/veranda overlooking the small sunny tropical garden and lawn and viewing the lake in the distance through the neighborhood's forest canopy of palm, ficus, Norfolk Island Pine and other tropical trees. While the village center is easily accessible, you will find various restaurants and shopping opportunities (a new supermarket has just opened nearby) right in the neighborhood.
The house itself is open plan, with a sunken living room. The kitchen has been recently remodeled with a new sink and recently purchased stove, refrigerator and microwave. Each of the two bedrooms has an en suite bath and a queen-size bed. Each room has sliding glass doors with easy access to the outside. Every door and window is secure, and each door has sliding security doors to use at your option. There is a television in the master bedroom that is connected to cable, which offers CNN and many programs in English, with Spanish subtitles.
