The snow has started!! We've been sledding this year already. Come to our cabin with the BEST natural sledding hill you can find. And Ski Beech is only 1 mile away. We have a couple pairs of small winter boots you can use and a small ski coat/pants set if you need them. And, plenty of sleds!
The property is a flat usable lot - hard to find on Beech - that your kids and dogs will love to run around in. We have a bonfire pit in the back for cooking smores. After you're done, you can store your clothes in the mud room or stick them in the washer/dryer for the next day.
Inside the cabin is cozy and eclectic, completely remodeled in Dec '07 with hardwood floors throughout and a knotty pine ceiling in the kitchen/dining area giving a modern yet cozy feel. For some group fun in the evening, we have a stock of all your old favorite games: Scrabble, Cribbage, Chess/Checkers, Manacala, cards, and others, and those for the kids: Go Fish, Crazy 8's, Old Maid, and Sorry! We also keep a selection of reading materials for a quiet moment to yourself. If movies are your thing, you can pick one up at Fred's Mercantile in the heart of town.

We are a young family who loves to get away to the mountains about once a month. We love to be outside and walk down the nearby trail at every visit. We regularly travel to nearby areas: Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Boone, Grandfather Mt, Linville Falls, and we almost always visit the Mast General Store for a barrel of candy!
Why the Owner Chose Beech Mountain
We love the mountains as a vacation spot as it offers something to do year round. We like being close to Ski Beech because of the great kids' ski school program they have. Our specific property is unique on Beech as it is sitting on a flat lot, so it is a great play space for both our kids and dogs.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
The beautiful walking trail right behind the cabin. A phenomenal natural sledding hill also right behind the cabin. We are surrounded by hardwoods and so the Fall colors are fabulous. The kitchen in our cabin is very spacious which makes it very comfortable for us.
