The Lazy Dog Cabin is a fantastic place to gather with friends and family, any time of year.
Winter is one of the most magical times in Vermont, and the cabin is perfectly located to take advantage of all the area has to offer. The cabin is in the Southern Vermont town of Wardsboro, just 10 minutes from Mt. Snow, and 30 minutes from Stratton, Bromley and Magic Mountain.
In warmer months, explore Vermont’s stunning state parks and quiet winding roads. Great hiking, swimming, boating, biking and fishing are all nearby.
If skiing and hiking aren’t your things, you’ll find plenty of other ways to entertain yourself -- and just as many ways to relax and do nothing. The cabin sits on two wooded acres on a country road, ideal for communing with nature and catching a spectacular star show in the night sky. From the quiet setting it’s just a short drive to several adorable small towns with excellent shopping and dining.
Our log cabin is cozy but by no means cramped. On the main floor, you’ll find the inviting living room with woodburning fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, a dining area with seating for 10, a den, and a full bathroom. Also on the first floor is the master bedroom, with its own bathroom including whirlpool tub and separate shower. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with two double beds and another with four twins that are perfect for kids, or can be rearranged to accommodate couples. The bedrooms share a half bath. The basement features a pool table and darts. And new in 2008: We added a large deck! You’ll find that the Lazy Dog Cabin as comfortable for 2 as for 10.
There are plenty of rustic touches, from the wide-plank floors to the antique door latches to the woodstove next to the dining table. But you’ll also find everything you need for a comfortable stay, including toasty heating with separate climate controls in each room, quality bedding with quilts and flannel sheets, plenty of board games, books and DVDs, wireless Internet, a DVD player, washer and dryer, and a heated indoor swimming pool at the nearby clubhouse. We also include an ample supply of firewood.
And because we know your favorite traveling companion may be your four-legged friend, the Lazy Dog Cabin is happy to welcome well-behaved dogs. Ask us for more details (and for recommendations on dog-friendly swimming holes and other wag-inducing spots).

We have stayed at the Lazy Dog Cabin a few times and absolutely love it. It has a great kitchen and living area and it's great for the entire family. Our dog Murphy loves it! Also, we have had friends stay there too and they feel the same way! Great location....so relaxing, too! The owners are so nice and the place is soooo clean!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
