  Your home was perfect for our family vacation over the holidays! The kids loved the heated pool and game room, the views were incredible, and my husband enjoyed kite surfing right in front of the house. The beach is STEPS from the patio doors and we loved taking walks on the beach after every meal! Your home is very well appointed and we had everything we could possibly need! We will definitely return and rent your home again!

  Our extended weekend on Sullivan's Island for our son's Charleston wedding was as close to perfect as we could have asked. The stage was set as we walked into the front door of "As Good As It Gets" and were awed by the ocean vista before us. Everything we needed (and more - including the candy jars!) was at our fingertips. None of us had ever stayed in a house so well equipped for cooking! We also recommend the local island bakery, Cafe Medley, for their delicious crumb coffee cake and quiches! If you are fortunate enough to get a reservation, dinner at Husk in downtown Charleston is a must! In honor of Veteran's Day, Fort Moultrie, on the south end of the island, held a celebration including actors dresses in military costumes from each major war dating back to the Revolutionary War. So much to see and do! Some of our crowd had brought their bicycles to explore the island leisurely. Every aspect of the home is thoughtfully and artistically appointed. As attractive as it appears in photos, the house is even more beautiful in reality. Our party representing NYC, DC, Germany, and NC, included six artists (painters/illustrator/photographer) each of whom thoroughly appreciated the beauty of the home environment. The furniture, inside and outside, is comfortable and generous. Everyone slept well - and if you really listen, the rythmic lapping of the waves at high tide will lull you to sleep. We were busy with wedding activities throughout our stay and were able to conveniently travel to and from Charleston. The best part always was coming 'home' to our pristine and comfortable beach house. Watching the sun rise over the Atlantic and the dolphins play right out from the oceanside deck enchanted us all. The openness of the floor plan allowed for us all to move about never feeling crowded. We would say to anyone considering a vacation in this area, this property lives up to its name. We look forward to the opportunity to visit again.

  My children and I stayed at this amazing home for spring break 2012. We were the first guests after the owners renovated "As Good As It Gets" and definitely created memories that will last a lifetime. From the amazing interior design to the private beach at low tide, our stay was nothing but impeccable. When looking out at the ocean from the open living room, we felt as if we were on a boat. The dolphins visited every morning and evening and we even had kayaks delivered and boated right off the private beach at low tide. I highly recommend renting golf carts to drive to the amazing restaurants at Sullivan's Island. The owners thought of everything and will definitely be back again!

  Wow. For anyone considering this house and wondering whether it is worth the expense, do not think twice. We just finished a 4 night stay for my brother's wedding and our expectations were well surpassed. Sitting in the living room, you feel as if you are floating over the ocean. The house is so thoughtfully designed, and all of our houseguests were thrilled with the treat of being able to stay at this spectacular property. I have stayed at many high end houses and hotels around the world, and this property ranks up as one of the best. No one will be disappointed here. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

  Thank you for asking us to comment on our mid-July stay at 3109 Marshall. The occasion was our family celebration of my wife’s seventy fifth birthday. All four of our children and their six children ranging from two to six years were there for the good times. Without exception, it was agreed that week was the most enjoyable of our family get-togethers -- your home helped make it a time to remember. Everything was superb: from seeing the sunrise over the ocean to listening to the surf at midnight – and all in between were experiences to appreciate. You have a beautiful home that is tastefully decorated and furnished, and I know of nothing I would have done differently. I hope that we are again able to stay at your beautiful home.   Owner response: Multi-generational vacations are ones that we specifically thought about when we designed the renovation. By having a separate family room upstairs in addition to the large living room downstairs (both oceanfront), we gave adults a quiet place to sit and chat while the kids can play pool and video games or watch a movie on our projection screen upstairs. Instead of two bunk beds, we chose to put a trundle bed in the "kids" room so that only one would have to sleep on a top bunk and the trundle on wheels could be also moved to a parent's bedroom next door, if needed. We hope that the elevator was helful as well. Please let us know what else we can add to ensure that every member of an extended family will be comfortable.

  The moment we entered "As Good As It Gets" we immediately knew that we had selected the perfect vacation beach house for our group of eight adults and three children.  The panoramic views from the main living area with floor to ceiling windows are stunning - it was the first thing everyone commented on as they arrived. The ample deck space afforded us amazing views of the ocean and we especially enjoyed watching the dolphins swim so close to the house on a daily basis.  The proximity of the house to the beach with private access was terrific and the outdoor shower also came in handy.  The colored lighting in the pool at night was also a fun and unexpected touch.  The newly renovated upgrades throughout this sun-filled home are exceptionally thoughtful and exude coastal chic.  We made full use of the outdoor grill, high end appliances and large dining space which was nice for preparing and gathering during family meals.  With regard to the sleeping accommodations, the master suite and sitting room were exceptionally comfortable and very tastefully appointed, while each of the other bedrooms featured its own unique charm, most including water views and en-suite bathrooms.  The original Ms. Pac-Man and Frogger game consoles were enjoyed by all ages.  "As Good As It Gets" truly lives up to its name and we are already looking forward to returning next season.

  My husband and I and our four children spent a few nights here as a last minute get away. We would have stayed longer, but it was booked. Though the house looked great online in the pix, it was even lovelier in person. From the moment you enter the views of the water are breathtaking. The position of the house created a panoramic ocean view from almost every room. This same position accounts for the the beach being more difficult to access and lacking width. However, this was no problem for our boys who are older and fished, crabbed, and swam undaunted; and for some of us the wonderful chaise lounges on the deck overlooking the ocean were even better than the sand!

  This is a very nice beach house: beautuful and comfortable furnishings and a good location. The pool table and video games add a place for fun in the evenings. Our only disappointment was that, even though the house is oceanfront; there is no beach, only a rock wall. There are, however, beaches in either direction a few houses away that are fine. Overall a very nice experience in a gracious home.

  Our family (kids ages, 4, 6 & 11), plus Grandparents, rented this home for 4 nights in April and it couldn't have been a more perfect fit for us. The location was perfect; a short few steps down to secluded beach area where the kids could run around and collect shells and build castles. Every morning I laced up my running shoes and walked down to another beach entrance to run for miles along the ocean. It was a short 10 minute drive into downtown Charleston. The house had all of the things we needed, plus a fun jutebox and arcade upstairs for the kids. The decor was tasteful and the views were breathtaking. We listened to the waves of the ocean every night as we fell asleep and woke up to them every morning. This is a home we will rent again and again.
