We have stayed many places with VRBO and I must say that WWR was just heaven on earth. The quality of craftmanship and appointments on the cabin is exceptional. No detail has been overlooked!! My children loved the basketball court and hiking through the woods. Great spot, great home and Steve was wonderful. I highly suggest this cabin and hope to return soon.

We truely enjoyed our stay at WWR. The location is secluded enough to allow you soak in the nature around you, but close enough to everything that you are only a few minutes away. There is much to do within 40 minutes of WWR or you can just spend time taking in the beauty of the area. The view is stunning and we felt like we were getting the taste of autumn we have been missing. The lodge itself is great. Everything you could want or need is right there. Beautifully maintained and ready to go when you walk through the door. We highly recommend WWR for anyone looking for a quiet place to escape.

Beautiful home with extreme attention to little details that make this a home to return to! Perfect for a romantic getaway or small family. Two beautifully appointed bedrooms. Luxurious loft space for young children. Spectacular outdoor spaces for socializing or just absorbing the views. We loved listening to music on deck speakers while we grilled dinner or played cards. Furniture is beautiful and comfortable. Beds are luxurious and very comfy! Kitchen has great pots, pans, and dishes--everything you need if you choose to cook. Home provides seclusion and relaxation but gives easy access to many mountain towns and attractions. Relax in the hot tub under beautiful pavilion with twinkling lights. Rock away your stress on front porch while taking in the beauty of the natural and man-made surroundings. Play a little basketball on your own concrete pad. Build a fire in the burn pit or hike and explore the surrounding woods. In season, build a fire and just chill out. Watch tv or DVDs in media area or bedrooms. Just relax! We had such a great time with our daughter and son-in-law! We are looking forward to many return visits!

We stayed at WWR for our 4th anniversary and had a great trip. The views from the cabin are very good and reminded us of home, as we previously lived close to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. We enjoyed the peacefulness and privacy that this setting offered. Everything in the cabin was nicely done, and we could tell the owners paid attention to details from the design to the appliances. We definitely want to come back for another trip and would recommend it to others.

The Wagon Wheel Ridge is the perfect cabin for a getaway vacation. The cabin is beautiful, has all the amenities, is secluded, has a wonderful view of the mountains, yet it is cozy and makes you feel like you are at home. The inside of the cabin is spacious and accommodates plenty of guests. We had 6 adults staying in the cabin and we were very comfortable. The outside of the cabin is just a spacious, with large porches, lots of chairs, and a hot tub. There are lots of recreational activities in the area including hiking, waterfalls, tubing, and white water rafting. The hot tub is perfect after a day of outdoor activities for relaxing. The cabin as a whole is gorgeous and once you get there you will not want to leave!

We had an awesome weekend at Wagon Wheel Ridge. My husband and I have rented several properties from VRBO and this by far was the best. The view was absolutely amazing. The house was spotless, all the decor was high quality. They have really paid attention to detail; even provided robes to go back and forth to the hot tub in. We would not hesitate to recommend this rental to friends and family.

We had a fantastic time at this cabin. It was very cozy and private. It had everything you would need for a weekend stay: great beds, fully equiped kitchen, great tv and sound system, and wonderful scenery. We would stay here again. Fantastic for a quick get-a-way.

This "cabin" is more like a very comfortable modern mountain home with all the amenities. Situated on the side of the mountain w/ views to die for, this is the perfect place to rest and relax. The bed was comfy, place exceptionally clean and many extras provided. The outdoor hot tub with mountain view made it complete. We couldn't have been more pleased. The gravel road wasn't as difficult to maneuver with my Toyota Camry as I expected--made it right up with no problems. It was close enough to tourist attractions and hiking yet far enough to feel remote. Our only complaint was having to leave and return home to reality.

My girlfriend and I had a great time just getting away up to the mountains for the weekend. The cabin is great with everything you could ask for, from the hot tub pavillion, fire pit, basketball goal, nice flat screen tv's in all of the rooms instead of old tube tv's, up to date kitchen, and of course the awesome view. Really like how the cabin is decorated more like a classic home instead of having antlers and moose heads all over the place. Just makes it feel more like a home away from home and make it that much more comfortable. Great place and can't wait to come back.

Wagon Wheel Ridge is rustic elegance at its best! The furnishings and bedding are lovely and luxurious while also being comfortable and cozy. The view is spectacular and we spent a large part of our 5 night stay sitting on the porch's rocking chairs sipping on hot chocolate with marshmallows. We also very much enjoyed the hot tub, the campfire (wood conveniently provided) and the basketball court - fun for the whole family! The kitchen is very well equipped with good quality items in abundance. In particular we appreciated the fine quality of the knives, silverware and serving dishes. The cabin was sparklingly clean and well-maintained. We didn't use the TVs, satellite, DVD, sound system or wireless internet very much but when we did use them we were pleased to find detailed and correct instructions. Everything worked, was in great condition, was of good quality and was easy to use. The owner was always quick to respond to questions when we were considering booking and sent very helpful directions and instructions for our journey once we had booked. The surrounding area is lovely. Just driving around is a breathtaking experience. We enjoyed a morning of antique and home-decor type shops in Ellijay and had several nice meals in the town. Our son particularly like the hayride and running around amid the pumpkins at Burt's Farm. I am sad to say that we did not particularly enjoy the Apple Festival but that might have been more to do with the difficulty of taking a 2 year old to a festival of that type! (Do note that there were very few things apple-related there which was disappointing, but a lot of home made crafts which was nice to see). WWR is not very far from the town, which was great for going to get a few groceries. The Ingles Grocery Store (very nice store with good wine selection) and the Walmart with grocery store are convenient to get to by car as is the quaint historic downtown area. In general Wagon Wheel Ridge exceeded our expectations and was a fantastic place to have a family getaway. We are already thinking of booking for next year and we have recommended WWR to numerous friends and family members as well.

