Our executive villa, Captiva has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a games room. It overlooks the wooded conservation area in the enclave section of Emerald Island, Kissimmee, which is a high quality new community only a few minutes from WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort.
Emerald Island is a unique resort style gated community with great facilities for all guests to enjoy including a pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness room, Internet room and a video arcade. There is also children's playground, a sand volleyball court and a nature trail to explore. Being only three miles from the entrance to Disney World it is perfectly located for visiting all the attractions. Shops, 24-hour supermarkets and restaurants are only a few minutes away on US192. The enclave section features executive, more spacious homes on larger lots.

Captiva, with its south facing pool and beautiful views over the wooded conservation area, is a very peaceful place to build up your energy after all that work on the golf course or in the part, without being overlooked from the back.
The extended pool area has a 28 by 14 foot pool and adjoining spa and is in the sunshine all day. If you get too hot then you can spend some time in the large covered lanai area with its overhead fan. There are plenty of reclining sun chairs as well as a table and chairs for dining outside while enjoying the view and there is a child safety fence in place to keep young children away from the pool unless supervised.
Inside, Captiva has nearly 3000 square feet of air-conditioned space for your and your family to spread out. There are three master bedroom suites, two with king beds and one with a queen bed. The other two bedrooms have two beds each and share the fourth bathroom. One of the bedrooms is finished in a Disney theme and the villa can sleep up to 10 in real comfort.
Each bedroom has a TV and there are several DVD players and a Playstation 2 with games. In the rest of the house you will find a large family room and a brilliant air conditioned games room with a pool table, air-hockey and a big screen TV. There is also a breakfast nook and separate dining room. The fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave as well as a separate laundry area should help you feel perfectly comfortable during your stay.
Captiva has loads of "extras" at no extra charge such as high-speed wireless Internet, DVDs and board games, a gas BBQ grill and a baby equipment package including high chairs, strollers and baby monitors.
Our fully licensed home is managed locally so you always have someone to call on in case of a problem. Having returned from 2 weeks in Captiva I can say that we had a wonderful time. It is a great house and we loved having the armadillos, mongeese, the bright red birds (don't know what they are called) and eagles visit from the woods at the back.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family and I stayed here in June of 2008. When we first walked in, we all said "WOW, this is the best home we've stayed in so far". Everything was neat and clean. From looking at the pictures, there have been some very nice upgrades in the kitchen and the game room too. . I love that the game room and the washer and dryer are inside the house and not in the garage. This was definately a plus! Our kids really enjoyed it (especially the game room and the pool) and we are staying here again this summer! In fact, as long as it is available, we hope to stay here every time we visit Orlando on vacation. As for shopping and restaurants, they are only minutes away. The gate to the community is guarded 24hours and that made us feel safer. I highly recommend this house because it made us feel "right at home". When you plan to stay somewhere for a week or more, it is important to feel at home.

The Captiva was a wonderful residence for our family trip to Disney. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to this area. It was exactly as advertised - maybe better. The 5 bedrooms (3 with their own private bath) provided a great private retreat for the adults. All rooms of the house were spacious, very well furnished and immaculate. We especially enjoyed the game room and the pool. The owner was very responsive to my many questions. We plan to stay here again, and I will recommend it to any of my friends travelling to Disney.
