From the huge roof terrace in the Marnix Terrace Apartment, itself a playpen with loungers, barbecue and more, you also get an amazing 360 degree view of Amsterdam, where you can watch the sparkling cityscape change from day into night and be truly impressed.
The apartment is set in a typical old Amsterdam building and is literally two minutes from the Leidseplein square.
A very central location, with many characteristic shops, bars and cafés in the vicinity, you are a short walk from the Museum Quarter and the canals area.
There is a tram stop at the door of the building, which will take you to Central station in about 10 minutes.

We found the place as described, well equipped, clean and with enough space for a group or family of four. The apartment is an excellent location to explore Amsterdam on foot. Jordaan is a vibrant area with many nice restaurants and shops. Museums, the town centre and Anne-Frank-House are conveniently close.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We traveled 12 people as a group and rented 3 apartments during this stay from same proprietor. Listings were as described and in a good location. Everything was clean and in order, and we were not charged extra for cleaning (even though we didn't leave everything 100% clean to say the least). Owner was excellent with everything. Overall a very good experience. Will definitely consider staying here again during our next stay in Amsterdam.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: The two owners and hosts, Martijn Bunk and Dries Borggreve, who own several vacation apartments and are the contact persons during your stay in one of their apartments.
Why the Owner Chose Amsterdam:
After working together for a couple of years, B&B Vastgoed Amsterdam was established in 1998 by Martijn Bunk and Dries Borggreve as a realestate developing company.
During the years we started to rent out some of our self developed luxury apartments to expatriates and since 2007 we have succesfully focussed on the short term rental marked.
In the apartmentbuilding on the Marnixstraat, which houses four of our five luxury apartments, we designed and built the second, third, and forth floor apartments ourselves. The recently renovated first floor apartment was designed by an architect and built by a hired contracter according to our specifications. The Wilhemina apartment we designed and built ourselves.
In 2007 we started with a booking agent to do our bookings, but decided during that year to start a website to generate our own bookings. Our site went on air in the beginning of 2008, and facilitates direct online bookings. It now generates an estimated eighty percent of our bookings.

Although the apartments seem to be situated ad the edge of the city centre, our guests tell us that they think the apartment is perfect for exploring Amsterdam. Ectually, this part of Amsterdam is still centre and close to the Leidse Square and Museum District. And everything in walking distance.
