We had a wonderful week at this beautiful house on the lake. Great yard for the kids. Wonderful kayaking. Beautiful sunsets and views from the whole house. Everything you could possibly need and more! Very dog friendly--even an extra bed and toy and dog bowl! Very clean and well supplied. Nice quiet location. Owner was great about providing lots of information about the areaRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our vacation at the lake on Fee Fee Point was wonderful. I can't say enough about how beautiful the cabin was, and how the location was breathtaking. The pictures on this site don't do the cabin justice. Most of the time my family and I vacation with a jammed packed schedule, but this time we didn't want to leave the cabin. We brought our 19ft boat, and were amazed by all the fish we were able to catch. The boat ramp was just down the street. We also enjoyed the bike riding and tennis courts down the street. The restaurants that Jennifer the rental agent suggested were right on. We did find one other pizza place on our own "Pie in the Sky." Their vermont white pizza was amazing. We were hoping to take one back with us on the trip home. Also, the drive in theatre at St. Albans was a treat. My kids had a blast. Thank you for the great experience.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We absolutely loved this home! It is new and beautiful! It had all the amenities we needed and more! The views were just amazing and we spent many evenings just relaxing in the home. The upstairs bedroom is huge and has a beautiful master bath. The kitchen is updated with a dishwasher which was a plus! A huge bonus was that we had access to the washer and dryer so we could do laundry there. The TV's are new and had cable and internet access. The dock in the back is so convenient to dock your boat. We would go out on the lake in the morning, come back to the house for lunch, and then head right back out again on the lake. We will definitely rent this home again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

It seems questionable that this guest was so unhappy since, he was hoping to rent our property for the entire month of September 2011 !!! We had no choice but to withhold $100 of his deposit for damage to the oven during this stay and in turn, negative feedback was left. We've never had any complaints about the cleanliness of our log home. Any items that have needed to be fixed or replaced have been attended to promptly. Our housekeeper can attest to the additional hours that she spent cleaning after this departure to have it ready for the next arrival. Please take the time to review the additional feedback left by all of our other HAPPY guests.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

The location is beautiful, however, the house could have been cleaner. The only shower was moldy, and we had to clean it as well as the blackened shower curtain. The handle of the bathroom door fell off in our hands. The upstairs toilet needed to be fixed, and the barbeque caught fire because it was old and rotted. We had to clean the windows of the house (both inside & out) to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. We washed all the rugs since several of them looked like they were not clean. The icemaker stopped working during our visit & without our quick reaction, the house would have been flooded. The review of the people who arrived after us stated how clean the house was. It WAS clean...we cleaned it!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/8

We had a lovely week at this beautiful log cabin home. The owners provided everything to make a vacation perfect - from all housekeeping necessities to local sightseeing tips. All was in great condition the day we arrived. Definitely recommend to all for a great week right on the lake for boating, kayaking, superb fishing, biking, or reading and relaxing in the beautiful hammock in the front yard.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Just wanted to give this Log Home double thumbs up! It was a picture perfect location on the calmer shores of Lake Champlain. I have a very stressful job, that demands a lot of my time, and we were able to get away as a family with two children, enjoy fishing, kayaking, bicycling and making smores on the campfire each night. The owner was beyond accommodating and was a pleasure to meet and spend time with. We met the locals at a wonderful pot luck supper and were enriched with the local history that exists on the islands. The neighbors were great as well. Just friendly and truly wonderful to meet. The Cabin was impeccably clean, and the added bonus of linens and towels provided was a nice touch. If you are looking for a place to rekindle your family and enjoy your kids, this is it!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

It was a perfect vacation for the whole family and the dog! Gr-r-r-reat fishing! But, apparently one week is not enough, we needed more! Cabin is nice and clean, all appliances are brand new! You feel very cozy being in this cabin, you feel at home. We would recommend this cabin to everybody ( but the truth is : we just want to keep it it all to ourselves). The owners are a real pleasure to deal with -very pleasant and helpful people!Thank you for a great vacation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Visited the "cabin" for a long Labor Day weekend - 2008. It was more than I expected for a "cabin" in Vermont. The home is equipped with all the amenities you could want in a beautiful setting. The weather was unusually warm and because of this the futon on the loft was not a good choice for sleeping...much too warm. Thought the office could be converted to a bedroom but it is extremely small so we used the mudroom for the teens. They had a great time in their own space. An extra bedroom would have been great but we managed. Everyone enjoyed using the Kayaks and just sitting by the waters edge in the Adirondack Chairs. Thank goodness for digital cameras because I took hundreds of pictures during our stay from the geese on the lake to the amazing sunsets. North Hero is a quaint spot as is most of Vermont and we will return again to visit this area...hopefully we can arrange another get away to the 'cabin' to see the fall foliage. I recommend this spot for anyone who is looking for a quiet get away. You won't find fast food restaurants or chain stores anywhere in site - it's not all commercialized. Lots of antique shops. Spent some time on Isle La Monte at Fiske Farm and St. Ann's Shrine - beautiful spot. No matter where we went there was another scenic view of the VT mountains and Lake Champlain. It was a great get away before the start of school.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

We had great vacation staying here with the gorgeous sunsets and view of the lake with the expansive windows. The setting is great and quiet. The kayaks were used daily along with biking of the island. Fishing is plentiful in the lake. The log cabin is very nice. Thanks for a relaxing and fun vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We had a WONDERFUL time. Everything was great. Very relaxing! The only big let down was the fact you can not swim in the water right in front of the house. It is all weeds. But I will say the sunset makes up for it! UNREAL! There is a place 5 minutes away that you can drive to if you want to go swimming. Besides that, you could not ask for anything more!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.
