Our two bedroom, two bath Townhouse is located at the Poipu Crater Resort at the top, where you can enjoy cool tropical and fragrant breezes throughout the unit. Called the 'place of the gods' there are 15 side by side townhouses on the 7 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. No one above you or below you, which makes your stay more private.
Poipu Crater is located nestled above Poipu road closer to the Hyatt and away from the construction zone and noise on the other end with easy access into Old Koloa Town.
Our home is fully furnished in island decor. The master bedroom with full ensuite and king-size bed, is like a private suite on the second floor, while our 2nd bedroom on the main level has 2 twin beds with a 2nd TV and DVD. (There is a single foldaway cot in the closet for an extra guest). There is a 2nd full bathroom outside the downstairs bedroom with newer washer & dryer.
Rattan & glass in island decor in dining room and living rooms. The large lanai has 2 sliding patio doors, one off the living room with new window coverings Sept 06 and the other off the dining room with patio table 6 chairs and a chaise lounge. Banana trees surround the lanai, plus many new extras added to make your stay more comfortable. Beach towels and 4 beach chairs in easy carry fold-up bags.
You can take one of the garden pathways to the pool area where you can also take a sauna, play a game of tennis or just kick back and enjoy the sun or browse through the many books located in the clubhouse adjacent to the pool. For those who enjoy barbecuing, we have 2 gas barbecues with tables and chairs under a covered patio by poolside for your comfort.
A leisurely walk along one of the greenbelt paths will take you to the Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach or in the other direction to sunny Poipu Beach Park. Swim, snorkle or bodysurf on our sandy white beaches or relax at Brennecke's Restaurant for a casual lunch or evening meal with a view of the ocean and spectacular sunsets to catch on film. Or head past the Hyatt to Maha'ulepu Beach and discover my favourite beach - see sea monks sunning themselves along the beach or just enjoy the tranquility of the less populated beach that stretches for miles.
If you are interested in golf, we are just minutes away from Championship Golf Courses. Walk around Koloa Town with its historic buildings full of great shopping and dining. Spouting Horn and Botanical Gardens are only a few minutes drive. A must is our farmers' markets located around the island, one in Koloa (fresh island grown fruits and vegetables at a minimal cost).
There are so many things to see and do around the island, too many to mention. Don't forget to take a day trip to the North Shore - Hanalei and beyond where the famous Na Pali trailhead starts, tour boats or hiking, or head to the west to Waimea Canyon or Glass Beach - for the ultimate view is Polihale Beach at the furthest point west. Make sure you enjoy the stunning sunsets and colorful rainbows.
I'm sure your vacation on our tropical paradise will call you back again over the years. |
