    • My husband and I stayed at this B&B for four nights in June 09. We felt this is more like a home away from home than a B&B; the owner is very sincere and helpful. You get a lot service which you will not even get from a five-star hotel. For the same trip, we stayed 6 nights at the JW Marriott in Quito, which is a five-star property. If that was truly 5 stars, this B&B's service is at least 7 stars. The owner even went out of her way to get some shell fish we desired. She also called all the taxis we needed at the local price; the Marriott called all the taxis for us too, but at 6 times the local price. We really feel as if we were visiting a friend rather than staying at a B&B. Try it, you will like it.

    • We had 5 enjoyable days at Casa Iguana. The balcony views are gorgeous, the suite was lovely, and location very convenient. Pat made a point of understanding what kind of travelers we are and helping us do off-the-beaten-track things we really enjoyed. Highly recommended! Diana and Steve

    • Using my criteria of CLEANLINESS, LOCATION, FRIENDLINESS and PRICE it was 5 star for all. CLEANLINESS - I walked into the room and the tile floors were immaculate. The light scent of bleach that was recently used to clean permeated the air. The bed was crisply made with fresh sheets. The windows had screens so we could enjoy the fresh ocean breezes without the bugs. AC was also available but we did not need to use it. LOCATION - The inn is located just a short walk from the passenger pier 'downtown' and many local and tourist restaurants. You can walk to the Charles Darwin Interpretive center, which we thought was better than the one on Santa Cruz. You can walk to numerous beaches for swimming and watching the sea lions, iguanas and birds. If you want to venture out further, Pat will help you to find safe, reasonably priced transportation. FRIENDLINESS - The owners, Pat and Luis live on site. Pat is from the US and is fluent in English and Spanish. Luis is a local and knows all the local ways. They are both very helpful but at the same time not intrusive. They will take care of you as much or as little as you want. PRICE - When we started planning our trip my husband was lured in by many low cost options for lodging on San Cristobal. This is not a low cost alternative but I am very satisfied with value for our money. The adage of you get what you pay for comes into play. I feel it was very appropriately price for the accomodations and services.

    • By far the Best place on the island. Attention to the details and comfort were apparent and appreciated. The suites are clean and modern with comfy beds and couches. Great views of the marina and town. It is all getting better as Pat continues to improve and add to her home. She was most helpful by accompanying us to get our bearings and contracting transportation for our outings. We appreciated her help and cheerful attitude. A good time had by all.

    • Pat has done a great job on her B & B. The rooms and baths are lovely with great workmanship and aesthetics. It's lovely to sit out on the porch areas, and each room has a small refrigerator which really comes in handy. It's brand new, and finishing touches are still in progress. Pat is a great hostess. She picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, as well as made sure we got our bearings in the town and helped make other arrangements. The tourist area and marina of this small town are literally a five minute walk, with access to restaurants, shops, the Internet, etc. This is certainly the most upscale accommodation on the island. Puerto Baquerizo Moreno is still in transition as a tourist stop, but will soon have more paved and bricked streets as well as a landscaped marina. This is a great town for watching sea lions do their thing!

    • I have stayed a total of 22 days Sept. 2007 and June 2008 and have a 14 day stay planned for Jan. 31 09. I would recommend this hand built beautiful property to everyone. If you have dreamed of experiencing the Galapagos whether you are on a cruise, or going just to one Island nothing comes close to the modern, detailed, B&B! I have a new custom home near Santa Fe NM and would compair the quality to my own home. The unobstructed view to the Ocean, a football field away can't be described. I would give this property a 9 out of 10 or 4 stars. Marilyn

    • Firstly, the hospitality at Casa Iguana is unbeatable. I was taken care of as if I were family; delicious breakfast, friendly staff, and help finding anything I wanted - I have traveled all over the world and don't find assistance like this very often. Thank you, Pat, for your enthusiasm and help booking our flight and making sure our trip went as smoothly as possible. We cannot wait to plan our next trip with you. The view is spectacular, the Islands are indescribable and the bed was comfortable (which means more than you might imagine)! Kindest regards, Laura & Family

    • My sister and I vacationed on San Cristobal Island and stayed at Casa Iguana Mar y Sol and had a wonderful time. The B&B was like an oasis. It is absolutely beautiful and the owner could not have been a better host. She personally assisted in our travel arrangements to the island itself from Guayaquil and daily helped us with our adventure plans. There is no other place on the island like this B&B. As far as food, we were able to request and be served whatever it was that we desired...An absolute must...