From the winding and wooded steep incline of the road to the Wagon Wheel Cabin, you know something spectacular is waiting your arrival. And was it ever! From the cabin there were ever changing views of the valley and mountains from an early morning colorful sunrise to the spotlight of the afternoon sunshine on the thick forest. The cabin was cozy-comfortable while prestine with all the amenities you need and more. The galley chef's kitchen made preparing the morning breakfasts a delight. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. Grilling on the large wooden deck while capturing the views and enjoying the tranquility made us feel like and realize we were miles from the hustle and bustle of the city. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch, drinking a cup of coffee, and watching the sun rise was most rewarding! At night we enjoyed the roaring fire in the fireplace while watching our favorite football team on the large HDTV! The location makes it easy for some fantastic day trips, too. We climbed the board walk to the Amicolala Falls, took in a concert and balcony dinner overlooking Delonega, road the Blue Ridge Railway from Blue Ridge to Tennessee and enjoyed many of the apple farms, antique shops and even a grist mill along our way. This was a very enjoyable vacation and we will surely go back! Thank you for making this a fond memory for our family!

Our weekend at Wagon Wheel Ridge was everything we'd hoped it would be -- the house was beautiful and well maintained; the view was wonderful; and we spent a good deal of time in the rocking chairs on the front porch. The rental process was seamless -- they even had country music playing when we arrived! It was an easy drive from Atlanta, and we didn't see another soul all weekend. I would definitely recommend Wagon Wheel Ridge!

This was by far an excellent getaway and one I would highly recommend to others. The owners did a wonderful job of describing the location, cabin and features. All of our questions were answered prior to arrival and there were no surprises once we arrived. We were given detailed directions to the cabin, without them you would never find which makes it all the better, stuck on the side of a mountain was this fantastic cabin. Extremely clean, well furnished and very well taken care of. I would highly recommend staying here and have ever intention of making reservations again in the future. A wonderful place to getaway and forget the worries of the world. A+ Experience, one I will not forget.

Our family enjoyed a much-overdue long weekend following the end of "tax season." Wow, what a place! For the technology junkies like me, the entertainment system was incredible and the internet service was flawless. But more importantly, the cabin was well-secluded, very peaceful and afforded us the chance just to relax. The view is breath-taking and the cabin amenities are top-notch.I hope we get to visit this area of Georgia again, and when we do, I hope this cabin is available!!!

Steve was very helpful to us in offering Wagon Wheel Ridge as our place to stay after our original place had no heat. It was during the recent snowstorm and he definitely rescued us. The place is beautiful and we enjoyed the time we spent there. He was also kind enough to give us a ride to our vehicle when we left, since we could not get up the hill in the snow.

We just returned from our wonderful stay at WWR. The pictures don't do the house (or the view) justice. The house feels like a home away from home with lots of extras that you wouldn't find at other places. We especially enjoyed the rocking chair front porch, the hot tub and the electric blanket! As a note, my cell phone (Verizon) didn't work well at the house, but it was kind of nice to just turn it off and not be bothered! We would highly recommend this rental to our family and friends. Thanks for a great weekend! Aimee

We have stayed at many, many cabin rentals in the last 30 years, between North Georgia & Gatlinburg, but now that we've discovered WWR, our search for the PERFECT place is over! We will NEVER have to look again. WWR is IT! The incredible woodwork and trim blew us away, having come from a background of master craftsmen. We decided we could sit on that front porch with Lady and Slim Pickens for the rest of our lives! Thank you SO much for sharing this incredible place with us! We WILL be back, and after sharing photos with our family & friends, they too are hoping to visit WWR soon!

This was even nicer than we expected and a perfect spot for a young family. It was immaculate, beautifully appointed, and comfortable inside and the views were breath-taking. Our kids enjoyed the teen loft and games upstairs, the basketball court, the large hot-tub with views of the mountain, and the fire pit outside. (They really loved the friendly neighborhood dogs that visited too!) The road up to the property is a bit rough, but worth the climb for the views. It was convenient to the Kanagaroo Conservation Center, Amicalola Falls and Springer Mountain, but we really felt like we were away from it all once we got back. The owner was very responsive and helpful. It was great visit and we highly recommend it!

WOW, WWR is an excellent place for a weekend retreat. The inside and outside of the cabin are immaculate, the view is wonderful and the hot tub is a great place to relax. As a techie, I appreciated having the wireless internet available (my cell didn't have good coverage through AT&T) so I could stay in touch with the outside world. Although it rained much of our stay, my wife and I didn't mind since the leather couch in the living room was the perfect place to watch a movie on the HD flat screen TV. All in all, an excellent place to catch up on some R & R. already.

We visited five days over Christmas and the cabin & experience was fantastic. The owners even cut a fresh tree from the property & decorated it for our visit! It was awesome. The rocking chairs on the front porch were perfect. The view— beautiful. The hot tub was relaxing and perfectly located for an outstanding view of the mountains. The décor was mountain casual and tastefully done. Linens, towels, blankets—all top quality. Great layout. Fantastic commercial grade grille outside—we used it just about every day. The cabin is well located—we hiked at area parks & drove on back mountain roads (the cabin is close to the back road to the start of the Appalachian Trail –Springer Mountain)—very cool. We highly recommend Ft. Mountain State Park, Amicalola Falls State Park, and Dahlonega & Ellijay. The four boys/young adults who joined us for three days enjoyed panning for gold in Dahlonega. We highly recommend this cabin!
