The hubby, kids and I all stayed at Cloud 10 during Spring Break. We were concerned about the weather and things to do since it was the off season. But the weather was perfect and Cloud 10 did not disappoint at all! Yes, it was the off season but we still managed to explore the beautiful lake and get in a fun coaster ride at the Wisp. Cloud 10 had breath taking views and it was an amazing house to play in!- Honestly, there are soooo many fun things to do for kids and grownups right at the house, it doesn't matter what season it is! We've already recommended it to our friends and family and we can't wait to make it an annual destination! This is truly a special, fun and easy get-away. Thanks!-Powers Family

Cloud 10 is a awesome place to stay anytime of the year. There are so many things do to from the free arcade, putt putt, the indoor swimming pool, poker room and is very convient to everything. The views from this property are fantastic and endless. During our stay it rained 4 out of the 5 days we were there but everyone was just content on staying at the house. The property is very clean, cozy, well maintained and the owner is always avaliable for any questions or concerns. I would definately recommend this rental to family and or friends as it has something for everyone to do.

The Perfect Family Getaway

We had a fantastic time at Cloud 10. The house is just lovely and suited us perfectly. The children (big and little, alike) LOVED the arcade, especially my 40-year old husband who we have now nicknamed "Pinball Kid". We cooked an early Thanksgiving meal for our family and found everything we needed in the kitchen. We had the perfect weekend, it was crisp and chilly when we arrived which was quickly followed by snow. We awoke to a groundcovering of snow on Friday which was just spectacular and were treated to the view of a buck just outside the living room window. Saturday's thaw allowed us to enjoy the mini-golf (which was so well constructed!) and also built a little fire in the fire pit. The movie library is spectacular and allowed us adults to watch some more grown up movies while the youngsters enjoyed the arcade. The linens were quality, there were plenty of towels and the house was very clean. My biggest complaint is that the weekend was way too short, we didn't have enough time to enjoy everything! Rick, the owner left us a delicious jar of almonds, it was a lovely touch and they were gone rather quickly, I must say. The area is beautiful, but we honestly never left the property for the entire weekend, except to refuel on some refreshments. Our weekend could not have been more perfect. This is the first time my family has gotten together for a trip and it went so well that we are definitely considering another trip next year. Also, my husband's brother and parents would like to get together with us and this would be the ideal place for it. I will recommend Cloud 10 to anyone looking for a place that provides everything you could ever want. It was a pleasure dealing with Rick. He was quick to respond, friendly and so helpful. I am so happy I stumbled upon his listing on VRBO.

Our family has ages 47- 16, plus a baby. It is difficult to find time that everyone can get away and that we can find a pet sitter. Rick was great about working with us on short notice. He thought of everything for this property, and we tried it all. The mini-golf was challenging but not too difficult. The pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna were very relaxing. And we loved making s'mores on the fire pit. Even the lay-out of this house was well thought out. When you are in the family room, you can't hear any noise from the gameroom or the swimming pool which was great when the baby was sleeping. The house was easy to find. It was clean and comfortable. It had almost everything we needed. What I liked best was not having to go out to find entertainment. I really needed a place to just relax and have fun and not be on the go constantly. Cloud 10 was the perfect getaway for my family and I! I am looking forward to going back to Cloud 10 and to trying your other property Ski and Glee!

We recently returned to the Cloud 10 at Deep Creek for our second time. Once again, our experience was exceptional. This place is fantastic for both parents and kids of all ages. What we like about the Cloud 10 so much are all of the wonderful amenities this house offers, the location from Deep Creek Lake and the Wisp Resort and all of the many things that these places offer as well, and the proximity for us from Pittsburgh. I don't think twice about driving 3 hours to get to as nice of a weekend getaway as this place is. Our boys are 3 and 5 and this is one of the favorite spots. We have traveled here with family and friends with kids younger and ones almost in their teens and have all said the same thing... "What an awesome place". Indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, pool table, dart board, huge TV's with great stereo systems/ XBox, DVD's, breathtaking views on the big deck, gas grill, fire pit, and my boy's favorite... a HUGE arcade! The owner, Rick, even installed an 18 hole Putt-Putt course around the whole house! I'm sure that there are things I'm missing too. On our last visit, we had great weather most of the time, then it rained for a day and a half. The beauty here is that there are still LOTS of things to do even when it rained. I applaud the owner for creating such a great place. We will return! Thank you!

