Escape the summer heat at our cool, shaded cabin on Beech Mountain! Our cabin is near the top of Beech giving warm, sunny, breezy summer days and cool comfortable evenings great for sitting around a bonfire.
Summertime in the mountains is splendid and affordable! There are free concerts in the park on Thursday nights in Banner Elk and Friday nights in Boone. The Blue Ridge Parkway is breathtaking and offers many places to hike, picnic, and stop to enjoy the long-range views. Amdission to Grandfather Mountain is only $3-6/person and provides a full day's worth of viewing, hiking and picnicking. Linville Falls and Caverns are other affordable and spectacular places to visit. Boone and Blowing Rock are nearby and offer an eclectic selection of stores to browse and shop in.
If you prefer to stay right on Beech, there's plenty in store. Buckeye Rec Center and the golf course are only a short drive away. Beech Mountain has many varied hiking trails from easy to strenuous. We have a beautiful easy to moderate walking trail starting just off our backyard which follows a rocky mountain stream down to a lake.
Our cabin itself has much to offer with a flat usable lot that kids and dogs love to play in. The expansive kitchen keeps you from getting that cramped-in cabin feel, with marble tiled counters and a knotty pine ceiling, giving a modern yet cozy feel. Hardwood floors throughout keep it feeling rustic and mountain-like. We keep a selection of family games and reading materials for evening family time and also have satellite tv installed.
