"Delightful" is the word for this beautiful vacation home located at Seaside, one of Key West's newest gated communities. There are touches of tropical whimsy everywhere you look, from the brightly colored original art on the walls to the wonderful furnishings.
When you walk in the front door, the walled tropical garden in the entry hall will make you feel like you are still outdoors. And yet, this is a very sophisticated residence, with a wood-paneled private elevator that will take you to each of this home's three floors. Or you can climb the wide, elegantly tiled lighthouse-style stairs that wind their way around the elevator.
Living @ The Top
As is the case with many homes in this area, the living spaces are on the third floor to maximize the breezes and light coming into the house.
The living room has French doors that open onto a private balcony. There is a flat-panel TV and plenty of room for everyone to relax on the sectional or one of the comfortable armchairs. There is an overhead fan and vaulted ceiling that add to the open, spacious feel of the room. There is even a queen size day bed in the room for extra guests. There is a full-sized bathroom with shower on the same floor.
The kitchen has granite countertops and is fully equipped with top-of-the-line appliances; even the most demanding chef will be pleased. As with the living room, there are French doors to another spacious private balcony, a vaulted ceiling and overhead fan. The elegant trestle table will seat up to six.
The Bedrooms
The two bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the house on the second floor, each with their own private balcony. They are equal in size, so there's no need for debate about who gets which room. Both are lavishly furnished, with comfortable reading chairs and plenty of space to just relax in complete privacy. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom with shower; one also has a bidet and bathtub.
The Garden
The Garden on the first level offers a completely separate indoor/outdoor living area for a little "alone" time, or for the family barbecue. There's enough room for everyone to spread out, either in the garden itself, or the Garden Room, with its oversized wicker sofas.
The Pool and Spa
The community pool and hot tub are located right in front of the townhome, so you'll never be far from cooling off or heating up, whichever is your preference.
The Fitness Room
What vacation would be complete without a little workout to keep you from feeling guilty about all the pulled pork and plantains you ate last night? The fitness center has everything you need to make you sweat, with a full Universal gym and free weights.
There are three TVs. Wireless high-speed Internet access is also included. Maid and/or linen service is available on a daily or weekly basis at additional cost.