A Most Excellent Adventure!

My fiancee and I and two children (15 and 8 yrs) stayed at Cloud 10 from August 21-27, and it was fabulous! We LOVED the free putt-putt course, the free arcade, the pool, the XBox 360, and the smores we made one night in the fire pit. The house lay out is perfection, the sunsets are stunning and the view of the stars from the hot tub was awesome! The location is close to everything, and there is just too much to do in Deep Creek to fit into just one week. We didn't get to see any bears, but we did see "Bambi", hawks, chipmunks, and groundhogs. You won't find anyone easier to work with than Rick. He's quick to respond to queries, has a great sense of humor, and is just plain nice. Cloud 10 should be at the top of your list for Deep Creek Vacation Rentals!! Don't pass up an opportunity to stay here! Thanks for everything, Rick!

This was our first time in the Deep Creek, MD area and we couldn't have picked a better house for our vacation. This property was everything the listing stated and more. I'm not sure where to start with my review since there are so many things we enjoyed about this house but here are some of our favorites: an incredible view, the house was very clean when we arrived, the pool was just the perfect size for a family with small children, the arcade provided hours of fun for young and old, the miniature golf was a blast, we were 5 minutes from WISP resort and many other restaurants and shops, great entertainment systems with large TV’s, DVD players, and an Xbox 360. We were actually so busy with the kids at the pool, arcade, and miniature golf that we didn't even get to the hot tub, steam room, or the sauna. How many times have you stayed at a house that offered so many things to do on the property that you could not get to all them? That was a first for us. This property is perfect for families with children since there is always something to keep the little ones busy. We had fun introducing our 8 year old online gaming daughter to the thrill of Ms. Packman and Frogger in the arcade. Rick the owner was always very responsive to emails before we arrived and even gave us some great advice on the best local spots to hit for food, coffee, sightseeing, etc... There were also very clear instructions in the house for everything from the entertainment systems to the fireplaces. We will definitely be back to Deep Creek and we will either stay at this house or we may try the other property the owner has nearby with similar features. My only hesitation in writing this review is that I selfishly do not want too many people to book this house. We had a great time and we want it all to ourselves! Thank you Rick for making your beautiful home available for our vacation.

This was by far one of the best family vacations we were ever on!!! And all the children agreed!! So much to do right on the premises it didn't even matter that it rained or not. Activities for the children and the adults. Well equipped, comfortable and fun!!! We do want to return.

We stayed at Cloud 10 the week of June 19, 2011. We ranged in age from 8 to 70. There was always something for everyone to do from the pool, hot tub, big screen tv with movies, xbox 360 with games, pool table, darts, putt putt, arcade, firepit, and decks. An awesome place to spend time with your family. The favorite spot for the kids was in the arcade. It was so awesome to play all these games for free!!!!! The deck was so relaxing to just hang out on and talk and the view was amazing. Definately recommend to everyone.....

I would like to add that the mini-golf is awesome! We immediately fell in love with the house and all of it's amenities, the mini golf course was just an added bonus. The 18 holes proved to be a fun challenge for all of us (there were even tiny clubs for my 2 year old nephew who enjoyed giving it his best shot!) There was constant competition between siblings/parents/children/cousins.....we even saw Grandma and Pappy sneaking off for their own round before the kids caught them and joined in! Great job on the course, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all!

Cloud 10 was everything we could have hoped for and more! This was a vacation planned to celebrate the birthdays of family members turning 10, 30, 40, and 70 all this year. We had 8 adults and 5 children ranging in age from 2-12 and I can honestly say that this was the best vacation by far. The house was absolutely beautiful, and there was NEVER a dull moment!! The 18 hole mini-golf, indoor pool, hot tub, and arcade were amazing! The kids were fully entertained every moment (not to mention the adults!) and never once did we hear the usual "I'm bored!" The location is perfect. Cloud 10 has a beautiful view of the lake and the feel of a secluded get-away, yet everything you could possibly need is within a 5 minute drive. Thank you Rick for a truly wonderful vacation!!

Everything that everyone else has said about this property is true. It's got everything you need whether you're bringing the family along or if you just want to spend some time with friends. But what puts it over the top is the owner, Rick. The whole process for renting his property is both painless and efficient. And his communication is EXCELLENT. I never had to wait more than a few hours before receiving a reply for one of my many questions. Yes, Cloud 10 is great place to stay with a ton of amenities but Rick will make sure that you'll be coming back soon. I highly recommend this property over all others.

Perfect Ski weekend!

We arrived at the house to find a fresh 12 inches of snow that had fallen the evening before we arrived. We realized immediatley that a 4x4 vehicle is a requirement. The driveway had not been plowed yet but the owner Rick was making every effort to get someone there to clear the snow. We ran errands & waited a little while for the plow & then decided to walk up the long driveway to start our long weekend visit. It was worth the walk. The house is wonderful! Super cozy, great attention to detail, fantastic gameroom plus the pool and the hottub were an added bonus.What more could you ask for? We were a group of friends & family with our young kids away for a long ski weekend. I think the adults used the gameroom more than the kids but we did all partake. We never felt crowded or cramped & there was always something to keep the kids busy. The Whisp was just a short drive up the road & the fresh snow made for perfect skiing! The entire area where the house is located is really, really nice. In fact we are trying to plan a summer visit. Either way we will be back to Cloud 10 for the next ski season. As a tip for other skiers- make sure you lock up your equipment at the resort when not using it. One member of our group had rental skis that were stolen while she was in the lodge. Most of us had locks for our personal ski equipment but she had rental equipment from a place near the Whisp. Who would have thought they would go after it but they stole her skiis on our 1st day out. It was really nice rental equipment & she did have to pay for it. Bummer! But other than that misfortune we skied, tubed, rode the mountain coaster, swam & played lots of video games. Good times making good memories! We would highly recommend a visit to Cloud 10.

Doesn't Get Any Better Than Cloud10

My family and my sister's family had the opportunity to visit Cloud10 during the holidays in December of 2010. We had never visited Deep Creek and weren't sure what to expect. While the tubing and skiing were fun, it was Cloud10 that made the difference in our trip. Access to both a private pool and hot tub provided hours of fun for both the adults and the kids but it was the arcade that really won us over! No matter the age or skill level, EVERYONE had their game faces on and had a great time trying to obtain the high score. Additionally, the separate living area on the lower really provided a ton of privacy for each of the families. I look forward to returning to Cloud10 in 2011.

Cloud 10 Review - All Pros, no Cons!

Background: We are a family of 4, two boys ages 11 & 7 and two typically harried parents.   We were looking for a place to "get away from the rat race of the burbs", and yet not bore our kids to tears. (1) The owner - Wonderful to deal with.  Made the reservation process simple and efficient.  Ultra-responsive to any (albeit infrequent) issues. (2) Everything *worked*.  Our experience with vacation home rentals over the years has been a mixed bag. Often as not, the homes with many "bells and whistles" (and this house has a lot)  end up having numerous irritating issues that may or may not be resolved before your vacation is up. The owner stated specifically that all the numerous features of the home as described were checked out prior to our arrival, and that --- in every detail --- was true.  (3)  The Bells and Whistles: Having an indoor pool, with an associated sauna AND separate steam room was unbelievably wonderful.  A treat for adults and kids. However the full-sized arcade room, full of pinball machine-size (and larger) classic arcade games, was just the 'coup de grace ! Our kids were in heaven.  When they weren't in the pool, they were in the arcade,  warming up in the sauna or steam room in between; occasionally they even joined mom and dad in the hot tub.  When they tired, they came inside and watched TV or movies (the owner maintains quite a selection) on one of several large screen televisions or just chilled out in front of one of the fireplaces or just sat looking out over the miles of lake and mountain visible from almost anywhere in the house.  Granted, the whole thing  was a bit decadent, but a great change of pace from the regimen of schoolwork and sports. (4) Location; There are numerous State Parks, trails, and of course the Wisp Ski Resort (just across the lake) near Cloud 10. We chose to hike Swallow Falls, not because we were bored, but because we felt guilty staying in the house all week! The owner has conveniently detailed the local goings-on in an extensive information notebook at the house.    (5) Would we do it again?  Absolutely.  It's not often that parents of smaller children can go "on vacation" and actually come back rested and refreshed at the end.  This particular place really makes that possible and I'd wholeheartedly recommend it for families.  We've already booked a return visit  . . .

Perfect for an important family birthday celebration

This turned out to be the absolutely perfect place for members of our family to gather and celebrate my husband's 70th Birthday. Our age range was 4-70, and there was plenty of space and activity for all. The family loved the big main floor gathering space with comfortable furnishings and wonderful views. We loved having several bathrooms-that was great! We liked that we could have spaces for privacy. Enjoyed the outdoor decks and fine views. A good size bear investigating the fire pit and ambling under the back deck to the forest beyond was a bonus! Everyone loved the arcade room and spent many hours there. Some of us managed to use the pool, steam room, hot tub, and sauna which was appreciated. A really special find to stay at a place with so many amenities. Even though the house is in a really private location, it's within 5 minutes of shopping and restaurants. The Foodland Grocery store is excellent and had a bakery which prepared a really unique and delicious birthday cake. Some of us drove to nearby state parks to take some nice hikes. We were lucky enough to be there during a nearby fall festival, another great bonus. I think the whole family would love to gather at Cloud 10 again sometime in the future.

We had such a great time. The first day here we saw a black bear at the end of the driveway!! We loved the hottub and the game room. The view is great and the location was good. The kids rode go carts every day. We loved the roller coaster. We cooked at the house and put a suggestion list in front pocket. Thank you for a great weekend!! My son enjoyed his 10th birthday so much that he does not want to leave. Hope to come back!!

This is an absolute lovely home. With 10 adults everyone was really comfortable. The virtual tour can't compare to the real thing. The view is awesome!!! WOW! What a lovely home with great amenities and conveniences! We surprised our 3 boys and didn't tell them about the arcade until we arrived --- they were thrilled! We really appreciate your care and attention to this property! We especially liked the high quality sheets, towels, blankets... the telescope... the instant hot water for hot cocoa! The arcade, the hot tub, the pool table, the big TV's and ... the labels on the lights, TV instructions, etc. The very best was the VIEW of the lake and mountains!! 2 Families, 6 boys and lots of activities around the house to keep them entertained. You have a great house and of course the game room was a huge hit with the boys. The view of the lake is great! We have made the trip to Deep Creek for years with our friends to celebrate Thanksgiving and I think all would agree yours is the best house yet we have rented. My wife says you need a large serving platter (I think the turkey was fine pre-cut before getting to the table) and the boys were awe about the pool with no water (maybe next time). All in all, a great trip and wonderful home. Note from the owner - I purchased a large serving tray for the home after reading this comment.

Thank you so much for the use of your gorgeous home here at Deep Creek. Tom's description of it was close but, "you gotta see it to believe it". It truly is a dream home. We had a very much needed rest this weekend. It's the kind of place you don't want to leave. This weekend is the first time our family has had together in a long, long time. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, especially this time of year with the leaves changing color. I will be forever grateful for this opportunity.
